+Davey David It's a ton of fun being back to it, too. Stoked you're diggin' it! Thanks for the props on calling out the the Crystalline Entity; freakin' love that show to this day.
+CheeseSauce I did end up killing him off-camera when I was lingering in the level for some Sunlight Medal coop after I killed the Golem. That dude is a tool with his bow-cheese before swapping out to the rapier namesake ... but thanks a ton, man!
+ineligible226 Thanks, dude! And ditto; I find when I'm just chillin' and listening/watching stuff in the background the PvE stuff works wonders, too. I think it's a little easier to just jam along with because of the logical flow of things and (hopefully) pick up some little bits of knowledge along the way. I've got a couple playthroughs that I go back and watch constantly. I'll definitely keep it rolling!
+Polygoing You're right about picking up bits of knowledge. Despite playing Souls games for hundreds of hours, until you mentioned it in a DS2 commentary I'd never realized that a dude pulling out his shield after two-handing all fight is a sure-fire sign of an incoming parry attempt. Small insights like that make the commentary even better.
+RevolverPhantom Thanks, man! Ditto; I hadn't been back to Lordran in any serious capacity for a _long_ while. Probably ill-conceived to make a "guide" style series with so much rust and dust ... but it's been a blast. Did you end up starting your new character?
Polygoing Honestly it's the dumbest reason why I haven't: I'm spoiled by the PS4 and don't feel like going back a gen right now. That and the desire to go through Super Metroid and Zelda: Oracle of Ages.
+Daniel Nelson Ha, case in point! How was the action? There's still a good amount of people out playing? The coop was a little slow, but I think I was playing at off times.
It was actually fairly constant for me, i was able to invade every minute or two. Granted this was on a Saturday and granted most of them were clearly new players, but it's still nice to know people are still out there.
So in this episode Poly wails on us Sunbros. *Pauses praising the sun for a moment to declare vengeance* *Resumes praising the sun* But seriously, glad this great series is back!
+Legend of Jonny I'm surprised I didn't catch more guff for ragging on you Sun Bros. There was a decent outcry when I badmouthed Solaire back in episode 2, but still pretty tame by internet standards. Apologies on interrupting your praising, but thanks a ton, man!
I always think the same about praise the sun. But I love the covenent and I also think that since this game is so secretive. Praise the sun is the first thing ppl kinda figure out.
+Tristan Barker Good call. The gesture is tricky to snag, too, as likely the first time you visit the Sunlight Altar you won't have 25 faith or have done that much coop, so it probably won't be active. I remember the first time I went back to the altar after Anor Londo on my first faith playthrough and got the, "Pray at the Altar of Sunlight" dialog and thinking, "What the hell? How did I miss this?"
We all know Well! What is it! Is the best gesture. I also like to do Sen's and Anor Londo in one big sweep as well because ain't nobody got time for backtracking. Can't wait for the O&S fight!
+Codeburst There's plenty of 'Well! What is it!' to come, for certain. I already captured O&S and it was pretty solid; I was rusty as hell when I first took 'em on and got harshly beaten up at the beginning, but as the fight played out all the timings and techniques came flooding back. Good times!
Well made and entertaining as always, Poly. :) I know the Iron Golem is just, like, a reanimated suit of armor, but I would like it if he groaned or screamed when falling off of the ledge.
Very entertaining run and commentary as always, glad I found this even if it's familiar stuff. What do I do differently? I always take a fatal fall or two in Sen's. I have a morbid fear of heights which makes Sen's and the PG room tougher than the rest of the game combined. (Not the Greatbow Knights for some reason. Vertigo is complicated.) The wide flag-stoned squares and promenades of AL are always such a blessed relief I couldn't care less about any hassle with O&S.
+riddarhyttan Yeah, this one and the next are pretty straight-forward as we pursue the Lord Vessel since everybody's gotta go through that, regardless of build. Super interesting with regards to the in-game heights; I wonder if the POV running up to the Great Bow archers helps, since the camera is often pointed up towards the ledge and a solid wall ... whereas in Sen's and the rafters the horizon simply shows more heights. Thanks as always, man!
+Ragnar the Red Oh, right ... I rarely kill Gwyndolin and totally forget about that chest at the end of the infinity hallway. Funny, too, as I almost said, "I was probably thinking of DkS2 where you get Sunlight Blade from the covenant." But that ain't true, either ... it's just hanging out in Amana. I must have a mental hurdle in front of it and just associate Sunlight [fill-in-the-blank] with the covenant. Spear, Medals, Blade ... incorrectly. Odd. And thanks, man!
+Wifitoaster I guess that makes the player character the vindictive scientist seeking revenge for her slain kid. My partizan resonates at just the right frequency ...
+Don Quijote Thanks, man! For a brief period before the PC version launched I remember hearing rumors that it would have cross-platform connections with the Xbox crowd. Didn't work out, but that would have been pretty slick. The claymore thirsts for blood!
Fun fact: There was a monster hunter game for the 360 wich was inly available for Japan, and I think Korea in wich you could connect with the people from the pc version of the game. So for me it's only a matter of buying an xbox and figuring out how to connect to pc. Wrote the same thing twice beacause im an idiot.

about stupid death, that's why we love and hate DS at the same time. there is no large or small mistake, its gust 1 mistake and "two words on your screen "))
+synchrofasotron The great equalizer ... I both love and hate the 20/20 hindsight that accompanies most deaths, too. "Why didn't I just ... ?" or, "Why did I try to ... ?"
there's nothing to not like about your stuffs poly, lovin' it.
+Aston Munyentwari Thanks a million, man. I'll keep it rolling!
This is my favorite series of yours, I'm so glad you came back to it, good stuff man
Oh nice TNG reference btw
+Davey David It's a ton of fun being back to it, too. Stoked you're diggin' it! Thanks for the props on calling out the the Crystalline Entity; freakin' love that show to this day.
Poly love the series and your videos ;)
+G- Thanks, G!
Enjoying the series, thumbs up. Would have liked to see you wreck Ricard, that bastard killed me so many times on my first playthrough.
+CheeseSauce I did end up killing him off-camera when I was lingering in the level for some Sunlight Medal coop after I killed the Golem. That dude is a tool with his bow-cheese before swapping out to the rapier namesake ... but thanks a ton, man!
This series is great. Catching up after watching the commentaries and these are just as good, if not better to chill out to. Keep it up man

PART SEVEN THE HYPE CONTINUES keep it up dude, love the series
+Logan Melius Will do, man. Come hell or high water we'll see this thing completed.
Glad to see more of this series. I've been thinking on a new DS1 character for a while since I haven't picked up the original in quite a while.
+RevolverPhantom Thanks, man! Ditto; I hadn't been back to Lordran in any serious capacity for a _long_ while. Probably ill-conceived to make a "guide" style series with so much rust and dust ... but it's been a blast. Did you end up starting your new character?

RevolverPhantom may I suggest getting really spoiled by playing it on PC at 4K60? :)
I personally would like an "Obfuscate the Sun" gesture.
Not sure what it'd look like, but I want it!
+pokashine For your vampire cosplay. Rock a Robe of Judgment and Obfuscate the Sun ... Twilightastic!
15:20 bahaha you just described me, i was actually invading in Sen's last weekend with a maxed lightning hand axe :D
+Daniel Nelson Ha, case in point! How was the action? There's still a good amount of people out playing? The coop was a little slow, but I think I was playing at off times.

YESSS YOU'RE CONSISTENTLY UPLOADING NOW!
also nice new intro
+Graham Kelley Thanks, Graham! For 2016 I gave my album art and intro a little upgrade; glad you dig it.
1:15 to 1:24 needs some like a boss
Very Entertaining.

I know the Iron Golem is just, like, a reanimated suit of armor, but I would like it if he groaned or screamed when falling off of the ledge.
+Jakuzure Nonon Thanks, man! That would be sweet if he groaned like the Bomb Chucker as he fell. With a Doppler effect as he plummeted further away.
+Polygoing Minor thing, the canvas talisman is much better (best to use under 35 faith) than the base talisman. why not use the canvas talisman?
R.I.P bomb thrower guy he will be missed
+Zanderman Cause of death: multiple puncture wounds to the head with lacerations to the calf muscle.
Very entertaining run and commentary as always, glad I found this even if it's familiar stuff.

Glad to this continued. By the way, you get sunlight blade for killing Gwyndolin. Would make more sense if warriors of sunlight gave it though lol.
+Ragnar the Red Oh, right ... I rarely kill Gwyndolin and totally forget about that chest at the end of the infinity hallway. TNG Hype
+kbergman1979 The Chosen Undead is actually Picard starring in Q's most elaborate game. I think Rhea is Dr. Crusher.
I think we may safely trust a good deal more you than we do.
"señor cebolla" xD
I like those vids
+rELATionGaming Thanks much! I'll keep it rolling.
haha the fuckin crystalline entity love it!
+Wifitoaster I guess that makes the player character the vindictive scientist seeking revenge for her slain kid. My partizan resonates at just the right frequency ...
sounds about right XD
There’s a 20K souls item in the cage near big hat Logan so I was a lil surprised u didn’t go there but souls can be gotten later after all
I'm a shrug man myself...
+Velindian Shrug is the scheizze. If I could only pick two gestures to express my emotions in DkS it'd be an easy choice: Joy and Shrug.
Great series man! Too bad you are on pc, I really wanted to show you the tip of my claymore :$
+Don Quijote Thanks, man! For a brief period before the PC version launched I remember hearing rumors that it would have cross-platform connections with the Xbox crowd. Didn't work out, but that would have been pretty slick. The claymore thirsts for blood!
