Little Cherry’s grandmother succumbed to cancer seven months after the toddler’s tragic fall to her death from an eighth-floor window after she was forgotten in the lift by her nanny. The deceased elderly woman, who had stomach cancer, could not recover from the grief, as she blamed herself for being the reason the child was left to the nanny. The girl’s father has filed a police report for the child’s accident, and the investigation is still ongoing.

This is genuinely one of the saddest things I've ever seen. It's not her fault, she cannot blame herself for anything. It's the nannys negligence. Rip granny rip child.
Not the nanny's negligence at all. Many people blamed her looking at her phone, but she wasn't looking at it when the incident occurred. The issue is the elevator and the sub-par software. The thing started to close its door IMMEDIATELY when the nanny was out, and she had no time to reach or the poor girl. Then the elevator opened on a random floor for no reason. The poor woman had no time to react. She had gotten the little scooter toy out of the elevator first to make space for the girl to get out, but the elevator started to closed less than half a second after.
Why is it whenever there is an accident with an elevator its almost always in China?
why sad? hundreds of people die everyday around the world, no biggies, it's just the way it is
You cant blame the nanny its his fault why he choose to live there with a toddler. If you want to blame someone either the builder or the owner of the building because they build a building easy for a toddler to climb the windows ..
@@banggoman7371 its the elevator fault, it closed 0.5 seconds after the nanny went in. Most elevators has sensors but this one dosent which is basically a risk for ppl getting crushed by the doors too. Sue the company of that elevator

They really didn’t get a break. To hear that the grandma blamed herself, seeing the father age so much in such a short time and then hearing the nanny is on bail is just too much. That poor girl and her poor family. They really suffered enough. I hope the father and the rest of the family recovers. To lose their daughter and their mother in half a years time can seriously damage a person. It’s not easy to deal with grief. They must be heartbroken. I wish them strength and that they may find light at the end of the tunnel.
The nanny did her job this was a horrible accident it was not intentional.
@@cortezconquistador I mostly agree with the nanny doing her job. I do think she was partly to blame but she should does not deserve to feel guilty her whole life or be punished harshly for a mistake. It seemed as though the elevator doors closed too quickly.

This is so sad to hear, she should not have blamed herself for this, she was getting treatment so she could spend more time with her granddaughter, she could not have known this would've happened, may she rest in peace.
Here in my country Pakistan we don't tell our elders if some tragedy had happened because here they have week hearts and of we suddenly tell them the bad news they might die as well so what professionals do here in hospital is that if anyone loved ones have passed away in a car accident they always call the father or the brother. After that they come check the body if it's their loved one once identified the hospital instructs not to tell the bad news to family members who are going through medical issues. After that it depends on the dad or brother who to tell and who not to tell. Here sometimes it is kept hidden from mothers who have history of medical history just to keep them safe and they till the day they die don't know one of her child has passed away a long time ago. But still this only depends on the father or brother of the victim. And if the hospital is professional they just give u a little tip to not just tell the people with medical conditions
@@SaifAfridii I also don't see the need to tell elderly whom have dementia.
But in that case, she lived in the same city as her grand daugther.
No matter what lies the father could of came with, it wouldn't had worked long.
@@SaifAfridii yup that really happens a lot with South Asian countries. Although I don’t like keeping someone in dark but sometimes this is necessary to avoid further loss of family which is why I agree with medical procedure in Pakistan/India about trying not to tell someone with medical situation.

I understand her if my little sister died , I would also struggle to see hope
Little Cherry definitely resembles her grandma. They both had really similar smiles. I’m sure the two of them are now happy to be together in peace.
I can understand her refusing treatment. She probably felt “What’s the point of getting treatment to extend my life when my granddaughter, a very young soul, lost hers?”
I was very emotional watching this, not only had the father lost his daughter but also his mother, the most important woman in his life, I hope he recovers and stays strong.

Loved one is not thing to replace, but at least if family have 2 kids (more than 1) they’re still have strength to survive after the painful to take care of others kid.
R.I.P little cute little girl.
Nanny fault is clearly, but the building fault as well for design PUBLIC WINDOW TOO EASY TOO CLIMB FOR TOODLER. It’s close to the floor & open too dangerous
@Null Matrix Karma? Shut up. You act like the nanny pushed the child out of the window.
Yes the nanny was on her phone but not while the baby was accidentally left in the elevator. While they were walking out the baby girl did stepped off the scooter and it looked like the nanny thought she was on it before she was left. Regardless this is sad and this was an accident but if they want to claim someone it would be the buildings fault for having those elevator doors close too soon and having the sensors not detect the scooter inbetween the doors
“I’m going to take care of little cherry”
Just indescribably unfortunate. Breaks your heart

Grandma love for her family is very strong and admirable. After the death of her beloved granddaughter she went through a period of intense self blaming and ultimately choose to give up life and choose death. Even when this decision was made her love still stay strong. In her last words she wish her children to continue to live and without burdens while she wish to go into the afterlife to look after her granddaughter.
Yeah.... the afterlife in which we humans have made up. People like pretending and making up fairytales.
she chose to stop the treatment and death so that she can be there for her granddaughter on the otherside and make sure her granddaughter wont suffer lonely she said before her pastaway.
I remember this incident. Hearing her cries broke me. My daughter was around the same age at the time so it made more emotional. I really hope the laws around caregiving are taken seriously now and that locks or screens on windows are in place to prevent this from happening.
Every time I see the clip of Cherry crying to be let out of the elevator my heart just aches. Poor girl must have been terrified only to die soon afterwards so horrifically. May she and her grandmother Rest In Peace and be together always.

I’m so sad grandma blamed herself but it’s understandable that the little girl was a motivating force for her to continue her battle with cancer. Little cherry looks so sweet and cheerful and I can imagine she lifted grandma’s spirit. So now they are both reunited and taking care of each other. I remember this story. It broke me. This is too sad for words.
May Allah give her jannah 😢😢😢 she stopped her treatment so heart breaking 💔😢😢😭😭
What a sad story, Little Cherry, may you and your granny both rest in peace ...
Such guilt is not something you can live with, you just die from inside...no one can help...
RIP granny
And find your little angel in the heaven!
So sad to hear this. Can not imagine what kind of pain she was in due to that incident.
Im so heartbroken, I remember this story...Im so sorry Nana i hope youre with your little angel ❤
