You guys are awesome. Thank you. Autozone and similar companies refuse to install batteries in Infiniti cars ( too technical is the excuse) . Was quoted 140 dollars labor just to install the battery. I am a total novice in these things. With the videos help it took me 25 minutes to do this. Much appreciated.
This was really helpful. The only slightly tricky part was figuring out how the top plastic shroud came apart... I don't have a memory saver but after connecting the new battery, I didn't notice anything missing. The clock was correct and all my radio presets were still there.
Your video helped me out a great deal. I thought changing the battery out of my INFINITY QX50 would be simple, but I ran into a few snags. Once I viewed your video, I was good to go! Thank you so much!
Can’t thank you enough for including the detail of the cowling pieces. Your video made this job a snap. I did this at a shop my buddy owns and he has a clamp tool to help lift the battery out so you may want to look into that for future videos. Cheers!
Thanks for uploading this. I found it's always good to review the steps prior to jumping in and this gave me a good idea of what is needed to be done. I literally just finished up replacing my battery and have some minor suggestions. You called out the size of the terminal nuts but not on the braket which were also 10mm but need a deep socket. Also should caution that the hold down braket just hooks at the bottom and be carefu not to drop them after removing the nuts. I didn't have an issue but I could see it easily getting dropped. Last suggestion would be just a note how to install the clips. I imagine there are some that are just getting into this type of stuff and may not realize you have to hold up the center of the clip when reinstalling. Thanks again, much appreciated.
great video thanks is there a link to the memory saver you guys used? the dinky ones off amazon plug into cig lighter and use 9v battery. i want big one that clips to battery like yours
Hi - Thanks for watching! It depends on the vehicle. Anything from nothing, to minor resets like clock or radio, to no start due to immobilizer reset. Check out our video on memory saving. The link is in this video's description.
I put a 24F battery in my q50 and everything in my car turns on but the engine, when I try to start it the car clicks once and doesn’t turn on. The recommended battery size for a q50 is a 35, does it matter?
Thank you for watching. If you do not have a jump back showed in the video you can use a memory saver with and OBD port connection. You can see our videos on using a memory saver.
Hi - Thanks for watching! If a memory saver was not used during battery replacement, several vehicle systems may require resetting. We suggest that you check the vehicle owner's manual or a service/repair manual for the reset procedure(s).
The battery part number depends on your vehicle model and options. You can get a replacement battery from most auto supply stores, you don’t have to get it from the dealer unless you want an OEM battery.
Hi - Thanks for watching! Just looked at the video and am not seeing what you are commenting about. At what point (time) in the video are you referring to?
What would happen if you don't have a memory saver. My window guy at to replace buy windshield and had to disconnect the power from the battery this calls the car not to start
Hi - Thanks for watching and sharing your experience. Check out our video on memory saving procedures. ua-cam.com/video/vSP3ShcaFgQ/v-deo.html
Hi - Thanks for watching! We suggest that you check the vehicle owner's manual to be sure. There should also be information on any vehicle system resets that may have to be performed after a battery replacement, and how to do them.
Nice video, but the editing doesn't show the exact locations of certain parts and areas. I did learn not to remove my own battery because I don't have the machine to keep power to the brain.
You installed the positive cable incorrectly. There is a rubber guard over the cables where they drape over the metal parts that's supposed to protect the cable from making contact with the metal edge. You were supposed to spread the rubber part to make sure it straddled the metal edge. You failed.
Whoever designed these cars is a narcissist. We couldn’t figure out how to replace the battery and when my neighbor who claimed to be an expert came over to try it, he said it was nearly impossible and hard to figure out, and these are the same neighbors who always say I’m an idiot and unsuccessful in life and none of these people could figure it out and I didn’t know anything about it either but instead of being lazy I decided to search on Google how to replace a battery for an Infiniti Q 50 and then this video came up And I was able to do it by myself within 15 minutes and everyone was impressed 😂
Hi - Thanks for watching! We suggest that you check the vehicle owner's manual or a service/repair manual for any computer reset procedures that may be necessary.
Well darn... this was a letdown. Not the battery I'm interested in... who needs a guide on removing a 12V battery -_- How about the 345V battery in the trunk?

Regarding the memory saving procedure, can I just use jumper cables from a good battery to the battery terminals on the Q50 ??
This is exactly what I needed to know. Excellent.

Thanks, quick and easy 5 min struggled instead of the 30+ min videos 😊
Hi - You’re welcome and thanks for watching!
I'm curious as to why you didn't recommend applying a ternimal protectant grease on the new battery?

Hi, i was wondering the battery you changed is it EDF or AGM type?
Is it necessary to use a battery saver
You can just leave the running while changing the battery.
Thanks looks like the shrouds are the only extra things

I took that same cover of in my 2014 q50 and theres no battery there?
You probably have a hybrid. It's in the trunk behind a panel... on the back part driver side.
Thanks for uploading the video, very helpful.
Hi - You're welcome and thanks for watching!
What mm wrench is used to loosen the fastener on the battery terminal?
We used a 10mm wrench!

This is cute but my battery in my 2016 is in the trunk and I can’t get it out because of where it’s positioned.
That’s why you don’t get stupid hybrid cars…
