- Starting the 7th day of our Cross Country Motorcycle Trip on September 1, 2022, we begin our day in Reno, NV. A short ride later, we finally make it to the California border. We ride SR 44 all the way to Redding, CA where we stop for lunch at In N Out. In the afternoon we ran into our share of smoke as there were wild fires in the area. We made our way to coast stopping in Eureka, CA for the night.

“That’s on the diet plan” that made me lol. Need some carbs to refuel after that ride and the marathon the day before. I can’t believe how bad the visibility was. There’s a point where you come to a junction on the left with a grey car waiting and you seriously can’t see the car until you’re almost past it.
Nice scenery, when you could see it! Haven't had the opportunity to try In N Out, I hear they're really good. Like the Jameson shirt, Angela!
Thanks for the ride and video. Happy New Year
Happy New Year Jim!
My throat was burning looking at the smoke. Nice ride otherwise! Its been a really awesome adventure.
Smoke was terrible
With all that smoke I was waiting to see some fire in the background and I was waiting for Angela to say Sh#t Happens when you told her it was on the road. Forrest Gump would have. Thanks.
2022 wildfires were not a severe as previous years. Fortunately we're currently receiving higher than normal water this winter. Happy New Year
Dang. Reminds me of when I did the TAT summer of 21. When we left Oregon headed back to NC we spent 4 hours in smoke that varied from dense to thin. We ended up wetting our bandannas and covering our mouths. Lasted all the way into Idaho. Made that leg not very enjoyable to say the least.
Great video Mario, smoke looked insane!
Thanks. And yea…it was pretty gnarly
Good content, thanks for your filming and editing! Not always easy or fun.
I need to do a trip at the same pace. It seems that my rides are more about getting to the location within certain timeframes.
Time to ride for the enjoyment.
Coming from the east coast, it’s a mix for us; Sprint thru the Midwest but then slow it down once we get out to the areas we want to enjoy.
@@2WR I'd love to although I'm not only on a different continent, I'm in a different hemisphere and drive in the other side of the road.
I'm in Australia. The planets need to align for the time off.
Maybe one day - never say never.
My rides are more for long distance challenges or a day ride with mates to a place for lunch. Taking time off work to holiday on the bike is something I haven't done for quite a while. This year maybe.
What a beautiful section of road! Too bad about the smoke and fires, but those views and roads look fantastic! I’ve never gotten to that area but this sure makes me want to get out there. Thanks for sharing it.
I swear it sounded like you farted as you were rolling up to In n out 😂.
Great trip guys.....All the best from Canada! Thank you :0)
To bad about the temperature being so high, otherwise another great day of riding.
Unfortunately the temps get even hotter over the next few days of the trip. That said, still fun and not too bad early in the day.
Please tell me how you wear full gear when it’s 102 out?
Crack open the vents and stay hydrated
@@2WR that would still be hot as HELL!! Lol
