    if you were to do the top part with clippers, what guard number would you suggest using?

    • @abfernandez5604
      @abfernandez5604  6 років тому +1

      In this cut I can, the highest is #8, if a client don’t want a comb over then you might get away with it and style it forward

    • @brianbortz
      @brianbortz 6 років тому

      thank you! what guard would you recommend? for a non comb over

    • @abfernandez5604
      @abfernandez5604  6 років тому +1

      It really depends what the client ask you, when doing a consultation you can find all this out, the number 5 just so you know will be close to almost finger link

    nice cut and video. are either of your clippers or trimmers zero gapped?

    • @abfernandez5604

      yout00b Yes they are. The T-Outliners and the Master.

    • @moronsaltable
      @moronsaltable 7 років тому

      AB Fernandez thanks for the reply. One last question. I have a gtx t outliner and a master, if I zero gap them both, will the gtx trimmer cut shorter? Thanks again for your time

    • @abfernandez5604
      @abfernandez5604  7 років тому

      +yout00b of course it will be closer to the skin, I have a short video on how to set them up. Be careful not to expose the cutting blade you will cut your client. 0gapping the masters will allow you to get the skin initial guideline out better.

    • @abfernandez5604
      @abfernandez5604  4 роки тому +1

      YNOT BOSSIN yes that is fine. Their is many ways to make that first bald guideline. T-outline for example.

    You mentioned you were using the Dorko Prime Blades. I used them a few times b4 in my DE’s and there pretty good......
    -I’ve been Traditional WetShaving over a year and a half now and love it. It makes the burden of the daily shave fun. Whether it’s your Grandpa’s Vintage Gillette or something modern you can’t go wrong. The double edge blades are inexpensive and give a clean, close, irritation free baby butt smooth shave. The Shave soaps and creams are really good for your skin as well. The can of goo stuff has propellants in it that are not that good for your skin. For example the Excellent Quality Artisan shave soaps have all different kinds of butters and Oils to help make your skin feel hydrated and subtle. Lastly get yourself a nice Badger, Boar, horse, or synthetic brush and you’ll be all set. I always recommend to people just starting out watch these UA-camrs to get any further information on technique. In short just remember this...” 30° a light touch, let the razor to all the work gentlemen”.

    How can I kill the hairline between the 1 all way open and 2?

    • @abfernandez5604
      @abfernandez5604  6 років тому

      Praseodymium Closing the One guard a little and using the conners, you can also use the thinning shears. Hope this helps.

    • @pauledward4841
      @pauledward4841 6 років тому

      I mean, the graduation between 1 all way open em closed 2, in Wahl is used the 1.5 guard

      But in Andis there is no 1.5 guard

    • @abfernandez5604

    So if you don’t flick out you will create a hard line that you can’t get out?

    • @abfernandez5604
      @abfernandez5604  7 років тому +1

      William M Flicking the wrist will help you not create a hard line and it will be easier to take out. If you create a hard line you can still take it our but with a lot more work and maybe have to raise the fade higher trying to erase it. Practice males perfect and perfect males speed = more money. I hope I was able to help you. Also keep in mind if you are doing a skin fade you can use the shaver on a downward motion super lightly to help you take out that outliner line. Good luck.
