German uniforms are pretty nice looking!! Bad ass!
Its Army (grey), Marine (lower rank uniform) and Airforce with their standart uniforms. The officer rank of the Marine wear a blue marine suit. There are actual only the combat and standart uniform, therfore the soldiers wear also boots to this uniform. The daily service is usualy done in a more comfy combat uniform, but also with boots - wich is not so pleasant during summer, because the German summer can go up to 35° Celsius.
I'm telling you man. Nazis might have been bad, but they had the baddest looking uniforms. Glad they kept with it. Hard not to look good, you know back in the day the Nazi uniforms were made by Hugo Boss

Ich bin froh in der Zeit von obama gelebt zu haben. Er konnte leider nicht viel machen (wegen Senat = Mehrheit Republikaner) und musste wegen den laufenden Kriegen von bush viel Kritik übernehmen. Aber seine Visionen, sein Charakter und sein gutes Herz waren ein Vorbild nicht nur für Amerikaner, sondern für die ganze Welt.
Es war rückblickend auch einfach ein großes Privileg, die USA als zivilisiertes westliches Land mit würdevoller Führung und sowas wie nationaler Einheit, zumindest oberflächlich, zu erleben. Mit Obama waren die schon wirklich respektabel. Heute ist es eine einzige Schlammschlacht, es tut in der Seele weh sich das anzuschauen.

In Deutschland legt man beim Abspielen der Hymne seine Hand nicht auf's Herz, jedenfalls nicht bei offiziellen Anlässen.Das mag in den USA gebräuchlich sein, hierzulande jedenfalls nicht. Davon abgesehen wirkt es unangemessen pathetisch, aber das ist nur meine persönliche Meinung.

Wenn beispielsweise dein Kind ein Supergenie wäre und viel erreicht im Leben, dann wärst du als Vater sicherlich auch stolz, dass er dein Sohn ist. Ähnlich ist es mit Nationalstolz. Es ist einfach gesund patriotisch zu sein, meiner Meinung nach. Das gibt natürlich nicht den Freifahrtschein nicht auch etwas für das Land zu erreichen. Am besten reiht man sich in die Ahnenreihe ein und versucht auch großes zu erreichen, und das Land zu etwas besserem zu machen.
