Not that it makes any difference to y'all adventurers, but let me just say as a dungeon monster that there is no feeling better than coming upon a place like this. I can't understand why anyone wouldn't want to live here, in such beautiful ruin...
@@katelynthewhitewerewolf6376 In real life I have a recurve bow. Its pullback is fairly decent for sporting practice, but times are getting tough. So I plan to upgrade it. My method is fairly simple, first I will get more recurve staff limbs, the exact same kind, and simply use wood glue to put on a second layer. To better manage the additional weight, I will have the center piece modified for firing on the right side instead of the left, because I am done with using it for sporting. Finally, instead of using arrowheads I will use needle nose drill bids with a attachment piece that can fit an arrowshaft. Due to the expense I will have to buy only 1 a month, but this is perfect for piercing matted bullistic armor soldiers are so proud of. Now you may be thinking, "Bow VS gun? Doesn't the gun have the advantage?" Well yes, but that's because it has more range. But not here. Here there is too much cover. Please pray for my country when the Chinese soldiers come. This I beg from the bottom of my heart.
Love this! So many people are going to get great use out of this video; my group especially! I love that occasional subtle buzzing sound, like flies over a corpse. Perfect amount of cawing from the crows-not so much it’s annoying, and not so little it’s shocking when it happens. That background ambience really emanates a feeling of despair. Every part of this is great.
I remember this town. I remember it like a dog remembers it's master. It used to be a thriving town, full of life... Now it's filled with Mardus' crows. And spirits.. Spirits of old friends.. Neighbors.. Now reduced to nothing but feed for these filthy feathered scouts.. Not even Alisia's healing light can mend this cemetery. I believe it'd be best we don't stick around too long, lest we wish to become meals for Mardus' dark Servants.. I will mourn when I am ready. Now is not that time. We still have a scroll to find.. Onward. ~Sir Dane, Professor of the Brass Kingdom
@qwert ΔΔΔ I just thought of this off the top of my head based on one of my OCs but yeah it totally sounds like it came from a game actually lol whoops
Excellent job as always! Very creepy, I love the crows especially!I would love to see a sci-fi soundscape of a spaceship. Steps on metal boots, beeps, engine drones, other sci-fi stuff. I think that would be really cool and useful for those wanting a sci-fi one shot/campaign.Thanks again! Keep up the great work!
This is perfect. The veteran adventurer in me says that we need to get into this town becaause there are lost souls here who need guidance... and some monsters to slay hehe
What once was a bright and beautiful town this morning is now a decaying and crumbling mess. Even though you were here, you have no idea what happened. You were all knocked unconscious nearly instantly and buried under some rubble. Dragons? Undead? Surprise military attack? You have no idea. The town is nearly silent and also weirdly empty. Are you the only survivors? Why are the streets so empty of bodies? Even though you want to call out to try to find others, you feel that would be unwise and unsafe.
A couple stragglers and eerie silence. That is all that remains after Khilt'Uzan left. He took everything. Our homes, our families, our livelihoods and the wish of a better future for our children. The town center is like it's frozen in time. The charred figures of the council and the investors, still standing there in place debating the possible closing of the unstable parts of mines. They didn't see him coming...the workers and their folk on the other hand... Their screaming, crying, running forms adorn the streets of our once great town. The horror on their faces each tell a different story. Why are YOU here, traveller? Stealing from us, what's left of this damned place? Offering help to get out? Or are you another one of those, marching to their deaths in the mine hoping for glory and riches? Either way, you can just turn back because there's nothing left here for you or us. Not even hope...he took that too.
as you cross through the once proud gates of Midhaven you and you take a moment to take in your surroundings. You look and see how nature slowly reclaims its former domain and cant help but marvel at its majasty, yet something feels... off. You cant help but feel as if your being watched seeing shadows move out of the corner of your eyes. You try to brush it off with brazzen bravado and confidence thinking it nothing more than a trick of the eye and your mind playi games with you. That is until you hear something dart away knocking rubble to the ground creating a loud echo that bounds off the crumbling walls of the city. It begins to dawn on you that something terrible happened here and whatever evil wrought havok here still lingers. With that thought you suddenly dont feel so alone on these streets anymore and whatever is out there knows your here and it is not likely to sit idley by while you trapes freely through its domain.
"This was once a proud and wonderous village here, governed by the people the way it should be. But when Lady Dimitrescu and her Daughters appeared, everything changed. Blood was splattered on the ground and the walls like a bad paint job, the villagers screams of terror could have been heard from far away, but no one heard them, so no one came to help. The defenders of the village fought well, but they were overwhelmed by either the swords and claws and teeth of the Moroica, the sickles of Lady Diimitrescu's Daughters, or at the clawed hands of the Lady herself. Within hours, the village was lost, doomed to be under Lady Dimitrescu's reign of absolute terror. Lady Dimitrescu, feeling the thirst for blood that all vampires do, helped herself to the poor people hidden down in the cellar of a winery, while her daughters went around to pick off anyone that was left after the initial siege. Now, the village stands as quiet as a statue in the face of time. Will it be re-inhabitable? I doubt it. But one thing is for sure. This village here will be a permanent mark on Lady Dimitrescu and her brutal conquest of Romania for years to come. As for the rest of the world...this is just the beginning."
*I walked into the shambles of my familys old home a dog barking somewhere in the distance* "how could this have happened the Dragon Guard was supposed to fight off things like this yet..."
*Looks around* What a mess. Homes, shattered, families, disbanded, businesses, gone. It's all because of the riots. Gotta get going in case if I find any survivors. *keeps walking and tripping over parts of debris*
Was this your old home? Yeah, it once was or it was my parent's old home, when the riots gang violence broke out, they didn't like the rich people in this state so they hanged and burned them, my Pa's dad was taken from his home hanged from the poles and set alight, they also did horrible things to Aunt that pushed her to... When we escaped in the aftertime, alongside the friends and neighbours and the few family relatives we had, my family decided they needed to pay for their crimes, after 12 years we struck their old village, using guns, swords, hatchets and explosives. We blew em apart and set them on fire, we became them! After that I became a bandit, when the refugees settled in Old Jin Fort, we staged raiding parties, killing and massacring them alike, I sought revenge as I thought it would give me closure of what had happened. Instead it made things worse, I found no peace. It was only when my small village was disbanded by the Federal troops that I turned tails and ran, I joined up with a local village and became a part of them, when they were attacked by a local tribal group, I saw their pain, I saw what it was like for me to be attacked by us, For me, things were quick, We saw, we came and we killed a family. But now I get to see the aftermath, after that I deserted my outpost and left, My friend assured me he would come up with an alibi that I was caught and murdered as revenge. That's why I'm a wanderer, I don't belong here or there, not after what I did but I try to act good thinking it would save me but I know I'm just trying to fight for a lost cause or something.
This is absolutely perfect! However, is there a video that you know of that’s very similar to this that doesn’t have the crows in it? The area I’m creating in my campaign was just recently obliterated with no surviving wildlife and the crows wouldn’t be very immersive

Michael Ghelfi awesome! I can’t wait! I have a sci-fi one-shot that I plan to run at some point and an ambience like that would be awesome. :)
