That opener sounds like a country song by Martin Delray that I know, with all the w's! LOL It is tough when we have to get permits to hike the areas we love nowadays. Glad you at least got one of them. The local stuff is still great. That is an awesome list of peaks. Many of which I have on my list as well. Sounds like a brutal loop. You could do it though. Way to celebrate the big 54! Good luck on your adventures! Have a great day.
It is a bit heartbreaking when original plans don't plan out, but some other great opportunities will no doubt come to mind and all will turn out excellent. Local is really all I have right now myself, but its fun to find different spots and will probably be more day-trips and a couple day camping trips too. Will sure be looking forward to your shared adventures!
I will definitely make the most of my time. I think I just wanted to top last years adventures, but that would be hard either way. I have so much around here I still need to hike. Take care!
Hi Mike- sorry to hear you didn't get a permit for the Wonderland trail- I'm sure all of the trails you mentioned are super popular- maybe next year. You know I love hiking at Mount Rainier NP- hoping you get to explore and see it first hand too! I'll look forward to seeing all your Utah hikes- the 24 hour challenge sounds super intense, but if anyone can do it, you can! You'll have a blast at the Tetons too... so many amazing mountains to explore. I've heard of the Alabama Triple Crown, but haven't watched any videos of it- hope that works out for you too. 😄🥾🥾 - Jen
Thank you for the encouragement. Hopefully, my following videos will have less of me and more of the beautiful areas that surround me. I plan on Wonderland trail next year for sure. Even if I have to do a walk-up permit.
@@cachemacstrailtime It's good to hear what you've got in store! Yes, I've heard that one can put together a Wonderland hike by walk-up, you just have to be a bit more flexible with dates. I'm hoping to get at least one permit for one night at Rainier this summer- if I go mid-week I should be able to get a last minute opening, doesn't matter where to me. I'd like to hike and explore a bit more around the Carbon River area... it's more remote and harder to access, but doable. :) - Jen
I’m doing the Teton Crest Trail in August! Wish I had known I would have tried to connect. There is one permit that is walk up that if I don’t get, I’m just going to exit the TCT early and run to the Winds for the weekend on the way out. That’s an ambitious peak list! Keep me posted on the Kings trip. The Wurl is gnarly. The Beat Out hike is the south ridge section from White Baldy and exiting Bells Canyon. I know I’m not getting any younger! All good stuff! I always gain a few pounds on winter. It’s coming off! I need to visit the Ogden area more! Great trail you were on! I’ll add you on Facebook! 👍🥾
Thanks for sharing! 😊😊😊
Thanks for watching.
This trail looks fun! 🤩 Good luck at the WURL and your peak list! ✌
Thank you. I appreciate you stopping by and checking out the channel.
Sounds like you are ready for some awesome backpacking trips. Can’t wait to see the areas you are going to.
A lot of rocky cliff areas in my future. I'm sure you'll like it.
Take care, Jason!
