So many people say these radiators don't fit or line up easily. I'm just getting ready to install mine, did yours fit easily because the thermostat housing wasn't bolted down and allowed the wiggle room?
Yes, which is probably what helped it to be honest. The nut has been broken on the frame for the thermostat for years but it honestly helps a lot with removing radiators lol but everything else lined up perfect with no issues
Hello Bud I have question sir.. I have same bike Raptor 660r 2001 .. my bike is throwing out the coolant I don’t know from where when it runs after couple minutes later / I got notice too the Fan Radiator is not working as well .. so what can I do sir ?? 1- Coolant is dripping after bike runs … 2- Can radiator is not spinning ( working ) Hope you can give me a hand to find out the issue thanks
It's hard to tell when I cannot see it for myself where it could be leaking from. Usually it comes from a hose clamp that is not tight enough or worst case scenario, it's coming from the "weap" hole on the bottom of the water pump. I usually track down leaks by letting the bike run, follow the leak path until it get's dry, and it usually will tell you in the general area where the leak is coming from. Just make sure to clean the bike first so it'll be easier to tell where it's coming from. For the fan, I would unplug it and check the fan with a multimeter and see if you have any resistance. My fan went out on me and I did not know it, I just happened to check it and it had no resistance. If it does have resistance, then the temperator switch may be bad (it's what turns the fan on)
Ah never mind I found it it’s a hot rods rebuild, but I just purchased a 660 today and it bogs out from 3 4th and 5th, they said it sat for a while does it need a new carb ? Or could it be anything else
How do you know if your oil pump is bad on your 660? I just got one and at low idle it sounds good but when the rpm's go up it starts to sound like there's some noise up top.
Sorry for the late reply, UA-cam has gotten to the point where it has stopped giving me notifications for comments..... there is a bolt on the head where you can check the "oil pressure", it's on the right side of the head and has a Philips head on an 8mm hex head bolt. You can take that out and then start the engine and it should spew/squirt oil out of it. Granted it will make a mess but it's an easy way to ensure that the pump is working, or at least if it is weak.
Ever since I fixed my thermostat, fan, and went with a cometic top end gasket kit, I have yet to have an issue! Been on 5 long rides and rarely had the fan kick on, now with this new radiator I've yet to hear the fan kick on, definitely doesn't run near as hot
@@MR.450MXC yessir! I still plan on getting an entire rebuild in the future with a new crank/piston/jug but until then, this cheapo kit is still going strong lol
Mishimoto is about the only brand I know of that makes performance radiators that I know put in the work, I haven't researched or used anyone else's so I can't really give a comparison
@@mattwilson9293 it was all clean when it came out dont worry 😂 the engine ice said do not mix with other coolants so I wanted to flush it and all I had was that wells water
So running the quad and leaving the radiator cap off is that another way of bleeding it so there’s no air in it in the system

Where can I get the same radiator ?

Hey man I had a question what head gasket would you recommend for my 660r with a big bore kit
I would highly recommend a cometic gasket kit, they make kits for a 686 but I'm unsure if they do for anything bigger www.ebay.com/p/12016998834
I was watching some of your rebuilds, where do you get all your rebuild it’s at like the water pump one ?

Does the reservoir need to be full just bought one and it’s bone dry
The reservoir is checked cold so it should be full

How is the rebuild holding up have you done anything to the rebuild any problems?
