Thanks Bro. It helps a lot. Specially for those who order parts from abroad. And people should understand how important this is. Proper Sealing is vital for outside and inside. I was astonished before to find out how much dirt and grime can get inside overtime from seatpost junction and dropper post cut out. And most of the time people nerver even think about this spot
Hi Danny. Always enjoy your vids. A correction: you have been saying "serial number" when referring to a part number. A serial number is the number of a specific item, for example a frame will have a serial number, and often a fork will also. Bottom bracket components: not so much. Regards, Andy PS Press-fit is the devil's invention.
I guess Im asking randomly but does any of you know a tool to get back into an Instagram account? I was dumb lost my login password. I love any help you can give me
@Enoch Xander i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im in the hacking process atm. Takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
When i turn my mtb 2x10 in 12 speed, my local bike store instal Butom braket pressfit 92mm. I go crazy for never get the perfect chainline. Backpedaling drop chain in 50 teeths cog.
thanks for this video. i got mixed up when i was looking for a bb71 41a lol......there is a 41b & bb90/bb86.....shells are all the same diameter, but the widths and axle diameters (bearing inner diameters) are different lol
What would happen if you don't use the shell that connects both bearings? I think it would work as good as using that plastic piece... (And lighter setup, for weight weenies)
It protects moving parts from water and gunk that might get inside your frame. As far as weight goes, it is plastic and very light, no reason not to install it really
If you changing the BB, why not just use the old shell from the old bracket? They are compatible, and have zero wear out. Install new bearings with the old shell. No problemo!
How do you feel about a hardtail mtb build with a SRAM Crankset, Front Derailleur with SRAM/Truvativ Front shifter and a Shimano XT/XTR Cassette, Rear derailleur, and Rear shifter on the same bike?
Interesting part is the bearing (size, type) and sealing between Road and MTB. Unfortunately I haven't found these information in WWW. From the outside all looks similar but I'm sure its not.
@@XperiaVideosCR I know what it's for, but I'm sure this fella strips his bike down regularly....so those parts probably get cleaned and relubed often.

Fortunately I prefer aluminum frame that has threaded bb shell and standard length (bsa 73). But this one is a great catch

@Enoch Xander it did the trick and I finally got access to my account again. I am so happy!
Thanks so much you really help me out !
@Jasiah Maverick No problem xD

Is this the same logic for PRESS FIT BB-71 41-A and PRESS FIT BB-71 41-B ?
Is this the same with the hollowtech bb? Good vid btw!

It help protect it from corrosion after a while it gets rusted inside of the Bottom brackets, especially on old bikes😔.
Nice catch... great, and thanks for sharing that info....

i cant find any pf bb for deore cranks that says 94 mm in it..
Info i just needed. Thank you man.
Do you know when to use the included spacer and when not on a SM-BB94 MTB BB?
I supposed it is to use only for 89.5mm widht frame bb.
Do you use grease or primer and compound when installing?
Will this bracket fit a Shimano deore crankset?
Where to you put the 1 spacer In shimano
Thanks for the important information
Good tip bro!
This is interesting but does not agree what Shimano is saying on its website. BB92 press fit are interchangeable for road and mtb.
Bb for road on octalink 50$
Bb for mtb on octalink 15$
The road was 105 5500 model I think
basically the difference is the center piece?
What Is The Different Of Pressfit and Hollowtech II?
Hollowtech 11 refers to the crank design. The bottom bracket can be either press fit or threaded.
Hambini is shell man 👍
Nice info
Wait so which bb is for mtb
The one with the longer shell...
Hambini is well worth a follow if your interested in dodgy bottom brackets.
Some of the frames he show’s are terrible engineering.
Yeah Hambini machines some beautiful BB shells... OMG... if I had the money, he'd be my guy for sure...
41А - MTB. 41B - road.
Yeah but you don't need the shell
That's my thought as well. Just ditch that bit of plastic.
@@chrispalmer3096 you need it to protect the bearings...

hambini, token are better than shimanos
