good heavens! i remember her performing this on the 5.5 weeks tour before Venus was released, having no idea what this song was, then repeating that ending tune nonstop in my head so i wouldn’t forget it, and then madly searching the album for this song only to find the recorded version was quite different. this live performance has stuck in my head for years, and so glad to find this! agree with others who have said this NEEDS to be released. has it??

And the album wasn’t even released yet-first time I’d ever heard it! Didn’t even know the name. Usually you tolerate the new songs on a tour til you get to know the album. But I was floored by this.

I think what you may hear as sounding familiar was some of the 🎵used in ”The Rocky Horror Picture Show“ in the melodic form @this juncture of the song. Outside of being a coinkidink this was what I could come up with, not meaning to step on anyone’s toes😇.
An improv-part that she played in 99 live. She does that often - enhance songs live. iieee from that time is also roughly double as long as the album-version. Amazing!
