congrats on getting straight to the tour and not being one of these presumptuous youtubers who think that everybody wants to hear their every thought. seriously. good job.
Nice video showing what you can get in Paris! When I first arrived in Paris I lived around that area and paid 400 euros for rent. As nice as it was, I'm glad to be living in a bigger place now (event hough still small) 😅 A place that I can furnish myself to my style, I'm currently making videos about it so thanks for the inspiration!
Hey! This is awesome! That view is unbelievable 😍 I’d definitely love to hear about how you applied for CAF… Even step by step if possible 😅 I had it last year for TAPIF year one, but I had the whole thing kinda filled out for me because I lived in a Foyer des Jeunes Travailleurs. Looking forward to the next video :)
Hi Sara, just seeing this now!! I ended up talking a weeeee bit more about CAF in my next vid (which also happens to be the last one I've filmed in a while 😅) but imagine you've already submitted your application -- in which case I hope everything ended up okay!! (If not, you should check out the language assistants in France fb group, I think people have shared screenshots on how they applied for CAF and would be much more helpful than my ever failing memory ☺)
When I tell people that it is more expensive to live in an average American city than in Paris, they don't believe me. Here's the proof. On top of paying $1,500 for a one-bedroom apartment (with no services), I need a car and all the expenses that come with both.
American teaching in France? pop punk? roller skates? we would be best friends. but actually, I love your videos, they’re so helpful! any tips for getting CAF as quickly as possible? I applied last year and never got it. I’m moving back to Toulouse next week for year 2 of TAPIF :)
hey Erin ! Happy to hear from a fellow teaching, pop-punking, roller skating enthusiast :) and stoked that these vids are helpful ! re CAF, the tips I've got at the moment are to apply as soon as you move in, regularly check your account to see if they're asking for additional documents, and follow up with a phone call -- after several months of waiting, I called them to see if there was anything missing, and then a week later I had the money in my account (I suspect my application was in paperasse purgatory up until that point for whatever reason). I have yet to really look through the application again, but I'll prob do that before next week's vid in case there are some other tips slipping my mind. Anyway, good luck with your second year of TAPIF!
I am an international student in Paris and looking for an affordable studio. How did you find this studio? Is it possible for you to share the contact of the owner or any POC or the website link who can help me find such a studio apartment please? It’ll be really helpful.
Fabulous tour! Looks like it's just enough space, and you organized it well! Looking forward to the future video about how you found it: oh, to find a studio in Paris under 1K/mo and no roomates 🥺
Thank you Laura !! Agreed, the apartment search feels akin to the Hunger Games. Will definitely fill you in on how I found the place in the next vid ! (It kind of warrants a bit of explanation, otherwise I’d spill all the tea in this reply)
Lemme know if you’ve got any questions !
How did you find this amazing and affordable apartment? 😱😂

This is an amazing deal!!!!
Loved the video!
Do you only qualify for CAF if you are a student? or can you be working?
love the apartment & how realistic it looks. the view is amazing but just be careful in showing ur view bc creepy people might find u that way.
I’m sure she’s seen this maybe you should delete it to not give creepy people the idea to do that
Where did you find the appartment ?
Thank you !

Are you also smuggling PanOxyl in your luggage from the US? 😂
Hahahahahaha I feel SEEN (seriously though…there may or may not be 3 more of those hiding in my suitcase 😎)
Wait I JUST noticed the “also” in your comment, are you a fellow Panoxyl smuggler ?!? Have I found one of my own ? 🥺
You talk way too fast ....it's tiring to listen to you. Take a breath and slow down....
