The Volkswagen Jetta (About this soundlisten (help·info)) is a compact car/small family car manufactured and marketed by Volkswagen since 1979. Positioned to fill a sedan niche above the firm's Golf hatchback, it has been marketed over seven generations, variously as the Atlantic, Vento, Bora, City Jetta, Jetta City, GLI, Jetta, Clasico, and Sagitar (in China).
The Jetta has been offered in two- and four-door saloon / sedan, and five-door wagon / estate versions - all as four- or five-seaters. Since the original version in 1980, the car has grown in size and power with each generation.[1] By mid-2011, almost 10 million Jettas have been produced and sold all over the world. As of April 2014, Volkswagen marketed over 14 million, becoming its top selling mode

The Golf VII, Typ 5G[17] uses the new MQB platform, shared with the third-generation Audi A3, SEAT León and Škoda Octavia. It is slightly larger than the Mk6 while managing to be approximately 100 kg lighter, depending on engine choice. The GTI will offer a 154 kW (207 hp; 209 PS) turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder with an available performance pack to raise the output to 162 kW (217 hp; 220 PS).[18] The Golf R now has a 218 kW (292 hp; 296 PS) turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder with Haldex Traction all-wheel-drive.
A version of the GTI dubbed the GTI Clubsport making 195 kW (261 hp; 265 PS) was released in 2016. A variant of the Clubsport called the Clubsport S held the record for the fastest front-wheel-drive car around the Nürburgring, until the 2017 Honda Civic Type-R took the record once again.
The Golf line is available in all the relevant drive systems: the Golf TSI, including GTI, is petrol-powered; Golf TDI diesel (Turbo Direct Injection), including GTD, is diesel-powered; the Golf TGI is powered by compressed natural gas (CNG); the e-Golf is powered by electricity; and the Golf GTE is a plug-in hybrid. The use of a modular transverse matrix assembly kit enables the manufacturing of Golf models with gasoline, diesel, natural gas, electric and hybrid drives from bumper to bumper at Volkswagen factories.
In November 2016, Volkswagen revealed a facelifted version (Golf 7.5) to the 3-door hatchback, 5-door hatchback, 5-door estate, GTI and GTE, in addition to a new "R-Line" Golf. With those models, comes a new economical engine: 1.5-litre TSI EVO which produces 97 kW (130 hp; 132 PS) or 110 kW (148 hp; 150 PS) and replaces the 1.4-litre TSI. The updated GTI version now features a 230 hp as standard (220 hp previously) or 247 hp in the optional performance pack (230 hp previously). In terms of interior technology, the Golf now features a 12.3" TFT display as an option that is similar to Audi models and known as "Virtual Cockpit", full LED lights, animated tail indicators as an option (also used in Audi models), etc.
The most powerful Golf in the range is the Golf R. Built as a 3 or 5 door hatchback, it is powered by a newly developed version of the 1,984 cc (2.0 L; 121.1 cu in) turbocharged EA888 petrol FSI Inline-four engine used in the latest Golf GTI (and Audi S3), but in this application producing 300 PS (296 bhp; 221 kW) (206 kW (280 PS; 276 bhp) for "hot climate" markets such as Australia, South Africa, Japan, USA) from 5,500 to 6,200 rpm and 380 N⋅m (280 lb⋅ft) from 1,800 to 5,500 rpm of torque.[20] 0-62 mph (100 km/h) takes 5.1 seconds (versus 5.7 seconds for previous Golf R), or 4.9 seconds with optional DSG gearbox. In 3rd-party testing, it has been recorded at 4.5 seconds using Launch Control. The top speed is electronically limited to 155 mph (249 km/h).
The fifth generation is marketed as the Jetta in most markets; as Bora in Mexico and Colombia; Vento in Argentina and Chile; and as the Sagitar in China.
This is a car that VW should have made as a limited edition.

I just had my BWA rebuilt with Wossner rods with the hope to put a K04 on in the future, currently running Stage 2+ hardware and absolutely love it!
I'm currently building the GTD that the MK5 never got. Already took care of the chassis, suspension and breaks to make it handle like it should, just waiting on the engine go come back. I've swapped out the 1.9 105 BKC for a 1.9 PD150 ARL with a GTB2566VK turbo, Injectors, headbolts etc. Hoping for 270bhp, 350lbft on a low smoke tune.
Sounds sweet I love the PDs such tunable and bullet proof engines, I always wanted a diesel Golf that looked like a GTI but I don't do enough miles to warrant getting a diesel 🤷♂️
@@AlexTaylorGTI I used to be a mega diesel hater.. In my area everyone drives straight piped MK4 Bora's, Golf's, Jettas and Leons with reek maps and I was always disgusted by their coal burning owl barns on wheels.. But then I got a 1.6D Volvo and started to like getting by on £10 per week on fuel. So I bought a PD130 Passat, mapped it, popcorn limiter, straight pipe, etc. I basically became everything I hated. So I thought I'd try and see what I could do with a Diesel when I'm not acting like a twat.. So far so good, but I can say one thing, it's definitely more costly to get 270hp from a 1.9TDI than it is to get 270hp from the 1.8Ts that I'm so used to lol.
Sick ML as always by the way my friend had a golf R at 510bhp stock block he did have a sensor problem apparently because of the power but apart from that it was a little rocket until he slammed it lol

@@Fordfocusstmk3250 hey bro.... I did it myself to keep price down. The AWD stuff cost about £1500 and then the little bits like seals and stuff. Similar to this jetta, it all just fit in and worked.

KW coilovers was the best upgrade I did to my MK6, it makes 300whp but it was terrifying on the stock magnetic ride control bullshit... Gonna do the Holdex swap next and I wanna eventually get rid of the VW 2.5 and get a true RS3 or TTRS engine or at least the head so I can have direct and port injection

Are you saying the jetta has the 4wd chassis hardware already installed from the factory? No extra brackets or mounts needed to be welded in?

Not too much 4wd.. so, 99.9% of time it's running FWD. Only at launch sent some 30% torque to the rear, then after passing 20mph that car become FWD only. Understeering a LOT, torquesteering as well.
