- A father of seven who was gunned down on the Fourth of July was honored Saturday night during a candlelight vigil. The vigil for Jaret Mays was held on the corner of Lenox and Linville on Detroit’s east side. His family and friends wanted to honor him in the neighborhood he called home.

There are scores of "guys " out here that won't take care of (1) child, won't work in a pie factory eating pies to get paid, yet this young man made sure that he had stable & profitable 0:06 employment to be able to not just care for his children financially, but emotionally as well so don't try to bash him bcoz of how his kids came to exist, they loved him and he did the things in to be an exceptional dad & human being! How about that young man worked extremely hard to care for his children... The state dayuuum sure didn't have to do it... He had his nursing degree, worked for Chrysler and operated a small business of his own that's how he lived & took care of his kids! See that's what REAL CARING PARENTS do when they love their children, they do exactly what's necessary... He wasn't some "deadbeat" that's for certain
