Well to be fair, singing the same octave (which is what hobi is doing most of the time) is not considered harmonizing, and is known as octave doubling. _However_ people who say BTS don't harmonize are so wrong bc songs like I Need U, Run, Paradise, 13[whatever the hell the rest of the #'s are], Rain, Love Maze, Hold Me Tight, Dead Leaves and many others have very pretty harmonies indeed!
at this point i think they just record hoseok’s sounds on a daily basis and have an entire sound board of just him so they can add his noises in whenever
I dunno ad lib in this context is actually a less descriptive term, since it includes melodic lines, shouts, and everything in between. I kind of doubt the (theoretical) soundboard is gonna have hoseok’s hidden harmonies (some of which aren’t ad libs but some are) when it’s the noises that are more interchangeable between songs. Not that I would really complain either way. In the end the English language has synonyms for when denotation isn’t enough, connotation is also important

just as a fact hoseok didnt gave up anything, namjoon, yoongi and hoseok rapped together before they even had a vocal line; i belive tae and jimin tried rapping but they decided it didnt work. The idea that hoseok and tae switched parts is a rumour hopefully this clears things up. :)
oh? i read that tae auditioned by rapping but eventually he decided he really wanted to sing, so hs swapped his initial vocalist position w tae so he could develop his singing.. maybe giving up his position was too strong of a phrase for me to use but idkk
pre made , in different interviews even on burn the stage they say they tried to make a only rap hip hop group , and in old bangtan bomba tae tried making rhymes and stuff that's true , the part that is not true is that hoseok gave up singing for tae they never switched , namjoon yoongi and hoseok were doing raps and training even before tae joined , they have songs where is only them rapping, and even in the beginning hoseok had the tag of vocalist as well , he has always been a part of te vocal line , i hope this is better explained 💚💚

Well to be fair, singing the same octave (which is what hobi is doing most of the time) is not considered harmonizing, and is known as octave doubling. _However_ people who say BTS don't harmonize are so wrong bc songs like I Need U, Run, Paradise, 13[whatever the hell the rest of the #'s are], Rain, Love Maze, Hold Me Tight, Dead Leaves and many others have very pretty harmonies indeed!

I dunno ad lib in this context is actually a less descriptive term, since it includes melodic lines, shouts, and everything in between. I kind of doubt the (theoretical) soundboard is gonna have hoseok’s hidden harmonies (some of which aren’t ad libs but some are) when it’s the noises that are more interchangeable between songs. Not that I would really complain either way. In the end the English language has synonyms for when denotation isn’t enough, connotation is also important
