Thanks everyone for watching! I love how my greenhouse turned out but I made the rookie mistake of using non UV treated PVC. So I made the decision to replace them with metal hoops.
I speak more about that decision here:
    ua-cam.com/video/UtOM27dg8ac/v-deo.html
I start the process of moving on from the PVC in this video:
    ua-cam.com/video/oZFEff79egE/v-deo.html
And finish my greenhouse in this one:
    ua-cam.com/video/bmuVjKF5t-o/v-deo.html
    Thanks!

Is it resistant to PVC pipes? because sometimes where I see there is enough wind ... and I would not like everything after a gust of wind

I haven't had any issues with either build from wind. Thanks!

Tiny Hilltop Rebar pegs to slip the pvc over. Just a suggestion. Then you could skip the carriage bolts. Plus the pvc bends. Just cut to 5 ft lengths t at 5 t at top t at 5 hoop it over connect with 5 ft sections for stability. Skip the 45s. But for going you’re own A+! Nice green house! It’s big!!

building a greenhouse with leftover materials and no real drawings or design plan = great. Building it with conventional and no-frills tools = better. Building it all in flip-flops = BEST. My kind of DIY project. And it looks great.

Nice, I'm getting ready build one soon, in the winter,. I have learned by watching and listening,,my plan will include metal poles, wood base like yours with concrete blocks attached to wood to aid in uplift and blow away, I will clamp my poles to board, I will use old #4 bar to hold metal poles, man door at one end and drive in door at other to my truck, poly 6 Mill , tape any rough spots on piles before plastic goes on, I like wiggle wire but to save ,will just go wood trim ,scrap and screw with screws ,. Then I'm going to smoke a fatty...

Really easy to watch, clear instructions, music soothing and not intrusive. Like the fact is a one person diy
I’m a 68 yr old “wee wummin” and gonna try this. PVC is lightweight so it’s good for me. Thanks for all the work you put in to share this

I love your story, not your illness but your path. I have a similar path but with my daughter. Live and learn. A course I took a number of years ago explained that at one time we had the neighborhood corner store which contained everything we needed to provide for our families. There were approx. 500 food products then we evolved into mega stores with thousands of products but these aren't food, they're chemicals. You are on the right path.

  • @constitutionscott5416
    @constitutionscott5416 4 роки тому +2

Not too shabby. Plastic on main part was really loose. Bad for water and snow. Should paint or tape pvc to keep plastic sheet from reacting to it and off gassing. Should put wood braces on the inside of the greenhouse on pvc. Doesn't rub against sheeting and you can attach shelves to it.
But all in all, a really nice job!

Your greenhouse came out great! I like the fact that you did not even use tools other than the drill. You gave a detailed walk through. Im going to use your design. You make it look very possible to complete. I always over think my plans. But this one is clear and I enjoyed the video. Thanks for posting.

I built my first greenhouse using PVC. It broke so many times I got tired of buying and making new trusses. I rebuilt using Tractor Supply cattle panels in a Quonset Hut style and it’s impervious to the wind. Had it nearly two years and never had a problem.

I'm gonna build on the top of my garage...which has a slab on it, completely out of the way, a space that has been dormant since we purchased this property. Thanks again bro👌

Your gave lots of great information for people who are beginners! You used lots of precision that is difficult to acquire until you've built a few things already, but it encourages others to try to make their skills better. Thanks! Kudos to all of you who included more information to preserve your project like the paint on the PVC pipe.

I made something similar with an old car port frame and much heavier framing wood. When the weather got warm the first season I vented it and a plow wind lifted it to the top of our old Christmas trees. I've since made all greenhouse with serious in ground anchoring. A greenhouse can become a great big kite.

I was thinking that if some of PVC had water and small drill holes going along the length and have water spray . And water runoff from rain could be collected at end and used as needed .If hail or wind is a concern a chicken wire with thin planks to secure the wind from plastic damage ! I just thought I would ask ! Looks great man wow !! Thank you !!

I'll probably use a similar design to this but add some Ts at the center of the roof trusses to drop down large 3 to 4 inch pipes after some enlargements. Those will be used to structurally support the center and also plant vertical farming plants. May add rain water runs through the tops to feed those particular tubes and direct water/melt-off from ice.
