A suggestion for anybody who is interested. While you cannot easily get access to an electron microscope to look at stuff like viruses, you can still purchase a relatively inexpensive microscope online. I don't mean cheap school type microscopes, but those that are around $300 and up which have stereo view with two eye holes and magnify up to 2000x. You can see things that will make hairs on your skin stand up and skin crawl. Trust me.
Technically it's all false images, they have to add color. The photos that use electron microscopes are the real ones. Just do some research on the photos.
Most people with panic attacks experience several of the following symptoms: "Racing" heart. Feeling weak, faint, or dizzy. Tingling or numbness in the hands and fingers. Sense of terror, or impending doom or death. Feeling sweaty or having chills. Chest pains. Breathing difficulties. Feeling a loss of control.
Very interesting, So to develop vaccine we have to introduce instructions to immune system regarding response to particular protein? So like, the protein in a mixture designed to get the immune systems attention but not make it panic? Then immune system does the rest? Im fascinated how computer viruses have almost identical structure and behavior. Or does the antibody have to be developed and introduced so the body can disassemble and learn to make it? Im curious to see HOW they can map an entire genome and put it in a database then create molecules based on the genome Strange how a single cell can be so smart, it must have some kind of consciousness, almost like the laws of evolution/physics etc are a living force
Would someone please explain to me what is the correlation between 400nm in electromagnetic spectrum to 100nm in virus size to be able to see the virus?
@kieroto @jimboy de juan I found this information. Scientists have worked out that a light microscope cannot magnify any object of the size that is half of its illumination source's wavelength. So that means that the half of the 400nm (the lowest point) wavelength for visible light is 200nm, and the concerned virus is ~100nm which is less than 200nm. That's why it is not possible for light microscopes to visualize viruses and that is the correlation between size and wavelength.

A humble request there is place called Kerala in Southern part of India it had made a remarkable fight against Covid ..... only .5% fatality though economically weak kept its 3.5 million population safe .There was an article in Washington post about this can u please make video about it .....
Anila Devi ille no fr are you serious ?
This what I don't like about South Indian. Fight over language and brag about their little effort against any issue.

"It's THE Ohio State University"

Some people have great difficulty with definite articles and with English in general. Such people should not work in the media.
no the proper reference is just "Ohio State University" actually
Electron Microscopes are probably one of the coolest things to explore our gigantic world
You ever look at someones comment and say ”man i wish i typed that”
No
Yeah
Yeah I wish I typed this so I would get a lot of likes
Nope, I appreciate that others may have a better way with words than I do; I reward with a like
Man, I wish I typed that
Too bad the video is not longer. It would be great to see the production of a vaccine from start to thw end.
Detection-Electron microscope images- weakening the virus- production of vaccines-trials
It would be great to see the whole process step-by-step covered by professionals in future videos.
This is computer generated image of virus not actual virus.
You obviously didn't watch the video.
all images from an electron microscope are computer generated because you cant see electrons it senses electrons bouncing off the cell and creates an image from the signals
Not
The image from your phone camera is a computer generated image.
Shout out to Frank from OSU. I live on Ohio state campus and I am a patient at there .Thank you for all you do Frank. Thank you Beth also for bringing forth knowledge here also.
I need to go wash my hands after watching this
I don’t like how people make jokes about this. If they were one of those people who had corona virus they wouldn’t be making a joke. People are dying at an alarming rate and I find it rude that people keep making jokes.
Non-direct humor is a way to cope with the situation for some people.

Dogster, we are best pals ☝️
Man I have so much respect for these health care workers and scientists. They were all once little babies like you and I but are now working to tackle one of the most difficult things in our generation.
Coronavirus: Exist
Vox: "It's free real estate!"
Thank you. I've been looking for actual microscopic images on YT of the COVID 19 virus with a brief explanation of how it enters the human host.
Big up the NHS💙
Everyone should have access to free healthcare!
How will it be free for everyone when someone had to pay for it to be free for you lol
@@soretip69 Well nothing is truly free. NHS is funded by the government. Lol
@@oc911 and the government gets the money from......?
@@soretip69 Taxes of course. However in the UK there are no medical bills or call out costs if someone needs medical attention. My original comment should of stated "Universal Health Care" instead of "Free Health Care". Thats my bad, because obviously taxes fund the NHS.

Humans: Use microscopes and zooms to see viruses.
Viruses: *Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!*
yep impossible too small COVID-19 being -100 nm very deep but no visible.
means Visible Light Spectrum 400 nm next to COVID-19 around - 100 nm
yeah because viri can talk like humans do with human words
So all of those 3d images was a freaking lie
No, just a better way of portraying a 2d image...well to a much clearer 3d structure
Her last line just gave me so much hope.

Trust me.
When I search *coronavirus image* i can’t tell which is real and which is photoshopped
Technically it's all false images, they have to add color. The photos that use electron microscopes are the real ones. Just do some research on the photos.
Woah I just learn about jessus dying for my sin and you learned how to tell what look fakes.?😂😂
Most people with panic attacks experience several of the following symptoms:
"Racing" heart.
Feeling weak, faint, or dizzy.
Tingling or numbness in the hands and fingers.
Sense of terror, or impending doom or death.
Feeling sweaty or having chills.
Chest pains.
Breathing difficulties.
Feeling a loss of control.
don't forget all the coughing from inhaling too much febreeze
Very interesting,
So to develop vaccine we have to introduce instructions to immune system regarding response to particular protein?
So like, the protein in a mixture designed to get the immune systems attention but not make it panic? Then immune system does the rest? Im fascinated how computer viruses have almost identical structure and behavior.
Or does the antibody have to be developed and introduced so the body can disassemble and learn to make it?
Im curious to see HOW they can map an entire genome and put it in a database then create molecules based on the genome
Strange how a single cell can be so smart, it must have some kind of consciousness, almost like the laws of evolution/physics etc are a living force
Vox animation and explanation is the best!
I feel like grandayy or dolan dark will make a meme out of this in the next 72 hours
Super clear and informative, great job as usual Vox :)

Fun fact: They aren’t normally colored. They add the colors later
This is really fascinating information. 🤔
who
How did they get the virus?
Would someone please explain to me what is the correlation between 400nm in electromagnetic spectrum to 100nm in virus size to be able to see the virus?
I think it's because the visible light we see have wavelengths of 380nm to 700nm and it is way longer than the virus?
Yes impossible too small for COVID-19 being ~ 100 nm very Deep but no visible.
which COVID-19 ~ 100 nm size to others Virus -120 to 400 nm.
contexts wiki said Each SARS-CoV-2 virion is approximately ~ 50-200 nanometres in diameter.
then COVID-19 Range size around ~ 50 to 200 nm different.
@@desmaidikemprai2759 indeed knowledge that seem believe very little visible on 200 nm if be might COVID-19 not visible under ~ 50 nm unlike others Virus ~ 100-300 nm.
Props to the cameraman for risking his/her life to record the coronavirus.
Heartbreaking
Most people think this is Biology, but half of this stuff is Physics.
you're right but instead of physics it should read "pure speculation"
No actual proof of it here
But that is because you won't accept any proof...
look at the images
It’s the literal picture of it
No video, no motion pictures? Wonder how "action" is studied if action cant be seen.
