Yo Ash, Have you tried out Reyane's EDP Tobacco & Cognac? Would LOVE to here your take on it and see what it's "similar" to.... I got a small sample with my Insurrection Wild and it's absolutely fire. I can't figure out what it's supposed to be cloning , but @ $130 a bottle I'd love a second opinion before makin moves on it. I'll send this little tester to you if you're interested. I can't find anything online about this stuff, other than it's only sold at like 2 places. @gentsscents

Tobacco Vanille might be my favorite overall fragrance. I've never been a smoker, but several members of my family smoked cigars and pipes when I was growing up, and the smell of pipe tobacco always brings back memories from my childhood. Tobacco Vanille is a fragrance that I don't think I'll ever get tired of smelling, it's just such a comfort scent for me.

I absolutely LOVE Tobacco Vanille and have gotten massive compliments from it
i've heard people say it smells too sweet or too mature/old man-ish...but also heard people say Tom ford noir extreme is like a version of tobacco vanille for younger guys

Would never really consider Burberry London as a tobacco scent, but definitely wear it a lot during the Christmas period, as it really does smell like a Christmas Tree. But agree Ash, the scent itself is great.
If you are an adventurous and out of the box thinking person you should try layering Insurrection 2 Wild to Ameer Oud Intense Oud by Lattafa, you will be nicely surprised by how vanilla , sugar and smoke can transform into an addictive mellow /smooth and smoky sweet delicious scent!
Have both, pure malt is way better. My wife hates pure Havane on me. I’m not a huge fan of Havane either. Pure Malt is awesome tho!

I’m watching too much UA-cam. I have all of these and more. I actually rocked CK Shock today. I love this cheapie scent that in my opinion doesn’t smell cheap. It’s so easy to wear. On me it projects about 4 hours and last about 8-9 hours.

Completely disagree. They're great fragrances, but the asking price since they've been discontinued is absolutely ludicrous. Time to move on.
@@jakestein1406 yeah they used to be great value now that they're discontinued prices have gone through the roof. If you want a Pure Havane these days, fork out that extra bit of money, get Xerjoff Naxos instead and be done with it. I haven't found a high quality/niche alternative of Pure Malt though.
oh man, im fortunate enough to have pure havane and pure malt, the dry down on pure havane is just to die for... i prefer it over naxos anyday...
I would include azzaro wanted by night.
Maybe it's just my nose or my bottle but I get a really strong tobacco note in the dry down

I prefer Pure Malt. I prefer booziness to tobacco. Tobacco Vanille is great so that's an exception.
I have to go with Pure Havane over Pure Malt for the Mugler argument. Reminds me a bit of the tobacco my grandfather used to smoke in his fancy wood pipe

Own both Pure Havane and Pure Malt, really hard to split them as to which one I prefer, so difficult, would have no problem if someone was to prefer one over the other.

I can’t pick a favorite 😫😫 I love both Havane and Malt and am at half a bottle and don’t want to use them up because they’re kinda rare with buyout. I believe they’re situational also. I think Havane is that sweet date night and Malt is your elegant suit and tie kinda.
I'm one of the few that has not smelled Pure Malt or Pure Havane, they are super hard to find were I live. I do own Spicebomb Extrem, Mancera Red Tobacco and PDM Herod, tobacco fragances are truly intoxicating and you just can't get enough.
You can never have enough tobacco scents in your collection!

18.21 man made sweet tobacco is amazing too and lasts for two days on me
I already had a bottle of Guess Los Angeles and was a big fan and then saw they were selling gift sets with shower gel and body spray for $15 at Marshall’s and had to snag and extra bottle. The shower gel is like a 6/10 but the body spray lowkey is great for a cheapie canned body spray 9/10. Buy the gift set if you find it.
Pure Malt and Pure Havane bring met the same happiness level as Pure Wood!
Pure malt is ok , better than ok really but pure havane prob has a sore neck from looking down on it..I actually got a back up from fragrancenet recently , was really suprised to see it there

I like how oajan starts off as a honey tobacco scent. That doesn’t get talked about a lot.
It's great. So is Herrod and Carlisle.
For me Oajan is a Cinnamon bomb, its so dominant it overshadows the other notes. I personally like Habdan (which not being talked about at all) and Herod.

Pure Malt is going for nearly $200 on ebay and Havane is creeping up there too. Way past the point of comfort for a blind buy. Guess I hopped on the fragrance train a tad late with these two.
Both are 70-80 usd here in Europe

Infrared is actually my favorite of the Spicebomb line. But I'm one of the off people that like Night Vision a little better than the original Spicebomb or Extreme

I'm a fan of Naxos but I would say Naxos is actually the niche take on Pure Havane considering PH was released way earlier.

Guess 1981 Los Angeles is heavenly and incredibly cheap in the UK £17 a bottle for 100ml. Don't sleep on 1981 Indigo, that's also amazing.
The new formulation of Burberry London is a shadow of the original. The original was stunning!! The latest version has removed the oak moss and another ingredient and it smells too green now :-(

On that note , I found Franck Boclet Tobacco last year and love it . Manmade Sweet Tobacco Spirits is another banger. Also have Haramain amber oud tobacco edition-it is extremely loud , unapologetic and hard to pull off unless you are outside.

A new one for me in the sweet tobacco arena is City Rhythm Manhattan Midnight. Great overall scent from an Indie house.
Very hard choice, but I am going to go with pure malt. The whisky/malt liquor effect was crazy orginal to me. There are plenty of buzz smells out there but malt liquor is unique!
Pure Havane is by far my favorite, but a close second is Pure Tonka. Ever tried it? I believe it may be discontinued though.

Tobacco Oud would have been better than Vanile, it just smells like bourbon vanilla. The Oud actually gives the tobacco note more exotic feel…..
This is almost as bad as a list from Jeremy… I mean Guess 1981 Los Angeles has a barely detectable tobacco note. It’s all plum and mint and the dry down is just… a typical designer woodsy smell. I don’t think Infrared belongs here either. This is a strange list indeed.
Pure coffee and the original A*men are both better than pure malt. Havane is great though.

I'm not overly keen on tobacco notes. I don't mind The One EDP, but others I've smelled so far I can't get into. I may give Tobacco Vanille a shot though, or Pure Havane.

I kind of like insurrection pure wild better than havane.. I feel like it isn't as super sweet and it has more of a cherry vibe or something. Dreamer and DG pour homme burberry london are my favorites.. maybe also spice bomb extreme... i want to try infrared.. sounds interesting.
