I like Kerry King. He still has enough metal flowing through his veins. Also, his bald head is legendary, C'MON! He's like a saviour for all us who sport a bald head with long beard. The new stuff is ok. A solid release (not that kind, lol) from veteran thrash fuckers. Fun ride, lots of riffy-raffs and enough power. Nothing great, but not bad at all, 3/5.
The song is a thrash metal banger, nothing more and nothing less. Sure the satanic panic lyricism is played out, and personally I would've named the band *"King Kill".* But it's Kerry King's project after all, and he's certainly content with the lane he's in. Kerry King has always been one of those "if it ain't broken then don't fix it" type of guys, so he's just sticking to what he does best. And none of us would expect anything different from him.

In the abyss, our souls we trace.
(Bridge)
Beneath the moon, our pact is sealed,
With unholy might, our fate revealed.
We march to war, our destiny unsealed,
In the shadows, where demons wield.
(Chorus)
Hellfire reigns, death's embrace,
In the darkness, we find our place.
Slaying angels, defying grace,
In the abyss, our souls we trace.
(Outro)
In the realm of chaos, we thrive,
In the flames of hell, we survive.
Forever bound, to the darkened hive,
In the name of Slayer, we will revive.

Criticizes Kerry King for calling his solo project Kerry King...
"Sign up for my online guitar school, called 'Bradley Hall's Guitar School' "
At 1:45 I couldn't help but feel that "I'm Bored."
😅
I had Room With A View stuck in my head yesterday and I haven't listened to them in ages. I had their cassette in the early late 80s to 90s... So yeah. I went through a quick phase where I loved them.
JEFF HANNEMAN totally shreds Kerry King to pieces. R.I.P. to the real heart and soul of SLAYER...
Devine Intervention - Not a good Slayer album? That one I listened to a lot when it came out. I think it´s really good.
I never was a real fan of Slayer in their early days, Divine Intervention was the first Slayer album I played over and over again for weeks…. Besides a few “classics” of their catalogue I am more into the Paul Bostaph era than into the Dave Lombardo era
@@FrantiqdrummerIt´s pretty much the exact same for me. I was very surprised when he said "That not-so-good album" I absolutely love it!
Divine Intervention was awesome, everything after that I had completely lost interest. They had a nice run.
It's not bad, but it's their first album that isn't a must-listen genre classic.
“Hey guys what about the name Death Angel?? Oh wait…”
I saw a comment on his new music video say his band should have been called Kingslayer. That would have been cool
Band name should have been Re-Jeff-Less.
kerry king went from slayer guitarist, to stereotypical cringy slayer fan.
wow, normally, we would ALL be happy to spin a "new Slayer" track and who knows, maybe the reception of his new project would look different if he weren't such a drama fucking queen....litterally the KING of Queens
Riffs sound like something Metallica left on the editing room floor during Death Magnetic recording
LOL it does!
You're totally right lol. And this is random and you can call me dumb but I learned not too long ago that the cover of DM has a visible magnetic field around the coffin lol kind of a cool pun. Just never really looked at the album cover on more than a thumbnail to notice haha
Oh man you're gonna cream yourself when you buy your first Iron Maiden vinyl album…
Just to mention that Paul Bastoph is actually a killer. He was on Testament's album The Formation of Damnation back in 2008, one of my top five faves from them
Paul was great but he's injured himself so many times and has gotten sloppy as a result.
Stranger Things didn't bring back thrash metal because contemporary trends last about two weeks
I liked that song. It’s no masterpiece, but still fun groovy song to headbang to.
not calling that band the kerry king klub was a huge missed opportunity
I like Kerry King. He still has enough metal flowing through his veins. Also, his bald head is legendary, C'MON! He's like a saviour for all us who sport a bald head with long beard.
The new stuff is ok. A solid release (not that kind, lol) from veteran thrash fuckers. Fun ride, lots of riffy-raffs and enough power. Nothing great, but not bad at all, 3/5.
“I’m honestly like the nicest guy ever. I have absolutely no ego. Also, I named the band Kerry King.”
7:16 his mum took his PlayStation AWAAAAAAYYY
The song is a thrash metal banger, nothing more and nothing less. Sure the satanic panic lyricism is played out, and personally I would've named the band *"King Kill".* But it's Kerry King's project after all, and he's certainly content with the lane he's in. Kerry King has always been one of those "if it ain't broken then don't fix it" type of guys, so he's just sticking to what he does best. And none of us would expect anything different from him.
Kerry King covers metallicas disposable heros😅
I met Kerry King once in a steak house that I worked. The guy was so cool and humble even though i was nervous like hell.
You should see Death Angel live Bradley. You won't be disappointed.
I was really pleasantly surprised by the song. Loved the vocals.
Mark Osegueda is badass.
Dont diss Death Angel, dude original Bay Area thrash pioneers from the eighties
Not great, not terrible. From a marketing standpoint, though, Kerry King is a good bandname and the logo is dope.
that scene from like 10 years ago with Evile, Havok, Lazarus AD and Warbringer might of been the last best hope for thrash.
You've probably listened to "Municipal Waste" for years now... great band.
Check out "Poison the Preacher" from Columbia, South America.
"Gama Bomb" from Ireland.
Both are a good place to start finding quality gems within the current thrash revival.
Vektor blows all those bands out of the water.
I actually dig Vektor too. Good call.
@@accepthisnamevektor is a lot more niche when it comes to “listenability” than a band like Warbringer. Both are great, but David’s voice turns a lot of people off. I heard a lot of criticism from their latest EP for sounding too much like Havok in terms of guitars and vocals. A lose lose regardless lol
Warbringer hasn't released a bad album. Evile on the other hand... quite a spotty discography
If you want some modern thrash metal that doesn't sound dated, there's always Flotsam & Jetsam's latest albums.
Death Angel rules
lol King's Reign sounds like a power metal band
I can totally see actual Kerry's swearing here in the chatbox
King is the only person who can make tribal tattoos work.
Did you just say Divine Intervention wasn't a very good album?! 😱
What a total imbecile. Devine rocked!
I can’t remember if it was 08/09/10 NAMM but I got a pic with him and right as my buddy hit the button I told Kerry, “I heard you like dudes.”
Mfs wife lost her MIND. Not because I had said something like that, but emphatically denying it.
