I just discovered this video, have you thought of using XT60 connectors? You wouldn't have to worry about the live contacts touching each other and it would be impossible to hook it up wrong.

Are those 24V Kobalt batteries replacing 12V stock batteries? If so, just wondering if any other components need upgrading to handle the increased voltage?

Never had an issue on stock components outside of a worn out motor after hours of use. I upgraded the motors to 24vmotors and it’s been smooth sailing
