    19:13 mystic sanctuary is up at instant speed by using a fetch. pretty fun tech i’ve gotten to use a couple times haha

      That's true but sadly the opponent used it too soon in that case 😅

    Izoni looks really fun! I've been having fun with the new Kellan, turning my opponents things into artifacts and blowing them up

      That sounds technical and I like it! Always fun to jump through some hoops

    At 31:08 you could have pitched Izoni to Phyrexian Tower to avoid them copying it

    18:48 It's most likely because of the blue eldrain common land or brainstorm rather then deck thinning.

    • @MTGJosh
      @MTGJosh  7 місяців тому

      Yeah fair point

  • @dinklebob1

    I think you think the Fetches are for thinning the deck of lands? That benefit is minuscule, but mono U has plenty of Brainstorm effects and scrys. Fetches provide the ability to shuffle your library on demand which is huge. Normal people absolutely run fetches in mono U.

    • @MTGJosh
      @MTGJosh  7 місяців тому

      1 fetch makes an incredibly little difference. Brainstorm makes very little difference and is overrated.

    Been waiting to see this deck, really need to learn how to play golgari better than what I already do.
    Don't know which one I prefer of the izoni yet

    • @MTGJosh
      @MTGJosh  7 місяців тому +1

      It's a bit tricky indeed.
      I think this one is much more complicated so will require more brainwork but the last one is kinda go wide strategy and easier to manage

    I find Izoni very good, but she doesnt seem to get played so much because of a few reasons. One being her mana cost of course, since decks try to play either super fast with ramp and damage, or play the value or control focused game. Izoni needs a lot of set up to properly emphasize her benefits because shes inheritly more difficult to play by herself , which i like. The other reason is probably due to not being able to completely change the game when she hits the board, unlike the more popular commanders we see.
    Overall, she's too balanced is her problem, which is a sad. Still want to try her out becauss i love golgari tokens (mainly due to Moldervine Reclaimation)
    Third reason she doesnt see play might be due to Farewell absolutely destroying her

      Yeah all valid points. My stance is, everything has it's place and your happiness should come before anything else. Do as you please 🙂

    Oh dear! Opponents with slow player syndrome?!?! Yeah that's rough, especially if they're playing meta too

    • @MTGJosh

      Some people just play like they're the king of the word and deserve to have all your time. In real life this rarely happens so it saddens me that digital brings out the worst in people 😭
