J.I.D and Earthgang both are part of the group Spillage Village they've got some great stuff. Don't even need to react just think you'd like their music.
On spotify they show the copyright at the bottom of the album and it says that J.I.D. is on Greenville and EARTHGANG is on spillage village, did spotify fuck up and that's just a rap group or is it actually a label?
Earthgang and J.I.D met in college through a friend who was recording music for both acts and J.I.D heard him mixing a Earthgang song and recorded a verse on it, then they heard it and were like NEW FLOW, WHO DAT? and it was a wrap *SPILLAGE VILLAGE was born.*
Earthgang is strapped with that wordplay and his lines about people adopting that hood nigga notoriety cuz its true people talk the talk but when its time to walk the walk they are nowhere to be found. J.I.D also went in on this and he brought his unique style into it which is great to hear. All in all dope song all-around great work Lost In Vegas.
Johnny Venus slayed this. Y'all gotta go back and really listen to his verse. He says "I sent comets to the Earth, I was humming at your birth. I put colors on the spectrum, I let you assign them worth" He's talking about the so called black race as the original people. From our genes all other races came into existence. That might be the sickest line in the whole song. Peace!
Really? I depicted it a different way. “I sent comets to the Earth, I was humming at you’re birth.” (God creating the Earth and creating humans or originating the human race) “I put colors on the spectrum, I let you assign them worth.” (God created multiple people of all different colors, but WE as PEOPLE give those colors WORTH.
Damn near broke my mouse when I saw "Earthgang". They are super dope as well. Dreamville team is strong. Y'all will also like Bas and Cozz from Dreamville. Keep it up! #FreeThinkers P.S. - Robots EP just dropped by Earthgang yesterday. First two songs on the EP super dope. Whole thing actually.
I’ll be real honest. I’ve been listening to hiphop since it was called “rap music”. My first vinyl I ever purchased was Raising Hell when I was 8. I believe we’re witnessing the beginning of the rise of one of the top MCs. Period. JID has a flow that is unique. His lyrics are pure poetry. He seems to be surrounded by other top talent and they’re changing the direction of hiphop. I’m excited to see what happens next.
Definitely love when you guys break down the lyrics! JID is the GOAT! Earthgang is so dope and they all just pure and real. Much love and respect to them and to YOU for shouting out these young legends.
You guys never fail to put me onto new artists! Crazy people already say i know every song you guys are just building my arsenal! Lol! Thanks for the great reactions! You guys kill it
I love your reaction videos, because it lets me see you guys react to the stuff that got me into metal, and as enjoying hip hop as much as I do, you let me discover stuff I’ve never heard. Thanks guys!
fun fact: Mac Miller was the first person in the industry to reach out to earth gang. did a record, shouted them out and didn't want anything in return.
Love the reactions!!! Great to see people willing to listen to new styles of music! Keep the reactions coming. I'd like to see you do: Uncle Lucius, "Keeping the Wolves away" Arron Watson, "July in Cheyenne" or "Barbed Wire Halo"
Started watching these vids cos you were reacting to my favourite metal songs, and delighted to see your reactions were the same as mine when I first heard them. I was totally ignorant of rap and hip hop but it's a pleasure to learn about and hear this new stuff alongside other unbiased free thinkers. Thanks Lost In Vegas!
I genuinely think this guy is going to make it to some kendrick level shit as long as he keeps getting the recognition he deserves. He has the talent, personality and the attitude to get there
I'm just gonna say it now cause it's bound to happen very soon. Congratulations on hitting 100k! Your content is amazing and all i ask is LostInVegas keeps providing. I remember you both said it's not about the money but it looks like you're gonna be doing UA-cam fulltime at some point in the future. This is just the first milestone of the many that are to come. Again congratulations!
I just heard this song for the first time because of yall and I'm loving it! And y'all should try "church" by the earthgang as well it's a new release this year and it is an absolute bop.
Yay I’ve been waiting on this. So happy you were able to get around to this request. And I agree, they are a breath of fresh air. Congratulations on 💯k+ Subs👏🏾
Hey Lost in Vegas, I love your channel and I am a metal head/classic rock (type of guy, but watch all of your videos). I admit that some of the rap stuff I can't get through the whole thing. Yet there are times like this that I do. If the lyrics have a meaning, like this one I can see the meaning in them! I like how you guys break down the lyrics, because without that I wouldn't of even understood what was being said! Just wanted to give you props for a GREAT channel and look forward to future videos and being introduced to new stuff that I ordinarily wouldn't listen to! Keep up the good work of getting music out to those who wouldn't ordinarily listen to a type of music! Because it seems that you like lyrics that have meaning, you may want to give Rush:Freewill a listen. It's lyrics have deep meaning and I think that you will like the song, oh and it's classic rock. Keep up the good work!
Listen to 46 & 2 by Tool. It's one of their best songs and a nice transition into Tool's music. Every member in Tool is at the top of their game. The drummer, Danny Carey, drums as if he has six arms. They are the perfect mix of melodic and hard.
Oh damn almost 100k fellas Keep up the good work Fuck all those silent "reaction"'channels who don't give insight in what they feel from the song they just listened too.
Haven’t seen anyone do any Devin the Dude reaction vids. He tells stories with humor and vivid imagery over blues influenced tracks. A couple of tracks off the top of my head are “Right Now”, “Boo Boo’n”, “Show’em”, “Cutcha Up” & “Who’s That Man, Momma”
loving the videos guys keep them coming I was thinking you guys could maybe do whole album reviews that would be awesome but on another note you guys should check out boogie- nigga needs
Yooo. Found you guys today and I'm obsessed. I love how you guys take the time to break down the songs and figure out their meanings. On that note, I would love it if you guys would react to Melanie Martinez. She's more of a pop artist with a dark twist and deep meanings. Songs of hers I think have the most depth behind them would be Cry Baby, Dollhouse and Mrs. Potatohead. A little more information on her as an artist. Every song in her album is the next part of a character named "Cry Baby's" story. Her physical album, rather than having the boring paper on the back with the number on the CD and what song, has an illustrated picture book for each song that helps portray the story. She made a music video for each song and is the star of each one and directed them. She really cares about music as an art form rather than a money platform and thats what I love about her. Her next album is going to be released as a full move rather than a music video for each song it will be a movie with every song in it. She is strsight up a real artist. Please give her a shot :)
I came to your channel for the metal reactions. Thanks for turning me on to some real shit to listen to. I really only know bigger artists like Lil'Wayne and Kid Cudi or Kanye and I feel stuck in 2008. Who else is worth checking out in this area of hip-hop?
Hi again guys first i want to say i really like your videos.. You make a really nice couple of friends, and your reactions are very nice and honest. Chile loves u both
I don’t usually like this style of spittin’ words out that fast but it’s well produced and the lyrics are really interesting... I just can’t get into his voice, which shouldn’t be as important in hip hop but this dude does sound like he’s natural lyricist! Dudes got talent, just maybe might lack main stream appeal.
At this point if someone is signed to Dreamville i'm just going to assume they're dope because J.Cole knows talent
Lol! Exactly!
J cole isnt going to sign anyone he wouldn't listen to personally
I don't like him but his artists goddamn, they're on another level
Google não deixou eu colocar um nome maior que esse why you don’t like cole world?
@@evanfrm214 I have no idea, the only criticism I can think of is that he can't choose instrumentals for shit
You know when George makes that face as if you just smelled some nasty dumpster juice, the song is fire.
😂
Adolphe L. I LOVE that face. Cracks me the hell up.
hahahahah i cant deal
lmfao i love how as j.i.d gets further along in his verse, georges stank face gets even more intense

saw J cole last night and earthgang and JID did this for the warm up.. they were sooooooo sick live

BTW "Everybody wanna be a N*****, but nobody wanna be a N****" is a quote from Paul Mooney when he was on Chappelle Show.
Yeah, that phrase has been floating around for a while.

JID D/Vision ft Earthgang and JID 8701 ft 6lack please
Changename D/Vision was one of those songs I didn’t enjoy at first that eventually turned into one of my favorites. That last verse is so clean.

I requested this a few times, thanks for getting around to it. Amazing videos, I'm a fan for life!
Division by J.I.D & Earthgang is probably their best collab to date. Produced by J.cole, react that next please
JID is a monster and Earthgang is by far the most under rated group in hip hop. EG has been dropping quality since I first heard about them in 2014.
