Brings back fond memories of the class I took with you in Custer, SD. That was so much fun and I really learned a lot. Thanks for sharing you knowledge with us. All the best in 2021.
The was by fare the best critiqued training tip done thus fare . I definitely was a able to follow each graduation of this movement.Thank you VT team kicked off the year eloquently!
Great video as always Lav! The cues Larry uses "Think about your belt buckle always leading into the turn" make a huge difference in getting the point across! I remember in his Tactical Arms show he had a training tip about carbine stance/grip and made the analogy along the lines of "You have more control holding a garden hose closer towards the nozzle, you wouldn't hold a hose 2 feet back from the end" in how it applies to controlling a rifle/carbine.
Something that I noticed, because gun fighting is a game of inches (MOA for you Pros) using this pivoting motion will get you off the X. That is to say you're no longer in the place where the threat first saw you. Excellent video!
Maybe next time can you have the camera "person" give a wide angle view showing your whole body so we can see it all in one even flow. I do like the tips. This is something that I will have to start practicing.
Pat McNamara corrected me on this at a course ... "always turn in to the known." Kinda like Larry's "turn in to the turn." The "lead with your toe, not your heel" sticks well too. Too much trying to "game the time" on pistol drills and too many spin hook kicks over the decades I suppose ... LOL!
Thanks, great stuff to work on without ammo. Congratulations on 9000000000⁰00 subs. Thinking back to Tactical Impact and how cool that was. I appreciate the knowledge you share with us.
Hi Larry just a suggestion but rather than lifting the foot to the rear trail it round with the toe touching the floor (much like a skid turn), you may find it will add stability to the body through the motion of the turn. Thus, the head won't bob up and back down again but allow a level alignment with the target as you turn.
Maybe you can do a video or explain how you're using your sling? I haven't seen someone use it like this, with the portion from the stock going under the armpit instead of over the shoulder.
If you've ever taken ammo prices for granted, but then when you watch a youtube channel of a guy in flannel mag-dumping because he gets ammo from sponsors and you remember you don't have a youtube channel like that, hit that subscribe button
Larry, there was a video of an operator that delt with addiction and overcame it. I use to watch it every few months. It inspired me. I believe he was a Sgt major. The video was supporting anti veteran suicide. Help us make sure this top Sgt is ok and why the video was removed.
It might take just a little longer, but I use column right, column left, and to the rear march for my turns. It's just so ingrained, everything else doesn't feel right. I know. I should probably change.
Larry- please tell BCM to put the pistol braces back on their pistols on their webpage!!! It just looks weak taking their braces off on their site. I have two BCMs and am so disappointed in this.
0:49 But just for anyone watching this video... There is probably a 99.9999999999999% chance this will never ever ever happen. But yeah keep training and hoarding those firearms and ammo, just incase haha.
U do know he was delta force right? Look up qualifications for that before you comment on things you don't know about. And some of known his missions are known and told by him and others. He is a badass. Everything in this video is correct. Just to let you know. I don't like to see false information on men who dedicated parts of their life's for freedom. Respect it or just don't comment.
Vickers courses are great. Especially for building a base set of skills.

Such a fucking badass. By far the most knowledgeable SF guy I've ever seen. Doing a service giving out these tips.
I WANT UNCLE LARRY TO GIVE ME HIS TIP. LARRY HALP
@Travers Kilroy Cooper Alvirez it’s all most people can handle tbh
You should take a class with him he is a riot and keeps you laughing.
@@richardxo507 it's probably super expensive though right
@@finnanutyo1153 it's all worth it especially if you don't have the military or LEO experience because there is a lot to learn.
How I learned turns some 20 years ago. Thank you for the nostalgia.

One of the few surviving channels that do gun stuff.

We still have Garand Thumb
Thanks Larry! Movement with a gun gets left out of a lot of classes, leading with your belt buckle is a helpful way of thinking about this one.
always factual and professional , which is what is needed now

Larry every time I see that Mod 0 stock I'm reminded of how much I want one for a grey carbine I have. Happy new year!
One of the best tips you given so far! Thank you very much sir

I learned this from you first hand and I still practice it, thanks for all the knowledge!
Thanks and Blessings Larry!

Good stuff - as always
Need a wide shot of him doing tips and not from the waist up like this, for future reference.
That was the first thing I noticed and wanted to see if I was going to learn to turn. Need to see those feet and legs.

It's nice learning from a south paw for once! keep them coming us lefties appreciate it.

I will practice only dry fire anyway, short on ammo. Great video Vic
Perfectly acceptable to dry fire this - stay safe !
Excellent instruction.

The LAV PIMPIN it as usual 😎😉
Good advice, 💪💪👍👍

BCM needs to up their production. Iv been waiting 6 months to buy an upper. Always out of stock!
Awesome Larry🚀
Kind of interesting how the similarities are with some fencing techniques I've learned.
Picket or chain link?
Make sense great tip. Thanks
Had to reverse things up because im right handed LOL great tips !
Though these skills are of no use to me, I regularly watch Larry's video.
so basic and yet so crucial. strangely difficult for many to fully wrap their heads around it too.
Awesome.
Is there any particular reason you dont have a light on your rifle anymore uncle Larry? I remember the old vids you had a x300 before.
It might take just a little longer, but I use column right, column left, and to the rear march for my turns. It's just so ingrained, everything else doesn't feel right. I know. I should probably change.
Think more like Bayonet fighting-- WHIRL!!
you should create another book that is all about optics and their history
To everything there is a season turn turn turn
Good stuff LAV... -AMM
What sights are you using on that AR?
Can u make top 10 ar pistols
Is that rifle 300 black out it seems harder hitting than. 223?
How does the environment impact the efficiency of the execution of things that are on autopilot?
do a larry at the movies video on “man on fire”
Great tips and presentation of them! Hope you have a great New year and thank you for everything you do LAV! ✌️
Lunchbox Larry showing us how it’s done
Hi Larry!
BCM needs to figure out production they dont have anything in stock
Alot of companies don't. High demand. Daniel defense puts pdws in stock every week and mark 18 uppers sold out the same day.
they sure shittin do. been that way too long to
BCM doesn’t make ARs they build them is why.
My point stands..they need to figure out production
Amen, it's like a ghost town on that site
I use those gloves hell yeah
I've been seing a lot of ex-military and vets showing either low-ready or high-ready, what's your take on this?
In combat I'd say high-ready. I'm not in the military btw. So I haven't really earned this opinion
Nobody asked either one of you

@@justing42 you don't have to be a dick about it, man.

Ask George Hand he will give you some LAV stories
Allen

It's tactical
I can see Chris Farley imitating this guy.
Like will if there are subtitles in Spanish, please.
Can't train if my ar isn't built cause I'm waiting on a mk2 :3

Very similar to turning in martial arts. Obviously gun fighting is the modern martial art.
