I will definitely be smoking and canning some shed this year. Another way I've heard of preparing them is to clean the fish and grind bones and meet up season to taste and making fish patties to freeze for a later date.

@@infocat13 I have done the skin on too. It is very good and holds the oil in the fish which most likely has the Omega 3's.
Looks fantastic. About how long did the canned meat last and how/where did you store them?
Didn't last very long, ate it right away and given to friends. Theoretically should last 2 years plus.
