Yes, why not? When the US soldier wasn´t relaxed and stood arround like a stiff ass and always in allert, it might be good to remind him that he is arround friends. But maybe he was trained that the USA can be next day in a war with a todays friend. And this is not good. Our today`s soldiers would never would follow an order for a war against a friend. This is the big difference, I would assume.

Many thanks and respect to the Medevacs who saved the lives and health of our German soldiers. I heard that they didn't care that there was a sandstorm between Kunduz and Mazar-e Sharif. They flew through the sandstorm with the wounded German soldiers and took them to the German Armed Forces Hospital. I don't know if they were the same as in the video, but for that alone there should be a medal of honor.

What an honor given by our now allied, Germany. As a former US Army Blackhawk Crew Chief and Inspector and 158th Avn Bn when it was with the 101st Airborne Division, I am happy to see these young 158th soldiers carry on the history of this great Unit.
Most of us Americans are European, I am English/Welsh and Irish. This is beautiful, the Germans lost 3 of their guys that day and nearly a dozen critically wounded. It is awesome to know our boys are willing to drop everything for our allies. I am very proud of these boys, damn good job guys.

My grandfather from my moms side stole chocolate from an american tank and got caught. For some reason the american dude could talk german because he had german ancestors or something and he just gave a warning to my grandpa not to do it again. What a cheeky bastard my grandpa was and still is! I don’t want to know what would have happened if he did the same thing with a russian tank crew...
Damn. The Americans treated everyone pretty damn good. The Frenchmen were pissed and the Brits were a bit annoyed as well (which is understandable if you think about the bombing raids on London e. g.) but as long as people didn’t get captured by the Russians they were pretty happy.

The Cross of Honour in Gold for outstanding Deeds is the second highest but still 1:59 .... Well done! I thank you for your service. Currently the highest one is the Cross of Honour for Valor. The differences are that it's completely in gold without any red and of course... what do you expect... the additional oak leaves. Maybe we might get some swords in the future as well ;-)
