Independence will be given by PNG government not outside. One major thing is for Bougainville economy to show strength and the President is seeking assistance to boost the bougainvillea economy. Once there signs of economic growth and strength independence will be granted. IMO.

United States of America will not dictate Papua New Guinea what to do,, Bougainville is PNGs territory 🇵🇬🇵🇬🇵🇬,, the Bougainville referendum is non binding,, and it is a only way to find solutions, to obtain independence from PNG is not a target for the 2001 peace agreement was signed.
