What's up Vintage Beebom Squad! Which Developer Options do you use in Android? 🤔
Animation slow 0.5 speed
To tweak transitions and animations.
@@jaybhatt3515 yes very very very helpful
the most useful for me is cpu watcher and for gamers
USB debugging 🙃
One useful feature is to disable mobile data always on when connected to WiFi. This was especially useful on the initial builds of Android 12 for better battery backup.
😮
How
This is disabled by default I guess, I like to keep it enabled always due to fast switching, in case wifi stops working.
You need this with vowifi. Or calls will drop if you need to switch go volte
say how?
In the speed mode you should have mentioned that the score was achieved because the temperature reached 49° C.
He showed the notification saying your phone will heat up.. what did you expect after that?
ya its simple also the temp is not of back side its internal temp. while u game internal temps of flagship devices and powerful devices r like 50 to 70 in cpu cores its normal when they hit hard .
4x msaa is a demanding anti aliasing... it will reduce fps on older phones
Always sets animation scale to 0.5x right after buying a new device.
Why ?🤔
I did the same..
@@hendyhariadi why
@@hendyhariadi new phone is already fast, why to use it for new phone??
@@mihirgagp Some UIs have slow animation speeds that's why change to 0.5x.
lower the animation scale to 0.5 for fast and snappy UI interactions... especially in one UI.
The most useful feature for me is to
CHANGE the ANIMATION SCALE & ZOOM to 0.5x,
it speeds up the animations and your phone feels fast.
sometimes break few apps visual in some ui skin
@@devanshanil2468 don't know bro, have used ColorOS, MIUI, Stock, works on all with a charm
@@priyanshhgupta some apps here and their less popular apps or poorly written ones. once i was using a scanner app iot used to glitch a lot then after few device ups it fixed. small and rare prob
People are still using that in 2022?!! It was fine until like 2016 but nowadays, all phones are good enough to be fast with lovely animations.
It makes phone choppy and makes UI feel like that of cheap device. Smooth and good animations is what seperate good OS from bad OS.
Guys, please don't use the default usb configuration. There's a reason why you have to enable it after UNLOCKING your phone.
Please let us know what's that reason.
@@ashwathv4844 see, if someone gets a hand on your phone and default usb is set to file transfer then he can easily transfer data to the pc but if default usb is not set to file transfer then he will need to first unlock the phone and then choose the file transfer option from the notification panel...so he won't be able to copy data without your permission
Exactly
@@avimodi1965 No sorry, then you must running a pretty old device, with newer versions of Android, atleast 9, you have to unlock your phone first.
@@avimodi1965 First try to use a phone before saying all this. You have to unlock your device if the device has to be visible in ur laptop. don't talk something without knowing about it.
I use .5x animation scale on every android, and it is awesome. As of today, I'm using force dark mode, and it's great as well.
Have been using these since I started using Android smartphones in 2010. The best thing I liked is the animation, transition scale. It removes the sluggishness.
Same here
We all know we need Android 12 as soon as possible over any developer feature, great video btw
Thanks, I will try couple of these options and see if that helps me improve my experience
Meanwhile, I been already using Dev options to reduce Animation scale from 1.0x to 0.5x (reduce them to half) to speed-up / snap-up my phone transitions / animations with still keeping the animations
Vintage boom boom 💥💥.. beeboom is back 🔥
Animation scale and hiding display cut out are pretty useful too.
One I use is a quick setting toggle called "sensors off". It literally shuts down all the sensors in your phone, proximity, mic, camera, everything... The mic automatically turns on during calls but nothing else will trun on automatically, not even the proximity sensor during calls to turn off the display. Pretty annoying but can save some battery...
Only on samsung phones right
@@TheAprajeeth no bro.. i have a Motorola phone..
@@TheAprajeeth op had it too
you can enable it on any os by Developer Options → Quick Settings Developer Tiles → Sensors Off
@Shreyas Gavhalkar the last time i checked it wasnt available on miui, so i assumed that it was only available on oneui. My bad
A great developer option is to set smallest width, I personally like small font, and there is only a limit to which you can reduce font. To reduce more, increase the smallest width.
Even works after disabling the developer option
@@dr.aashish. yeah it does, but to gain access of it, you need to enable developer options
Beware it can brick your phone
@@admentanium6167 what does "brick your phone " mean?
I set my Smallest width to 476 all the time, because i like small fonts... 😎It even works after u disable the developer option..
It's giving wierd white line on the top of the display when I tried changing it from 411 to 454 and 476.... So eventually had to revert to 411😞
Ya it works because it is also available on Display and Brightness😂😂
Still not available to lower it down to whatever you want... Can only be possible in developer option
Hey Rupesh I am a big fan!
I have been using the "Default USB configuration" option set to USB tethering for about 2 years now! Love your presentation!
I use all 3 animation scales at 0x.
On all my devices.
Once you're used to it, there's no coming back.
Ditto!
How
'OEM unlock' & 'USB debugging' are the two options in 'Developer options' I enable first.
What are these for?
@@LUFFY_MISHRA OEM Unlock--> to open the bootloader for rooting the phone and USB debugging--> to Enable ADB to help in the rooting process. Other than that, I don't think they have much of a use
@@dhruvsirsaikar556 USB debugging has vast usages. It is used while developing android apps. And in many more cases...
Take your friend's new phone; enable developer options; set the animation speeds to the lowest setting and watch them go crazy. 😉
Developer Options --> Smallest width
Enables us to change the system-wide screen resolution to suit our taste.
Pls explain more about it
It lets you display more or less content on your phone's screen. You can give it a try, using custom values for your device.
For example, I use it at "420" for 6.67 inch display.
Higher number = more and smaller content
Lower number = lesser and bigger content
The moment I got my OnePlus 7T, I went into Developer Settings and set all animation scales to 0.5x which is the lowest they can be. Made my already blazing fast OnePlus feel even snappier by fastening up the animations.
Nope, it can be set to 0 which is where I set mine.
@@furrycavedweller4140 I said 0.5 as the lowest because that's the setting where you would actually be able to see the animations. At 0, there won't be any animation, it would just open up stuff directly and while it technically would be faster, it won't feel that "fluid". So basically 0.5 is the lowest animation setting cuz at 0 the animation just goes away.
@Saint Eagle yep, I personally like the instant feel of the animations off. I was just saying there is a faster option than .5 and that's off. Not trying to stir ya up. Peace!
I am cool too like that (Psst.....dark mode!). Thanks, Beebom for bringing such high-quality tech videos including the one of running chrome OS Flex and running windows 11 on mobile! These videos make you stand out among the other "regular boring mobile/gadget review channels". Peace......but hate the ones where it starts with an annoying "Chaliye shuru karte hain" (wink)!
Nice video! Also, 3:50 maybe speed up your window animations to 0.5x or 1x. It seemed quite slow.😅
The first option was super handy. That saved me from trouble of connecting to pc.
Thanks a bunch.
Me too... Very helpful info
This video was absolutely amazing , like everyday I had to manually do the usb tethering option now Beebom like saved my entire time & efforts !!
it is super handy to set default behaviour to data transfer..that also makes your phone vulnerable ...It is a security risk..that's why it is disabled by default...Probably you should mention it in the next video
I used legend developer option- Bootloader Unlock that means OEM unlocking.
developer option (stock android) are different than the OS in this video , so title could be better but yes overall very informative video, now my friends or other new users might not be that scared when i show them this video see its normal to fiddle settings or phone. thanks for sharing this one! Good Luck for next one!
I regularly use Running services feature .. even if i have 8GB ram, still i use that. It is cool
If you charge your phone on a public or other places, it is a bad idea to change the default setting to file transfer. It is extremely easy for hackers to steal your data when you connect your phone to a public or unknown charging stations.
1:07 super handy and dangerous too, with that option enabled if your phone got stolen or something EVEN if your phone is locked, the theft or whatever can get everything out of your phone, just the files in /data
You have to unlock phone once to view the phone in pc.
@@mohammadmujammil5584 wait really? its alright then
I'm using animation scale set to .5x(in my old device set to off),Logger buffer size set to 64k,power monitor for fps and temp in MIUI.
Pls explain logger buffer size
@@souvikkundu7774 Logger Buffer Size is a feature that is introduced to customize the processing speed of your Sound Card to collect Voice. More the Buffer size, slower the processing and vice-versa.(courtesy)
Developer options - Drawing - minimum width : set to 1200
You're welcome on a whole ne free and easy use of your device. Finally, freedom. Take care folks
Don't enable Force x4 Msaa unless your phone supports bypass charging as it drains battery and puts more load on your gpu cpu
I use the animation speed feature...just turn it off and you can feel the difference instantly.
The “File transfer” setting is there for a reason. Let’s suppose , you connected your phone to a friend’s laptop for charging & you unlocked your phone and it gave access to all your data. See! Where i am going with this?
I tune the animation scale to . 5x for fast experience.
Dont use the default usb settings and connect your phone to a public charging station they can access all your files, as many charging stations are found to be siphoning data
Right now after a few videos about Qualcomm, it's confusing if I should buy or skip android phones for this release.
Snapdragon 8Gen1
Snapdragon 8Gen1 TSMC
Snapdragon 8Gen1 (with extra cooling layers)
Snapdragon 8Gen1 Plus
Which is the least problematic one?
😓😐
i think Snapdragon 8Gen1 TSMC will be called Snapdragon 8Gen1+
@@yogeshsubedi8240 no, plus version has some modifications too, maybe allows overclocking like 888 vs 888+
@@Zekr0_ small portion of snapdragon 8 gen 1 are made by TSMC 4nm too and Qualcomm are going with TSMC's 3nm for their next generation chips.
@@yogeshsubedi8240 actually, I just read some news, you are correct. I am sorry and thank you for providing correct information.
@@yogeshsubedi8240 I also read that samsung lost business with Qualcomm because of their 35% yield rate.
Warning:-The "default usb configuration" is actually a huge Security and Privacy risk because anyone would get instant access to your phone by simple plugging a simple USB.
Only if the phone is unlocked bro
@@SunburnX yeah bro idk why these all people are saying they can access your data, obv you have to unlock first, they all must be using pretty old devices.
Lol,when you open settings it will reloa.. um it stayed in the background, let's ignore it noone will notice🤣😜
But these settings reset after your phone restarts😤
Nice and knowledgeable video..
I have a question please do reply okay
I'm using note 20 ultra and i want to set my notification panel transparent.. how can i do it? Please do reply..
Transparent means when i slide down my notification panel the background becomes dark.. I'm not able to see in settings to change it
5:00 for the gaming driver i have
Default , Game Driver and Pre-release driver
Hey Man , I'm cool too ! I always have screen in forced dark mode. But does it drain battery more or less than light mode???
Changing my dpi for small fonts overall 🔥🔥
Please tell me which app u use to see antutu score on mobile
Enabling usb configuration to transfer files is a dumbest thing because anyone can access your mobile without unlocking by connecting to pc
It can't transfer data without unlocking
@@SunburnX can't even view data without unlocking
I switch off all animation for lag-free MIUI.
MIUI is the worst optimised UI., but the problem was with the animations. I switched them off., Now it's working good for me.

Can you please tell , Which smartphone you used in this video ??
Finally the pain to go in usb preferences is gone.
Thanks!!! 👍
1:00 In my opinion it's a risky feature considering the security of our phone because if the phone gets stolen then anyone can just connect the phone with the pc and get all the data without unlocking the phone...🙄
No, it won't connect to pc unless the phone is unlocked. So no issues
You can use Thermal guardian on aamsung to start throttling at higher temps. Which is like speed mode i guess and use game pluguns for prioritizing game performance over battery and temp.
Is it an app or setting in Developers
Usb default not working for realme 9 pro 5 g
Select usb aarara hay
Where is the "speed mode" located on an Android phone?
1:39 Xiaomi Phones won't show RAM usage... I don't know why they hidden it
It's hidden from Android 10 days
In realme ui it's 'performance mode' in battery section 😅.
You missed free form window beebom👀
Never kill your apps , power consumption of ram is much less than power consumption of your CPU, GPU and RAM which gets triggered to relaunch the app. That’s why apple suggests not to force kill an app. Same applied to android as well.
one question Beebom squad
Does focus mode good for gaming ?
Please let me know
Its not safe to leave developer options open. So after disabling developer options with changes. Its not refelecting changes in mobile. What should we do in this case? Any suggestions?
hey you just left the most useful and amazing or super OP setting
which is " Force desktop mode "
you can make a whole video on this thing
Where's the speed mode in Samsung One UI 4?
Make a separate full video for gamers.
Developer options ,etc
I'll second this although I think I've got an understanding of it. My Note 20 doesn't really need to improve on the gaming aspect. Perfect gamer phone.
Did you got OTA update on Pixel 6 here in India ??
Most of the options seems Android 12 only take fps counter for example, I'm currently on 11, or it is bc of custom skin(realme UI 2.0)????
Wanna make your phone LOOK Faster ??
Set
Window Animation scales = .5x
Transition animations scale = .5x
Animator duration scale = .5x
BOOM. your phone is snappy now !!
I'd recommend leaving the Animator duration scale to 1x for 60hz displays so the UI doesn't look too fast.
