These are absolutely gorgeous! I remember doing a similar craft back in the early 70's, except we put glue on the front of the image and glued it to the inside of the jar, then painted over the back of the image. I sure would have loved to have had that beautiful allure back then! I think it really made everything "pop." :o)
OneVeryHappyBird Oh, wow! That sounds beautiful. I wanted to paint the inside of the glass, but I thought if you use food products it might not be a good idea.
+Linda Bell I still have them and use them almost every day Linda! Make sure to check out my blog for more photos of all the projects I make! www.MarkMontanoBlogs.blogspot.com
Hola Mark te quedaron divinos los frascos me encantóy los colores super lindos como siempre mil gracias por darnos tanto son divinos tus trabajos hasta la próxima bye mua.
These are beautiful! I have glass jars laying around and using a marble on the lid is brilliant! I also have some beautiful wine bottles around too and I'm not sure what to do with them. Would you consider making a DIY video repurposing empty wine or liquor bottles?
I love this, they are gorgeous. I have had some glass milk bottles for ages and I didn't know what to do with them. I think this would look great. It's a shame I'm in the UK and can't yet get hold of the E6000 paint :( I'll either have to wait or try another brand. But once again, such a great idea.
***** You are *forever* making me reclaim items from the recycle bin! Pretty soon, they won't have a need to stop by my house, lol! Thanks for the inspiration.
You can do both OR one or the other depending on your needs. If it's decorative, inside is nice. If you're putting food in it (like rice or lentils, I would only spray the outside.
awww pretty! i have a ginger jar collection...mostly, because my name is ginger, and people think it's cute to gift them to me...which i tend to agree. =)
Love this and the dimensional paint is gorgeous. Question? Did you spray paint the outside or inside of the jars. I am thinking outside, but I could see the reflection of the glass in the video. Thanks for another fantastic video.
EvaEvaEva923 I sprayed the outside of the jars. It made things much easier AND safe for food if in fact you want to store things like coffee or creamers in there.
Perfect timing. have lots of bottles to reclaim, Like the marble idea and gold paint for lids. I will start right away.. Just caught your tube today..aloha
I'm gonna make some when I'm moved. I always love changing the house up and instead being frustrated when shopping cause nobody has stuff like this, I'll make it myself
Lovely!!!You have so many great ideas.I cant wait to make these.Me & my mom have a small box of saved jars....this is the perfect project for them. Thanks so much for sharing!!!
I've just only come across the Allure Dimensional Paint, and it's gorgeous! Really brings out patterns so well. Again, I love your work, Mark! Much love from Malaysia!
+Thar Chandran Hey Thar, it's great stuff. I love using it! Make sure to check out my blog for more photos of all the projects I make! www.MarkMontanoBlogs.blogspot.com
Beautiful jars! I tried the link for the E6000 Allure Gloss Dimensional Design Adhesive Paint but there wasn't a price. Very interested to buy the e6000 Allure is there another place I can buy from?
These are so pretty!!! I'm actually thinking of making my own, and use them as gift jars since I've been looking for a creative way of wrapping my friend's present. Thanks for sharing your idea! ♡
Hello Mark!!! Did you paint the glass on the outside or inside? I can not notice that in the video. If on the outside... did it caused any problem while gluing the paper to the paint afterwards? BTW, I really like them.
I painted the glass on the outside so that if you put tea inside it's not touching paint. You can do it either way depending on what you put inside the jars.
I'll be glad when these paints are available to the public, I'd much rather use then instead of the tulip brand.. I'll wait another week but I have a project deadline to meet...
I already do!!! You are one of my favs!! I do try and help support your channel. I love your diy's, and you are one of the few people who do respond when someone leaves you a comment. I really appreciate that quality and have a lot of respect for you and for what you do. Thank you again!!! Absolutely love you!!! Have a great day....
so I've got this large fish tank that really has no use any more. I had a thought of turning out into some type of table or setting. but I've got a mind block on how to get started....any ideas that could help?? 😁😁
What kind of printer do you use to print these type projects on? I've been wanting to make some of these but didn't have anywhere to put them, now I do.
Does the polycrylic seal it enough that you'd be able to handwash it if needed? I want to use this idea to decorate the outside of my olive oil bottle. Thanks.
when i seen the list of things need i was trying to figure out what you were going with the marbles lol, now i see -lovely. been a while since i did any thing like this, may have to do a couple like this for my sewing room to hold pins in.
No, these are spray enamel paints......Spray paint. You could use something called Gloss Enamels from DecoArt. Bake and cure them and they are dishwasher safe.
Hi Mark, I went to Michael's to see if I could purchase the allure paint. They didn't supply this brand. So I'm wondering where can I purchase this particular brand. Thank you, Maribel
Random and slightly unrelated, but so you have a recommendation for non-dimensional permanent fabric paint? I can't decide which to use, and you're the expert. :P
Thank you so much. I don't drink coffee but I bet they aren't very expensive so tossing the coffee won't hurt me to bad. I am going to keep a look out for them. Thanks again.
I tried using e600 to glue bead to a jar like you did here with the marble but after it dried completely it all peeled off really easily within a week. Why does this happen? I thought e600 was a permanent hold. Am I doing something wrong?
Bec Elene Hey Bec, was there a painted surface on the bead or jar? If so that might be the reason. Also you might try scoring your pieces. That always helps me. Scratch both surfaces a tiny bit before you glue them together. Also, if you follow the instructions on E-6000, it helps to put a tiny bit of glue on both pieces first, let them set for a minute and then smoosh them together.
Let's say I wanted to paint the jars but still be able to see through them (the parts that aren't covered by flowers). Could I accomplish that by using less coats of paint? Or will they pretty much be opaque from first coat? Could this project also be done with plastic jars?
You could use a stained glass paint from Krylon. It comes in red, yellow and blue and you can mix the colors to make green, orange and purple by layering.
+Sandra Hiltz So easy to make Sandra. I use mine all the time and I love them. Make sure to check out my blog for more photos of all the projects I make! www.MarkMontanoBlogs.blogspot.com

I'm going to make these ginger jars.
Everything you make is simply gorgeous! I'm so glad I found you.
Instead of polycrylic can I use triple thick?
I'm so glad you found me, too Donna!
I love this, they are gorgeous. I have had some glass milk bottles for ages and I didn't know what to do with them. I think this would look great. It's a shame I'm in the UK and can't yet get hold of the E6000 paint :( I'll either have to wait or try another brand. But once again, such a great idea.

Hi I would love to make this project it very beautiful..my question is do I spray them on the outside or the inside?

EvaEvaEva923 I sprayed the outside of the jars. It made things much easier AND safe for food if in fact you want to store things like coffee or creamers in there.
Mark Montano you don't need a special kind of paint for the glass? Love the idea of marbles for handles!

Hey Mark, have you tried washing these ginger jars or how would you clean them? By the way they are beautiful... ; )
Kae M If you are sure to coat in Minwax, they will wash easily with a damp sponge.
These are so pretty!!! I'm actually thinking of making my own, and use them as gift jars since I've been looking for a creative way of wrapping my friend's present. Thanks for sharing your idea! ♡

Does the polycrylic seal it enough that you'd be able to handwash it if needed? I want to use this idea to decorate the outside of my olive oil bottle. Thanks.

Ariana Ramirez Yes, spray the outside. It's better if you're filling them with food stuff.
Hey can u please help me is acrylic colours using on jar and using clear coating spray on them can help the work to last long?

Hi Mark, could you use a fabric for the print instead of paper?
nakianakia Yes, you could. You can apply it with the Minwax OR you can photo copy the fabric, too.
Very nice I'm learning so much from your videos!

martina sanchez Me, too. I can't seem to throw them away.
Where did you find those larger jars with the awesome tops? I can't seem to find anything like that anywhere. Great job and great find.
Sabrina Duncan They are my instant coffee jars. I buy at least 2 a month and always save them for projects. I think it's called Hillside Coffee.
Thank you so much. I don't drink coffee but I bet they aren't very expensive so tossing the coffee won't hurt me to bad. I am going to keep a look out for them. Thanks again.

Hi Christine! Great to see you today!
Thanks for the tips. I will try this next time I use the glue. Much appreciated!

Awesome! Can the Minwax Polycrylic and E-6000 glue be used on plastic jars too? I have a lot more luck finding plastic jars than glass ones.
Sailor Hathor Yes, but use the E-6000 sparingly on the plastic.
