This r32 golf is by far one of the scariest cars i've driven, i love pinning the throttle in every car i drive, but this car genuinely had me backing off with fear.

Hes talking about the sound, there is this thing with the sound where 3,6,12 cylinder engines sound really close on high rpm, same goes for 4,8,16. So yea if we're talking about the sound we can say its a v6 because it is in a nutshell, and i'm also pretty sure he knows what a vr6 is but someone always must be a smart ass in youtube comments.

Honestly I don't think 20k for a setup like this is too much. He made something special that you can't find anywhere. Compare it to say a brand new Golf R Mk7 its not a crazy amount of money.

I’d say the same car probs cost 10-15k plus putting 20k into it makes 30-40k total which can’t get you much better
I think v10 m5 or m6 for 10-15k, plus a ESS supercharger is the better option.

damn this is one hell of a build. not only is it really fast, but it also stops quickly, handles well and puts the power down. obviously it also looks awesome

Ben Ellis the 335i would probably be more fun bro and walk all over an r32 but there’s something about the sound🔥💥 I’ve just done a video on my channel fitting a non res exhaust system sounds so good!! Reliability the engines are bulletproof had no issues after 6 months of ownership just keep up with services

Thats almost 115 hp loss. That can't be right bruv. Id say its around 550 at the wheels and around 630 at the crank. It looks like more because the power delivery is very smooth ad hits you right in the face. My friend's 135i with full bolt ons feels like a rocket and is very brutal, but only makes 430 at the wheels when he last dyno'd it. Its all about the drivetrain, not just the powertrain.

As somebody who's owned several R32's I don;'t think I've ever seen one with such a superb all round setup. Kudos to the owner he knows it inside out, but that mapping and the power, it literally hits like a bus, savage done the right way!

I was watching this high af last night and i felt the emotion bro, crazy car man i love it
I used to work for a guy that had one of these as his second car.
I never knew they were a 6 cylinder until he let me drive it.
I had driven a lot of fast cars before, some with more than 1000HP, and also owned motorcycles (some turbocharged), so I was pretty familiar with fast vehicles.
His R32 had upgraded turbo(s) and a few other things, and I am pretty sure it was all wheel drive.
Being small, light, so powerful, and all wheel drive it was simply a rocket.
Not quite as fast as a turbo motorcycle, but easily as fast as - if not faster than - most European sports cars and/or any muscle car with less than 800HP.
In the wet and/or around urban areas, not much would stay with it; perhaps only a motorcycle in the dry.
R32 never came with a turbo from the factory, your guy must have had it all custom made, VW probably realised that this can be a killer 😂
Gear shifts are so fast, even the Flash cant change faster, its a monster of a car great job mate.

I had a white one 2008 R 32 God that glorious exhaust note for me it's the most Epic Raspy unique The best sounding car ever... I ended up with a 2015 Focus St I'm obsessed with the RS as well.... But the VR6 and that build hands down pulls like crazy 🔥🔥🔥

To be fair I really like the 5 pot turbo in the mk2 focus RS/ST but the VR6 was a childhood dream and 20 years down the line I still stand by it, absolutely love it, especially when boosted 👌🏽

Crazy fast R32!! I also think there is more than 535BHP under there... It hauls! Especially for the turbo size and the fact that it's a built motor. Could be 535 wheel horse power!
The DSG compliments the engine making it far more responsive on the road but im only running 17psi of boost at the moment so the figures will climb once I dial it in next year 🤞🏼

The GTI wouldn’t see what way the R32 went if it was a standstill drag race. Rolling in 3rd it would be one very entertaining race. The GTI is seriously fast and the owner is one of the best on LLF but that R32 looks like it grips like shit to a blanket.
