Can't believe the difference the dart positioning makes, and that sweetheart neckline finishes the blouse off beautifully! Love your Molly! Mine's Bella! Thanks for this, Glenda.
Didn't that sweetheart neckline make the difference of the world? Simply things like this can really perk up a rather plain designs. Glad you enjoyed this! Kindly, Glenda
I'm brand new to sewing, but have been watching techniques here on UA-cam for months, and happily subscribed here. Something I learned today at surefit designs, which may be obvious to most, (LOL) is that we need to add our seam allowance before manipulating any dart! Thank you for the great heads-up!
Anne Catherine: Indeed best tutorials ever! I think it is important to learn not only the how but also the why of the action or change. Could you please explain the advantage of 2 French darts instead of only one larger French dart?
I am fascinated by how graceful and natural you engage the audience/class. I had to pause my project mid dart to watch this video. I feel confident in moving forward now. Thank you for taking your time and sharing your knowledge.
Hi Glenda, Jason here. I have recently begun to design and sew more advanced designs for my wife and daughter. I truly appreciate all of your videos and hope to both purchase the sure fit design stylus and training materials very soon. Until then, I look forward to watching all of your extremely well done videos. Thank you for sharing your wealth of knowledge, it truly is helpful to those of us who love to sew, but are still learning.
I absolutely love these videos the provide so much inspiration to try new and different techniques. The teaching method is so well paced and easy to comprehend. Wonderful visuals
I received my Surefitdesign kit yesterday and I am so excited to start learning and making well fitting clothes. Thank you so much for this easy to understand video.
Good to know this was of benefit to you. Keep us posted on your SFD Journey. We would love to see photos of your finished garments on on Facebook group page. facebook.com/groups/SureFitDesigns
Hi Glenda, I bought and already received the Pant Kit. So excited to try it. I dove in the minute I opened it. Amazing directions. It only took me an hour to make my pattern and cut my trial pant....can't wait to sew them together to see how they fit....thank you for this wonderful process...Oh ,PS...I've already ordered the Dress Kit...
Been sewing for years and nothing has really fit me very well. But I have been watching your videos and have learned alot. I have also purchased the Holiday block color blouse. But will be purchasing others near future. Thank you so much. I find your style/method of teaching very calm and rewarding.
Thanks for such a great amount of inspiration. I'll be getting the full dress kit very soon. I've been having a bit of trouble with a particular pattern, I'm an E cup size so I always have to do the FBA and wonder whether I'll be better off with designing my own garments with the help of the Sure Fit Design.
I find darts very intimidating so tend to avoid them whenever I can but with your clear, detailed explanation I should be able to do it. You are so good at explaining and demonstrating, thank you.
I think if you just give it a try...something simple at first. Maybe just move the bust fitting dart to the lower side seam location first. You'll see how easy this process really is. Kindly, Glenda
MADAM INSTRUCTOR--SUREFIT DESIGNS Just now watched yr video on DOUBLE FRENCH DARTS AND TRUING THE STITCHING LINE. I record my deep appreciation of this ecceedingly good video and how well u have explained and demonstrated the whole proceedure. All very well done including clear picturisation. Thanking you. vatsa India
Love you videos. They're very helpful and useful. Can you demonstrate manipulation of darts to create beautiful necklines. I saw a style that looks like a necktie using the manipulation of darts technique. Thanks much.
Best Ever Very Helpful videos. Clear instructions - so easy to follow --- . Just wonderfully helpful. Thanking you Glenda. From Wendy ---( West. Australia. )
live your videos ...each them all night and now too .....live your teaching you don't hide knowledge ....For benefit your brand ....your qualities legitimise your brand .. I live this french darts as I am plus size and ones somebody make for me them on outfits and they was so comfortable and my big boost look great ......love this french line on neck silts very flattering and don't show too much .
Glenda, I loved this video. Do you find that a large busted woman gets a better fit with the double french dart versus the single? With a large bust dart, would you ever need/want to put a portion of that dart in to waist dart before moving the waist dart into the lower french dart? I have just ordered my first SureFit product - the Dress Combo - and look forward to receiving it! Shawne
I enjoy your videos, is with so much clarity. I want to place a French dart on an A-line gown with no cut at the waist line. All I have been seeing is French dart on blouse. Please can you show me how to go about it considering the waist dart in place, I can handle the bust dart. . Thank you.
The lower curved French dart is cover on page 25 of the Dress Kit Instruction book. You can use it on a one-piece (no waist seam) dress. The Dress Kit can be purchased at www.surefitdesigns.com
@@surefitdesigns Sure will like to buy some of ur products. Am based in Nigeria and the logistics to get it down here is a bit challenging. However, if you have a video that covers it that will serve for now pending when airfreighting will start again. Tk u ma.

I certainly enjoy all of your videos! This was wonderful. Especially, the simple neckline change. I am going to try that on my next top. For some reason, I'm not getting notifications of your new videos. I know I am subscribed. Maybe I need to check a box or something. Hugs, Joy
Hi Joy, glad you liked this video. It was fun to make. Also, for some strange reason, I am not receiving notifications when comments are made about our videos...and I used to. Sometime when I have more than 5 minutes, I'll have to poke around at the settings. Kindly, Glenda
If tracing paper is hard to find or is too expensibe, a cheaper alternative is to use parchment paper. Parchment paper is what it is called in Canada; I think in other places it is also called "kitchen paper" or "baking paper". I buy it from Costco in double packages of 50 meters each. Very inexpensive.

There is no advantage per se - it's simply a design option.
I love the way you teach me it's clear and understandable

@hoda yassin - it's easier for manufacturers to not put darts in clothing - they make clothing for speed and lower prices, not for good fit.
Hi I enjoyed your video. When you did those manipulation to the blouse do I have to cut the side a little wider
No, just follow what I've shown to do.
Thank you very much for this clarification it made different in me
