- One of my favorite side of Namjoon is when he's being so done with BTS, and starts being sarcastic and passive aggressive. When BTS started doing interviews in English, it really put a lot of pressure on Namjoon. He always does an amazing job, but sometimes, he just completely gives up or push the members to speak in English, which always ends up chaotic for some reason!

And he must be really good at it, right? I mean he's really close to Halsey, he was the first member from the group that met her baby and I doubt Halsey is proficient in korean, Yoongi has to be good with english at least on a conversational level to be friends with her. And they have to communicate with all the american artists they've collaborated with somehow. Maybe he doesn't show he knows english not only to avoid being another translator for the group, but also because he's not confident enough in his speaking skills but he likely handles the listening and understanding part of the language.

My mom who is an actual translator for Korean parents at schools said once that his summary translations are actually quite accurate since it somehow carries all the meaning with a fraction of the words 😂😂😂

As the best leader of the group, Namjoon has worked hard translating on behalf of his beloved members but they have all improved their English after studying the language, they now understand and can speak it very well, so in interviews Namjoon doesn't translate as much as he used to do at the beginning
I know for sure Jin and Suga speak English at some good level. They just don't care about it. 🤣

Namjoon has such an important role in BTS and I don't know many people who recognize his talent. It's not that he's bad at dancing or tone deaf, it's that he pours his heart into each of their performances and that is really admireable. He's the translator, the leader and BTS wouldn't be the same without any of the members, and I can't imagine a better leader than RM.
I m also thinking same why everyone not like him ??? He is good at everything when it comes work he will be great job as leader , Responsebilty , dance , cute hot genious , kind sweet guy ..why everyone not like very much if u understand him definitely fallen for him i think world is unfair to spl our RM ..all the best namjoon ur the best for us fighting 👍👍👍👍
I didn't know there's such a thing - people not liking him. I'm surprised. I guess they are not his people. It's better to have fewer but true, loyal, and nice fans.
As for me, RM is the reason I started to like BTS. He has a bright infectious smile. Also he's incredibly intelligent/smart. I like watching him in "Problematic Man".
I know also a time where he was asked if he choose BTS or Solo and he choose BTS and only because RM, Jk came too BTS because Jk was a fanboy of RM and he is one of the best leader I ever saw like he cares and he is super talented what not everyone sees but true ARMYS WILL LOVE EVERYONE OT7💜( I know everybody has someone who you likes the most but you shouldn’t hate or disrespect the other members)💜

I don't think people understand how difficult translating is, whether you're raised bingual or have learned a language, it's not a skill that naturally comes to everyone! I'm extra grateful to our translator ARMY especially.
Exactly! Like even if you know the languages it isn't easy translating it and or delivering the message. It needs a lot of practice to master it completely
In past when Bts used to get lot of hate comments, namjoon used to translate them into positive ones even tho he knew what it meant. My respect for namjoon increases alot 🤌💜

Dont downplay yourself with the dramas. The reason Namjoon knows english is because he had a desire need and want to learn it. You likely had no desire to learn korean which explains why you dont know a single word in it despite watching tons of korean content
