...the automatic base iso could be improved. It would be nice, if the Base Iso switches to the nearest base iso instead to change when you reach or pass a base iso. That would deliver always an image with less noise....It would be great, to have that option

This doesn't look like Canon usual way of asking us to pay the canon tax. They must be feeling the heat from Sony FX6 sales.
They will have paid-add ons for codecs and features. Mark my words.
Loki is a Canon user
The triple base iso is neat, but those mini xlr ports are hard to over look. I don't understand why they couldn't just take the same body design from the c300 mark iii and c500 mark ii and keep the full-sized xlr ports. If you own one of those other cameras and want to get the c400 for the rf mount, youre gonna have to get completely different accessories. I'd rather they just announce a box camera design with this same technology at least then I could justify those mini xlr ports. I have a c70 with mini xlr and I'm so tired of carrying around adapters for everything. I think it's time to look at Sony. This was my last hope, but I'm done with canon.
He says it’s between those 2 existing cameras. But it’s priced like a C200. I wish he would just say “we’re cannibalizing our line like any innovative company should.” Everything missing in this camera will be sorted by 3rd party solutions I bet. So this just feels like reassurance to stockholders trying to figure out why Canon is trying something new. Not honesty.

What do you prefer so ? S5iix is doing everything WE need.
almost nobody needs 8K. ARRI Alexa Classic is 2.8K and manufacturers today in 2024 still can't make a sensor that looks as good as that one...
way overpriced. Get a blackmagic for 1/4 the price and better color science

if the Pyxis would have come out with internal NDs and recording options other than BRAW, wow!! I would have sold all of our cameras and gone back to BMD, but nop!
