@@slimsautomotiverepair8714 I’m going to start out with an oil change since I’m pretty low on it and it’s about that time due for it. I have both the P3400 & P3497 codes on, from what I’ve been reading online, many indicate to start with the oil levels first but thanks man! 👍🏼
@@slimsautomotiverepair8714 So I got my oil changed yesterday, cleared the codes afterwards. This morning, the check engine light came back on, I scanned it and the code P0430 came up but only that, the other codes from yesterday are gone. I’ve been getting this code on & off for the past few months, “Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold Bank 2”. Any ideas what could be causing this??
@@JesusGonzalez-ft7ec it could be caused by an intake leak to an exhaust leak running rich or lean. At the risk of just throwing parts at it and not having the car with me to diag I would recommend an O2 sensor if you have access to a bore scope pull out O2 sensor and scope the cat check for broken or clogged catalyst
i'm facing this problem right now... Before replacing the sensor do you think it's valid try to cleaning the gasket and the sensor itself? could it work?
@@willianwfb You can spool valve basket with after market ( Mahle or Amazon ) includes filter screen. The gaskets leak on alternator & destroy it! Honda doesn't sell gasket. Only complete spool valve. Usually you don't need to touch the bottom section just the 3 bolts to remove two gaskets & plate. Do Not over tighten easy hand tight & torque. To hard will smash gasket & cause a leak..
I have this code on a 2011, my tech replaced this sensor with two new ones. One from autozone and one from advanced auto. Driving home after the second new sensor the car went into limp mode again and threw the p3497. What else could be the cause of this problem? My tech replaced the valve cover with an aftermarket unit because it was leaking oil, which caused a high idle situation. So, he pulled thatc over and put on a genuine honda cover and that is when this issue started. It ran fine before that! :) Any help would be appreciated!
Vvt oil pressure sensor I am not able to give a part number until I get back to my shop on Monday I am currently out with an injury. Oriellys carrys these sensors in stock and it is the same part for both left and right banks
You are to kind I could only hope the whole country would watch so I could go back to my shop and make more content to help more people. I did not change the o ring as it was not swollen or degraded to the point of needing one on that particular job
Check the rear differential fluid and the corresponding differential fluid temperature sensor. When the differential fluid is low or sensor corroded or failed, the ecm will disengage the vvt system and cut out bank 2 as a means to protect the all wheel drive system and differential.
Nice thanks for the info.

@sethgross1989 will this cause rough driving / idling?
