Thank you for your kind comments - monarchy is "in the blood" so your feelings may be a reflection of that. Continuity, stability, dedication and resolution in a changing and unstable world are powerful assets, and our queen has set a firm and lasting example. May you have a peaceful, happy and contented New Year.
Thank you RedSquirrelCrossing - I love your Queen. My ancestors came from what is now the UK. Very very proud of that and I admire Elizabeth II tremendously. Dedication and duty - rare traits but not rare in her.
When I was watching this live I found it unbelievable that there was no-one from St. Paul's who was responsible for having the right text in place for the reader at a broadcast service of that scale. I'm sure there will be will next time!
I think she has learnt to check which page is showing before starting to read from it. When I was at school doing such readings, the person before usually prepared the text for the next reader. Perhaps that was the case here and a slight wind caused the pages to flip back again.
What's a "toff"? lol. I went to the Nat'l. Cathedral in Washington DC in 1991 to see the Queen. While there wasn't much bowing or curtsying, what struck me were the comments people were making behind me--especially one hausfrau: "She's still got a great pair of legs on her"--as if she were talking about a racehorse. There was enough distance that the Queen couldn't hear her, but it made me wonder what sort of **** HM must hear when she makes public appearances.
There was simply not enough bowing and curtsying as HM left the Cathedral. And the men in the background as she approaches the top of the stairs on departure are joking around as though St Paul's is a pub. People stand and glare at her, like she's any old person on the street. At the risk of sounding like a boring toff, it is really disappointing.
wow it's amazing how youthful and energic her majesty is at her age
god save the queen & may she live many more years

The children singing, "The Call of Wisdom" was wonderful!!! Another great upload:-)
God save our queen!!! Many more years your Majesty!! God Bless!
I think she handled her misfortune very well. She smiled radiantly as did one of her fellow readers behind.

Yes, she handled it very well. I wonder who made the mistake, her or someone before her.
