I have a MG4, drive a Toyota RAV hybrid for work, I am very happy with the MG the running cost still long way cheaper to run than the RAV ( get about 5.5 Kl per 100Kl )

this AU$30,990 driveaway is not a set in stone price, you can go to your MG dealership and meet the infamous ‘sales- manager’ and you can negotiate the price down further. AU$26,990 driveaway for a brand new MG4 51 should be do’able if one is an above average negotiator

Would be great if you could get that price. As I said in the video I have seen it for around the $27,000 mark and that was probably from dealerships trying to offload their cars possibly before a new model comes out

@@tjarlzquoll9835 people have made videos and also some of the comments in the bEV community videos. but you have to be an above average negotiator and know how to handle a sales-manager, they won’t just as soon as you walk-in sell it for $27,000 driveaway, you will probably have to negotiate in-store for 1 hour to 1 & half hours to get that extra $4,000 discount

Today I'd have bought it! I almost did a year ago. Excellent vehicle. I was after an MG4 long-range 77, and the battery in it was not LFP. And for that fact, I didn't buy it. LFP for me is the must-have. Today I have it in my Seal. Buyers in AU now -- are spoiled for choice. Greetings Nigel.

The key for me is that MG is setting the pace for price. Others can only follow and that is a great thing. Hopefully a few more will wake up and start offering lighter and cheaper EV's.

I think the new 10 year warranty has a 160,000klm limit, no longer unlimited. I love my Excite 51 bought 12 months ago, travelled 53,000klm trouble free motoring.

10 Year warranty is good on paper as long as MG the brand survives in Australia for 10 years.

True but they are owned by a large Chinese company so I have every expectation they will survive

@@grumpyoldmanandhisev it really depends on whether the Chinese government subsidies are going to continue, plus their business model making money or not. Currently, they are losing money per car sold without the subsidies. It is not entirely about survival. It is about whether they can turn it into profit. if they can't and the Chinese government cutting the subsidies, they will likely just fold it.

I love the look of MG4. It's a shame that its base model with LFP batt doesn't have 360° cam.

New model electric cars are coming to the Australian market next year. These new brands will have more range, faster charging speeds, etc. Prices will drop even further.

Did Nissan also slash the leaf pricing in Australia? In NZ they took $32000 off it (now $30000). Anyway, I don't have an EV yet so its interesting to see the prices falling like crazy
