Girl, this video is so real! lol other natural girls be like, "I'm just gonna put a dime sized amount of leave-in conditioner, and my hair is LAID!!"... & I'm like... "I'm just gonna go ahead and put this entire tub of ecostyler gel on my strands and hope it laid".

bellebebe Lool I’m glad that works for you. I have shorter hair and when I use eco styler it shrinks my hair 😞 so I really have to be careful and use a little although it doesn’t sleek it well 😒
I would've never thought to put my thick hair in sections; I would've tried to slap gel on top and HOPE the rest stays down 😭 good technique! Will be trying

Yeah I have a thick hair. What I do it in section with eco styling gel AND edge control try that.
When she said she got a long head @1:39 lol she said it like its normal lol I can relate girl!!!!! Should out to all the long head girls out there lol my head look like a peanut 😂 lol
wow ive always had a hard time slicking down my hair because its so thick. I always wondered how people got their natural hair so flat
Keep wondering because she's the first person I'VE SEEN ( UA-cam and in real life) to do it like this and I have thicker hair than she does.
+Krystal Graham it should work especially after you wet it. and her having it in bantu knots prior stretched her hair. plats or any kind of twist should help stretch your hair out as well. also notice how she did it in sections. if you're hair is thicker you may have to do smaller sections.of course length plays a big factor also
+Krystal Graham believe it or not, this was the go to hairstyle back in the 90's. Especially for women who was transitioning and had really short hair. 😊

you should still try ecostyler if you need a gel though. also if your hair tends to be dry, carols daughter products may cost half a soul but they're ✋👌

Loved this style! I'm all for the clip ins or extensions that mimic our natural texture. I like to keep my hair stretched and I just put up a video using blown out natural clip ins that are so bomb and they blend so well.. Thought it was all me haha. Great vid!
Tightly snatched ponytails are probably the most uncomfortable hairstyle ever. EVERYTIME I attempt to wear one I'm cranky allday because I haves throbbing headache. But this is really classic and pretty.

LOVE how sleek your hair turned out boo! Lol it's so funny cause I used the same exact method and just did a tutorial on it recently but instead mine was for Low Sleek Buns for us thicker, kinkier hair textured women.

Going to try this I just bought a ponytail similar to your clip ins and i hadn't worn one in like 4 years since I when I was relaxed and I never could slick it but this is a easy method my hair so thick
I tried this method and I am so grateful for finding this video because I absolutely ADORE sleek low ponytails/buns! when I went in to give this a try I was so happy because it actually worked! my hair is so incredibly thick so I when I used to try to slick my hair it would always puff up and not lay flat. So I got frustrated and gave up on the style. but my hair grew since my last time trying and it's close to your length and when I worked in sections it turned out so much better. Thank you so much for this beautiful tutorial!

for some odd reason my eco styling gel gets white and flakey so i use black gel instead, ugh.
Najla Muhammad if you mix products with it like pudding or certain oils then it'll flake
Lil Yoda okay, yeah thats it then because i put coconut oil or shea butter in my hair before i gel it.
Najla Muhammad If you use a oil like Shea butter lock in the moisture a day before or day of it wont flake or you a leave in conditioner on wet hair then let it dry the leave in conditioner will moisture the hair so when it's dry it won't be dry then put on gel it shouldn't flake
Softee olive oil gel is the only gel I've used so far that doesn't flake, or just sit on top of my hair. It helps that I use leave in conditioner or a moisturizer before applying.

Hi,love your vid but I have one question...How long does your hair stay sleeked down or should I say tamed? Cuz I use ecostyler but there's only 3 types available here so I use the white one for firm hold but my hair doesn't stay sleeked down for long but then again I don't use too much water cuz there's chlorine in the tap water and it breaks my hair...

I understand the struggle, my hair is thick and curly too so I have to slap on layers of gel. I usually use a mix between Eco, Pro Style, and edge control.

What is it like when you take the ponytail out with all that product does it feel clumpy? Can you just use conditioner I like how you slick it down but I don't think the extensions match but love the vid xx

When I️ slick My hair into a bun , I️t does fine while it’s wet with the eco styler but as soon is dries , I️t poofs back up and gets frizzy ! I dont what to use to keep the slick , shiny look. Any suggestions ?
Qua Sherman Maui curling cream I used that instead of eco gel and then I put on 2 scarfs and brushed it back

U have Eco styler but I have the yellow one which leaves a lot of white stuff and dryness behind so now I know that the green one really helps
