Amazing as always. I met Jessica at a DSD show in seattle , I'm from LA so not local at all. She was kind, easy to talk to and even welcomed me to the next show the following day at the sunset tavern for free, Put my name on the guest list. I'll never forget how cool she and the entire band was to everyone present. Down to earth, talanted, real musicians.
@@thisisdeepseadiver hi JD! any chance you can demystify your SPD-SX looping in "fantasy"? did you just catch the beat samples in the boomerang straight through your pedal chain, or did you divert signals some way? it just sounds so clean and perfect, but i can't imagine how to get both the guitar and samples into the boomerang as perfectly. thanks for your killer performance!
Great performance all around. I've always liked Jessica's voice and how she uses it, but her vocals in this performance are WOW!
Jessica is an amazing musician and keeps giving us outstanding lyrics, music, vocals, instrumentals, and arrangements. She is also a finely down to earth person. I watched her unassumingly go buy coffees for her and a band mate before a show last year in Waco, Texas (I drove up from Austin to avoid the SXSW insanity). No fancy makeup, clothes, or strutting - just a wonderful representative of the real power of womanhood. Can't wait for the album.
how has no one commented on the secret Björk mini-cover in the coda to "Primetime"??? amazing. such incredible musicianship all-around, and JD is a great human to hear from any day. thanks KEXP!

Any trio with Dobson would be a great trio! Cover selection stunning, but I liked “Switchblade” especially! Thanks fore the nod to Gore , I was born in 1946 as was Lesley, would have loved to hear Dobson’s guitar in the ‘60’s, it is soaring today!! Wonderful 1/2 hour!

Before even watching any of this, I quickly went to itunes to see if she has an album out and itunes returned a bunch of results of Jessica Simpson. You disgust and offend me itunes. I will never forgive you.
Her band is (The) Deep Sea Diver. They're on BandCamp. I don't know if they're on iTunes.

To Jessica Dobson. This is not to judge, this is not to downplay the actual great folks that are playing with you. I started to listening to you at a coffee shop when you played your acoustic stuff alone many years ago. The four songs you would play on repeat there on your own sounded so much better than anything you have put out playing in your band. I think it's great you found a band family and everything and your songs are cool but nothing was like the music you wrote and played before. I keep waiting for something to come like those songs. You have so much talent. your voice is unbelievable. Go back to the acoustic style of things. You are better than just doing covers of artist. You have it girl. I've seen it. Your acoustic raw stuff was fire. Sigh.
