- This was the final day of the Hot Rod Power Tour 2024 and I had to get some of the very cool hot rods and classic cars on this UA-cam channel. I hope you enjoy seeing all the modified cars (including a W108 Mercedes that races!!) and a very expensive gold Cadillac. A huge thanks to my friend Randy at @AutoAuctionRebuilds for inviting me along. Although his Monte Carlo SS didn't complete the tour, we had a great time.

Mike, you need more vlogging videos like this. Great video! I also enjoy the fact that you just enjoy the cars. We don’t need a millions facts about them. Don’t stress. And you 100% need to do powertour next year in your own car. Randy needs a way to get home. Pimp out a Mercedes for powertour.

I seen the hydrogen powered pickup truck,walmart distribution where I work has been using hydrogen to power their equipment for years.I work at their distribution center new Albany Mississippi.
My dad had a blue Mercedes like that jsc 7 one that he had shipped over from Germany.

The rear engine dodge rampage and the hydrogen pickup are both built by mike copeland he was the other grey haired very intelligent gentleman under the tent with lucky costa

Been watching Randy's videos. And I have to say I am in agreement with you guys. Monster Transmission dropped the ball. Between sending a torque converter that lasted only from Oklahoma to the first event and a little bit past it, then not expediting the new convertor when they said they would and then ghosting Randy. Just what Randy has posted has made me not want to do business with a company who builds parts that don't last. I mean I could understand if it failed eventually. But something that new should have been able to go for years, one would hope. But failing within days of being installed, there is no excuse for that. Then there is the terrible customer service Randy got from them. I don't think I will ever buy anything from Monster Transmissions if I ever have to buy a transmission.
Now all that said, Mike. At least you guys got three days out of the trip, and you definitely looked to be enjoying yourselves despite all the setbacks with the Monte Carlo.

are you guys car guys? You never heard of a Manx? Really.
Please put the e bikes on a separate channel. Excited to be notified of a new MWM video and disappointed if it’s about e bikes. I realize you make money selling off free bikes but it’s your car videos even the Copart walk around I prefer to watch. I cannot fathom how AAR has so many more subscribers than you. You actually know what you are talking about, you actually work on and fix cars, you are much more telegenic and are obviously more sophisticated than Mr Shear who despite his effort cannot hide his lack of education, sophistication and frankly class. The AAR viewership is a mystery.
And i hate to say but they use the same hole punch at each stop on power tour to mark your long haul ticket so really the guys could have punched it and no one would have cared and still got their plaques
If you look closely, you will see that each stop has a differently shaped punch.
There were different punches. We checked.
@@MonkeyWrenchMike its still not a highly enforced thing if you have a ticket you can usually get your plaque they always have enough we have went platinum 4 times and at the end we were always given the left over swag and stickers

I'm sorry that the event didn't go to plan. I can understand how disappointed you would be.
That being said, Randy, you have gone too far with your criticism of Monster Transmissions . They supplied you with over $5 grand worth of product completely free of charge! Whatsmore You Randy were 100% responsible for installing it in the car. ( And we know there were mistakes made as park didn't work initially) Even if it was a catastrophic part failure, the expectation that they would drop everything and expedite a fix for parts you already didn't pay for.
I think Randy needs to realign those expectations with reality.
I was there when we discovered the park problem with Santa at AAR HQ. It was installed wrong at the factory. We corrected the pin that locks the granny in park and fully seated the bracket that was loose. 100% Monster’s fault. I also was there when the Monster rep promised to overnight the torque converter to that guy’s shop. She assured us it would be there the next day. Then she dropped the ball when she sent it “ground transport.” After that, she stopped answering Randy’s texts and ghosted us. Very unprofessional. Now you know the whole story.

The fact is that Randy read the text conversation verbatim in his video and nowhere did they promise to expedite the postage. In fact what they did was what any business would do and assured they would do their best . Power Your failing was not the responsibility of the transmission retailer who provided their product completely free of charge..
