I know you are working your meal planning magic hard core these days so I thought I would share one of the ways I use my side bar sometimes. I hate hate hate being forced to make a specific meal on a specific day. I need flexibility! So I plan out my meals for the week just in a list over on my side bar and mark down which day I made which meal so I know what ingredients I still have on hand. This had been really handy for when my schedule gets unexpectedly busy one day and I know I'm not going to have time/energy to make one of the more time intensive meals so I can look at my list and see we are set to have something quick like instant pot chili in the week. I can plan to have that on my busy day and still have time to make the fancier dish on a slower day and not have to scribble out or find a cute sticker to cover up the meal plans. This has been a real game changer for me in my meal planning. I love to plan, but I absolutely must have flexibility built in, and this is how I do it when it comes to meal planning. That and freezer meals/meal swapping so I have a few things on hand all of time for backups.
Heather, I really, really think you should work "hang office curtains" into your planner next week! Love your videos, I'm a planner virgin so your videos are very helpful. Would love to see more on memory planners, that's what I've started with and am so enjoying adding pictures from my Sprocket to it. Thank you for all you do!
I just love watching you flip through this planner, and great ideas! As a grad student, sometimes if I have a lot of homework one week I'll use the sidebar to list all of my assignments and their due dates. :-)
You could also use the sidebar to add motivational quotes to keep you going. I know its sometimes hard to stay on track or focused. So its nice to have a motivational quote to motivate you.
Love this video! So very helpful! Heather i really love that you share your entire thought process ...i cannot begin to express how very much THAT itself is super duper helpful! I LOVE all of your videos, but especially these types of videos where you share and teach us something along the way! It has really helped me greatly on my planning journey. Your talent for teaching is innate, and hour skill flows out so naturally Thanks Heather
I would add birthdays, anniversaries and memorials to the sidebar. I have said goodbye to too many people, but I know there are others who are hurting at the loss of their loved one, so it is good to remember them.
I use the side panel for budgeted items. For example, I may need new scrubs vs a new Happy Notebook. My “Needs” list is right there and I always see it. I also take the current week out of my planner and put it on my fridge. That way I see what I need to do, and what I need to save up for everyday. Thanks for the vid.
Love all your ideas...Love your handwriting!!! Do you have any tutorials on hand writing? Your planner looks soooooo pretty...tfs...continued blessings...
I love it thank you I needed this video. What do you do when you miss a week? It was crazy one week I never got to my planner. So just wanting to know what do you do
I love the idea of using the sidebar for decor! You're right- it really makes your spread pop!!!❤❤❤
A Prayer List (list of people to pray for, or a list of specific prayers) is another idea. I love all of your ideas! Great video ❤

I love this idea! Sometimes I plan a meal for a specific day, and then we eat out and I have to move the meals around.
@@christinaruiz4183 it's super helpful for me - I hope it works well for you, too!
Love this idea!

I love the gratitude idea! I often put my meal plan for the week on mine. 😊
This was a video planner babes needed to see! TFS!
Thank you Heather...my side bars are mostly not used...really enjoyed getting new ideas for that area!

Thanks for sharing this! Gave me some ideas to use in "bottom bar" of my horizontal planner.
You could also use the sidebar to add motivational quotes to keep you going. I know its sometimes hard to stay on track or focused. So its nice to have a motivational quote to motivate you.

I really liked last year's planner. How you did yellow every week and I felt like it was so useful.
I've been LOVING all these ideas on how to use videos! So helpful!
I like those long stickers for the sidebar but I do t have many of them. I create them with skinny washi to outline the lines section.
Great idea!

All really awesome ideas! TY so much ❤😊

Love this video! I tend to do the exact same thing in the sidebar every week(boring) so this is much appreciated!

J adore tes pages. Elles sont toutes plus belles les unes que les autres. Je m'inspire beaucoup de ce que tu fais pour decorer mon happy planner.
Luv the video. You always give very detailed and awesome ideas. Thx
I do my meals for the week or habit trackers
I really needed this video. All of my sidebars are blank. Now I have tons of ideas to put into practice. Thank you!
Good Ideas.. ! Ya know, I was adding some new things to my "Home Notebook" and I was wondering have you added anything to yours lately?
Great ideas! Love the journaling one. I have perfect stickers for that.
Thank you for sharing this video I really appreciate it very much. I will be using these ideas for this 2019 - 2020 school year.
Love this video it was extremely helpful. It was exactly what I was looking for. Thank you
On occasion, I use my sidebar to record bills I need to pay for the week. I also use it as a way of keeping track of a grocery list.
Tfs! Sadly, I hardly ever do anything with my side bar. Coming from a horizontal HP, I'm not used to having that space.
Thank you!! These are amazing ideas and definitely helpful!
I wish I was this creative with my planners.
Great ideas! Thanks
I love all you videos... Thanks for sharing
Oh my gosh! This was awesome! I’ve always struggled with my sidebar!🙄. Thank you! #allabouttheflorals
I brought that sticker book just for the habit trackers 😂😂😍😍
This was really helpful! Thanks 🙂
This is great. Always wondering what to do with the sidebars.
Awesome ideas!
These were great ideas. Will be using them.
Great ideas. Thank you.
I use mine for meal planning and hydration tracking
I love it thank you I needed this video. What do you do when you miss a week? It was crazy one week I never got to my planner. So just wanting to know what do you do
You could retro plan if you use your planner to reference back to.
I love these vids 🤪
Received my Planner and stickers today. My sidebar is grid lined. So, I wanted to watch a video to see the possibilities 😀
I hope MAMBI re-releases this sugar and spice planner for 2020 .
Buy Holly’s birthday gift? You’re buying me a present? Is it a planner?! 😂🤣😂
Haha Holly is my twin sister's name :)
I didn’t know you had a twin! Identical?
@@kellofaplan Heather & Holly, that's beautiful!! And both botanical names!!
@@HCKnapman theyre not identical. You should check out her Instagram. She has pictures of them together :)
