Hey ive been reaching desperately trying to get some guidance on creating my ideal ROTJ luke saber. Im not overly concerend about screen accuracy. What i would like is a quality, aluminum V2 but with a brass neck / windvane section. Im not sure if most v2 hilts out there have neck / windvane components that can be unscrewed and replaced with brass, or is that section usually one solid piece of machined aluminum? I tried reaching out to Solos Hold, becuase i like thaylt hilt a lot, but havent heard back. Is there any company ir desginer out there that would helo me create this? Again im lookomg for a v2 (graflex clamp, mystery chunk, cone stud, etc) but with a solid brass thin neck and windvane section, instead of the screen accurate black. I want to have it installed as a neopixel lightsaber and if theres a way to have a crystal chamber / chassis that would really make my dream saber. I figured i would save and get exactly what i want instead of setteling . Thank you so much for pointing me in the right direction as im brand new ro the hobby!
V2's don't have a brass or copper neck, they are all solid aluminum (or steel in the case of Romans V2). Something like a Rudy pando V3 has a removable copper neck, that would probably be your best bet. If you specifically want brass you can have a brass neck machined for it. The V2 and V3 are pretty similar in terms of dimensions, it just doesn't have an emitter nipple but you could have one of those machined no problem. The only other option would be to paint the neck of a V2 brass. Hope that helps
