4k 60hz , that's what most games run , you need a xbox series for 144hz vrr ,ps5 doesnt support 144hz yet and when it does you will need a 2.1 hdmi cable and hdmi port 2.1
If you still doesnt buy a monitor i recommend you go for 4k 60 hz monitor i was using 2k 144 hz Samsung odyssey g5 its 2k but ps5 thinks thats 4k monitor and downsample to 2k its better than native 2k but worse than native 4k . Ps5 games (120fps) are too rare so you dont have to buy 144hz for only ps5 ,but if you have strong pc you can buy it, in the future AAA games gonna 4k 60 hz but like cod,bf maybe support 120 hz in 1080p btw 1080p looks too blurry in 2k monitor its long for read i know but go for 4k brother i try both and difference is amazing
@@SahinnTT I ended up with a great 1440p and 144 hz monitor that can downscale 4K signal and can do 1080p 120 hz same time on console. I tried 4K and 1440p monitor both and returned the 4K because i think it didn't worth for just the resolution. 1440p is on a 27 inch ultimately crips and sharp enough to get amazing details on console. And i didn't want to buy a monitor that doesn't have VRR, higher refresh rates, gysnc, freesync or other technologies in a year like 2021. And the last thing, PS5 can't do native 4K resolution in 60 fps in many games. It's usually renders at 1440p or 1800p dynamic resolution in AAA games. So 1440p really fits great on console and PC usage.

Good video, but I expected to see closer the pixel density and the differents % scale of a view that windows allow to use, honestly, that's the only reason I want to buy a 4K monitor, giving the jump from 1080p to 4K, would be really good also to see at the same time a Full HD monitor with this one, to appreciate the difference between the pixel density, and finally how truly is the fact that having one of this monitors is like having 4 1080p monitors, if it feels like ok or too small for human eyes
Your comment sealed me🤣 because realistically human eyes won’t see this and if whatever application you’re doing requires it then you probably have the money for a better monitor
Does this monitor support HDR at 4k60hz and if so what connection do you need HDMI or DP and what versions of the connections Looking to purchase for PS5 gaming and as a monitor for my pc
You need an HDMI 2.0 cable year 2017 or later even a dollar store cable will do 4K at 60 megahertz. You have to use the second HDMI port or the display port, the first HDMI port will only do 4K at 30 megahertz.
LG 27UL850 is a better choice if you're considering a monitor for PS5, a lot of you totally missed the importance of HDR, which is actually one of the most important thing right now, not just resolution or refresh rate. This monitor only peaks at 300nits of brightness which doesn't even pass the lowest minimum of an HDR picture which is 400 nits. If you want a monitor for PS5, consider buying LG 27UL850, it is HDR400 certified, if you have a higher budget, go with LG32UL950, 32" that peaks 600nits of brightness.
I have been out the loop for so long when it comes to technology and I need help. Im thinking between the LG 27UL850 27 inch and the cheaper LG 27UL500-W also 27-Inch. But 1- I wanted something just a tad bigger because I already have a 27 inch 1080p ASUS MX279 ips monitor from 7 or 8 years ago. So Im thinking of maybe 28 or 29 inches but if 27 inches is still a better choice, then I will go with a 27 inch model. What do you think? 2 - I want to make sure the HDR is good enough and not washed out like the many comments and customer reviews have mentioned on Amazon for most of these 4k monitors. It is like I can't find a decent HDR/4k monitor combo that most people can agree upon. All they say is "we just turn off the HDR cause it is washed out" which is not what I want to have to do when I eventually get the ps5 or even with my ps4 pro. I want to be able to have decent HDR. 3- I don't want to pay over 500 dollars for a monitor.

@@Carneillon Thats good man i was using 32inch so i dont have any experience about 27 inch that make sense about sharpness best thing is what you happy with so everyone is happy :) have a nice gaming days brother

Great video! I think I'm gonna buy this monitor actually
And did you buy it was it good
How is it?
I actually bought the 4k s70a instead so can't give an opinion on this one. But the s70a works great!
@@gabrielsando6646 what made you choose the S70a?
@kaikaih I don't really know, I guess I thought that because it was just realesed, that it would be better but don't remember anything on paper specifically that made me change my mind. But the aesthetic is nicer on the s70a though.
Were you intending to use something other than human eyes to watch the monitor? 😉😁
Your comment sealed me🤣 because realistically human eyes won’t see this and if whatever application you’re doing requires it then you probably have the money for a better monitor

Does this monitor support HDR at 4k60hz and if so what connection do you need HDMI or DP and what versions of the connections
Looking to purchase for PS5 gaming and as a monitor for my pc
hdmi 2 or dp 1.4
Does this monitor support displayport 1.4?
Lol why would I know just type in the model number and spec and find out
You need an HDMI 2.0 cable year 2017 or later even a dollar store cable will do 4K at 60 megahertz. You have to use the second HDMI port or the display port, the first HDMI port will only do 4K at 30 megahertz.
@@jordanhaer6285 I think its 1.2 but that still will do 4K at 60 megahertz. A 1.4 cable is backwards compatible with display port 1.2.

@@TheEgyptianOne LG32UL950 is 5ms isnt it bad thing

The era of good multiplayer gaming is over. But even if I decide to go back to multiplayer games it will still be enough for me because im used to those speeds. When you're slouching or sitting on a low angle viewing this monitor, is the visual display still the same? There's not an excessive difference with the visual display correct?
That is correct.
What are your color settings I just bought this and I have the contrast/brightness/sharpness set the same as yours and it looks great but the colors seem a bit off.
I have just bought one from Amazon Warehouse Deals (in the description, AFAICR, it only says there should be some light scratches on the back, all the rest is supposed to be perfect), may I ask what was in the box, just to be sure nothing is missing? Is there an user manual? And, above all, a HDMI and/or display port cable? Are them (if included) fit for 4k HDR contents or do I have to buy a better cable (and hdmi 2.1 8k certified cable, for instance)? Thank you.

Received the RU55 monitor yesterday, it's awesome! I connect my MIBOX3 to HDMI1 and PS5 to HDMI2, but why can't I turn on game mode on the monitor when I use PS5? Currently, the Dell S2721QS model comes with a price of 250 euros and the S3221QS model 350 euros. Which one would you recommend considering this situation? My only concern for 27 ”is the scaling problem of Windows, so if I use it at 150% because the texts are too small, will my image look worse than the 4K 32 inch model? Or will it have a disadvantage? Or as an IPS panel or VA panel, which is the better choice for a quality display? Otherwise, should I pay 100 Euros more and go for the 32 ”model?

How good is the display quality compared to a good 4k TV?
It really depends on what TV, but this is a really good 4K monitor.
@@ghtechreview Is not a good monitor. I bought it yesterday and I have been angry since then. What a waste of money! The display quality is poor and when I connected it to my Xbox series s and watched a movie on Netflix, I wasn't happy with the display quality. The movies were too black at night time and it was even hard to see the humans and the surroundings in the movie. I used the Chromecast 4k and I got the same results. I tried it with my laptop and is even worse with the laptop.
Two things were going in my mind. Is either my monitor is faulty or all the UA-camrs praising the Samsung ur55 have been sponsored to lie in their videos.
@@technologyisawesome6913 It might be that you have a faulty unit. I even have my HDMI black level on low instead of normal and that gives it a darker tone. I can see movies at night time and make out the people in it in dark scenes and I have the brightness level at 45%.
