Thanks everyone for watching! I love how my greenhouse turned out but I made the rookie mistake of using non UV treated PVC. So I made the decision to replace them with metal hoops. I speak more about that decision here: ua-cam.com/video/UtOM27dg8ac/v-deo.html I start the process of moving on from the PVC in this video: ua-cam.com/video/oZFEff79egE/v-deo.html And finish my greenhouse in this one: ua-cam.com/video/bmuVjKF5t-o/v-deo.html Thanks!
Tiny Hilltop Rebar pegs to slip the pvc over. Just a suggestion. Then you could skip the carriage bolts. Plus the pvc bends. Just cut to 5 ft lengths t at 5 t at top t at 5 hoop it over connect with 5 ft sections for stability. Skip the 45s. But for going you’re own A+! Nice green house! It’s big!!
building a greenhouse with leftover materials and no real drawings or design plan = great. Building it with conventional and no-frills tools = better. Building it all in flip-flops = BEST. My kind of DIY project. And it looks great.
Nice, I'm getting ready build one soon, in the winter,. I have learned by watching and listening,,my plan will include metal poles, wood base like yours with concrete blocks attached to wood to aid in uplift and blow away, I will clamp my poles to board, I will use old #4 bar to hold metal poles, man door at one end and drive in door at other to my truck, poly 6 Mill , tape any rough spots on piles before plastic goes on, I like wiggle wire but to save ,will just go wood trim ,scrap and screw with screws ,. Then I'm going to smoke a fatty...
Really easy to watch, clear instructions, music soothing and not intrusive. Like the fact is a one person diy I’m a 68 yr old “wee wummin” and gonna try this. PVC is lightweight so it’s good for me. Thanks for all the work you put in to share this
Not bad at all. On the North side we'll put in a cheap home thermometer and exhaust fan. Nothing complicated. I like simple. Thanks for the Video idea!
I love your story, not your illness but your path. I have a similar path but with my daughter. Live and learn. A course I took a number of years ago explained that at one time we had the neighborhood corner store which contained everything we needed to provide for our families. There were approx. 500 food products then we evolved into mega stores with thousands of products but these aren't food, they're chemicals. You are on the right path.
Not too shabby. Plastic on main part was really loose. Bad for water and snow. Should paint or tape pvc to keep plastic sheet from reacting to it and off gassing. Should put wood braces on the inside of the greenhouse on pvc. Doesn't rub against sheeting and you can attach shelves to it. But all in all, a really nice job!
Love it! I am a PVC hoarder and make all kinds of stuff with it. I love that you said that you don't know what you were doing but did it anyway. Fear holds back so much creativity. It turned out amazing!
Your greenhouse came out great! I like the fact that you did not even use tools other than the drill. You gave a detailed walk through. Im going to use your design. You make it look very possible to complete. I always over think my plans. But this one is clear and I enjoyed the video. Thanks for posting.
I built my first greenhouse using PVC. It broke so many times I got tired of buying and making new trusses. I rebuilt using Tractor Supply cattle panels in a Quonset Hut style and it’s impervious to the wind. Had it nearly two years and never had a problem.
Great idea to use PVC, I haven't seen another built like this, and I've been seeing alot if videos. Like that you can take this idea for several structures,,,playhouses, she shed, chicken coop, outdoor storeage, thank you.
This video is exactly what I needed. Shout out from South Africa 🇿🇦 Dude! Really appreciate the hook up, real simple, real cheap, non technical, no jargon, just can do. I'm gonna build on the top of my garage...which has a slab on it, completely out of the way, a space that has been dormant since we purchased this property. Thanks again bro👌
Great job!!! If I were to undertake such a task, I would also be doing it all myself without any help and I would hope mine would turn out as good as the one you made! Bravo!!!
I am so impressed how you pulled that of with no plans and no help. I never use plans either and have no help I hope mine comes out half as nice...... great job.... Thanks for videoing this for us...
I know I'm a few years late with this, but you've done a good job with your design and implementation. thank you for the filming and commentary of your progress.
I built a garden house out of pocket, but covered it with chicken wire to keep the squirrels out. I love this green house so much I subscribed and am now searching your videos for other brilliant ideas.
Your gave lots of great information for people who are beginners! You used lots of precision that is difficult to acquire until you've built a few things already, but it encourages others to try to make their skills better. Thanks! Kudos to all of you who included more information to preserve your project like the paint on the PVC pipe.
I made something similar with an old car port frame and much heavier framing wood. When the weather got warm the first season I vented it and a plow wind lifted it to the top of our old Christmas trees. I've since made all greenhouse with serious in ground anchoring. A greenhouse can become a great big kite.
Well done job. I give you thump up.! Most people would have someone to help. It is hard to do everything by one person. Most important is your vegetable are HAPPY!.
very cool idea man. think about putting some tent stakes at each corner and a ridge support using the same method. one wind storm and she's a gonner. thanks for sharing have a good one brother
It has held up so far in about as bad of winds as we will get (gusts of 50 MPH) but if it gets knocked over I will figure out something to fortify it more.
Good Job! I know what it's like on having to do projects by yourself and you are to be complimented on doing a great job not only on the project, but explaining it in short simple clips!! Who-RAh
Thank you for your idea I'm going to use it for a chicken pen / Nursery interesting concept but the chickens will do the work mostly so I can grow my stuff inside right on the ground and during the winter I will just use cow manure to keep the temperature up... very clever you did a really good job with that....
This looks fantastic I love how you made it simple and sturdy I never would’ve thought to have the polls upright and cut them all at the same length to create the arch I actually like that it squared off at the top rather than a rounded hoop
I like your greenhouse dud! To my opinion it has the most simple and buck efficient design comparing to other greenhouses on you tube. Also Love your music! Thanks for sharing, regards!
If you have problems with water holding on the small roof. Think about using making hoops with your pipe. This will insure water run off and give you a little more headroom. Great start though for your first build :)
I was thinking that if some of PVC had water and small drill holes going along the length and have water spray . And water runoff from rain could be collected at end and used as needed .If hail or wind is a concern a chicken wire with thin planks to secure the wind from plastic damage ! I just thought I would ask ! Looks great man wow !! Thank you !!
Just found your Chanel love the greenhouse xx 😘 am a gardener and florist I want to make a greenhouse I love being in the garden a lot growing a lot this year xx keep on keeping on
Nice work. Got on your video randomly.one advice would be to cover sides before covering the top. So the water will not get between roof and sides. Anyway, clean and fast solution.
Awesome! You did a great job. If I hadn't learned that because of codes I can't build a greenhouse I would have followed your work. I've watched what seems like hundreds of dyi greenhouse videos and yours would have been the best suitable for me to build. Thanks for sharing. I appreciate your work.
hi everyone ,if anyone else trying to find out building a greenhouse plans pdf try Lomonting Easy Greenhouse Mentor (just google it ) ? Ive heard some decent things about it and my partner got excellent results with it.
I'll probably use a similar design to this but add some Ts at the center of the roof trusses to drop down large 3 to 4 inch pipes after some enlargements. Those will be used to structurally support the center and also plant vertical farming plants. May add rain water runs through the tops to feed those particular tubes and direct water/melt-off from ice.
I enjoyed every minute of this video. A one man band. Well done. While watching and listening to you, your voice reminded me so much of Elvis Presley. So kind and manly. BTW hope the greenhouse is still being used. Cheers from Australia.

Wicked job for one man awsome
Is it resistant to PVC pipes? because sometimes where I see there is enough wind ... and I would not like everything after a gust of wind
I haven't had any issues with either build from wind. Thanks!

I like it. Your not stopped by a hundred little details. Experience is 90% of the next project.

Great job for someone with no experience at building a greenhouse. As long as it works. Who cares how pretty it is.
" It's not perfect , but you gotta fight the man somehow" ...... I felt that !
Love it! I am a PVC hoarder and make all kinds of stuff with it. I love that you said that you don't know what you were doing but did it anyway. Fear holds back so much creativity. It turned out amazing!
So that is why everyone makes hoop greenhouses. Nicely illustrated!

Flip flops for work boots, and a length of wood for a hammer. I love it.
You deserve a thumb up for doing this perfect job alone. Well done.
Neat setup. Clean looking. Would not last in the desert. High winds and baking sunlight.
Great job!!! If I were to undertake such a task, I would also be doing it all myself without any help and I would hope mine would turn out as good as the one you made! Bravo!!!
Beautiful greenhouse, love it ! The best part you did everything with minimal tools and supplies, remarkable, and very impressive.

Thank you for hanging out :)
Great job. This design is suitable for locality with windy and lots of rain. I might build one like this. Thanks for sharing.
good job brother keep it up. thanks for showing us make ur own greenhouse morepower.
Nice looking green house. It should serve you well for many years.

I did learn a lot during the build. Tweaked a few things on my next build but it is hard to learn until ya jump in. Thanks for watching!

Very impressive! What a great way to re-purpose material. Love the design of this greenhouse, not your typical hoop. I love it!
Very enjoyable video! Rather enjoy your finished design over the usual dome / gothic look.
Excellent tutorial! Just do it attitude. I really appreciate your taking the trouble to record the process. Thanks.
"Gotta fight the man somehow"
No truer words ever spoken.

I have no shed or house building experience either but I did built a greenhouse. I made sure that I'm able to hang on it to test it out.
Well done job. I give you thump up.! Most people would have someone to help. It is hard to do everything by one person. Most important is your vegetable are HAPPY!.

Thanks bro hope you'd have plenty of yield. You did what you could to make it work. Hope it'll lasts more than a season.
Nice job!!! That's real inspiration for those of us that cannot afford to pay for more expensive stuctures. ♡
I'm from Michigan too! Except go Wolverines! Lol Great job on the green house, I'm almost confident I can do this myself lol!
i am positive you can do it! Hope you can get your own place soon.
Good Job! I know what it's like on having to do projects by yourself and you are to be complimented on doing a great job not only on the project, but explaining it in short simple clips!! Who-RAh

Very interesting. You presented another way to do it. Great job !!!!!!
Use shadecloth tape roll to secure the plastic to the frame it will keep the staples from tearing through the plastic .
thanks I like it. I think I'll try to build one in my back yard in the PNW
sweet idea and greenhouse, i will be using this idea but will not cut the plastic but instead bury it to help with weeds
Nice simple construction design. Nice footage.
This is my favorite green house build! thank you!!
thank you, ed.
Thanks for putting together this idea I was at a stand still but you gave me a kick start. Thanks again.
This looks fantastic I love how you made it simple and sturdy I never would’ve thought to have the polls upright and cut them all at the same length to create the arch I actually like that it squared off at the top rather than a rounded hoop
I found your channel by searching on chip drop and am doing along the same things on a rural property. Your video has helped me a lot! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Your green house is ok...Your "taste" for music... Is really awesome like it alot...
I like the angle on the roof so rain and snow can just roll off.
Thank you! The angles really helped the snow fall off. I had no issues with it.
I like your greenhouse dud! To my opinion it has the most simple and buck efficient design comparing to other greenhouses on you tube. Also Love your music! Thanks for sharing, regards!
Love he's wearing sandals while building!
Your green house looks great.
Fantastic job well done to you, Happy growing 👍😉🇮🇪🍀

Wow, for not having any experience, you did a fantastic job!

If you remove the wrap and even the pvc it wouldn't be considered a permanent structure or if you build it on wheels
@@fuupdaass275 Thanks for the tip.
This is great! Shows the steps well and worked out very well. Combines PVC pipes and timber. Just what I was looking for.

Informative video. Getting some ideas before building my own! Thanks for sharing!
What a super video - I love it.
Just seen this and you did a great job. Now I might just put one on my allotment. Have a good growing season 2020.
Cool greenhouse and cool guy, thanks for sharing.
thank you, Nicholas
Nice job and good luck growing. It looks real good to me.
Well done. Loved this. From the United Kingdom.
Heath Robinson springs to mind
I enjoyed every minute of this video. A one man band. Well done. While watching and listening to you, your voice reminded me so much of Elvis Presley. So kind and manly. BTW hope the greenhouse is still being used. Cheers from Australia.
Good job!! Wishing my yard was big enough to do this.
kudos dude! you are a maker of things a doer of deeds!
I think you did a fantastic job
looks great. I am presently building one out of an old car port.
That is a good idea!
Great accomplishment and effort. It's always rewarding in the end
