Joeliza Kanoy - the neck point number is your bust circumference number. This measurement number is used at CF neck point, neck point on the shoulder line, shoulder point, underarm point and bust grading series of dots.
Hi Glenda I have purchased your Dress kit. watching this video I like to ask you that when you draw the centre line taking bust circumference then you marked dot on neck, shoulder and other more. What measurement you did mark? I mean example you showed 42"/106.6cm from centre line to straight. is that same measurement you dot on neck, shoulder and rest.
Hi Glenda, I love you videos they or so helpful Just one request could you do one video for petite women with menopause shape(a bit of a bully).Thank you Eve..
eve1753 - that's an excellent suggestion. I'll add it to the growing list of what my customers would like to see. In the meantime, I do offer an article on this topic of curving CF for a protruding tummy. It's found here - www.sfdlearningcenter.com/Pants-CurvingCenterFront.html
Is there anyway I can get all this master pattern? From,,, pants, dress, tops ect. Please I can buy and posted too. I live in Australia. I’m not good on sawing. But, this is good for me to start playing with the Master pattern please Thank you very much
I am wondering why the across front and across back measurements are not required. As I am somewhat round shouldered, I am quite broad across the back and narrower across the front. How would I adjust the pattern for this ? Thanks.
Hi Glenda. After making the muslin the back was a little snug the armholes were in the correct position in line with shoulder seams and sideseams were ok. I let out the back seam by 1/4 “ and all was good however , I am not sure if this was correct thing to do as all the rest fitted fine and shoulder length was good so why did the back seem too tight. I rechecked all measurements before cutting out. I am not broad shouldered 🤨😟

I think this measurements is for your own understanding. not for us to learned. because you keeping putting dot and line. And yes, you tell us what is that for. but question is... where did get or how did you come up to that measure.
In the instruction book, the first dot you place is for the 'full bust measurement.' Then in the subsequent dots, it says, 'bust circumference.' But we didn't take any measurement called 'bust circumference.' Without the video, it would not be clear that 'full bust measurement' and 'bust circumference' mean the same thing. I was flipping pages back and forth trying to figure out if 'bust circumference' might have been the measurement taken before you lower your arms - the point in the measuring video when you say you get a bit more volume with the arms down than with them stretched out. Then watching the video and seeing the number written in pink on the pattern, I worked out that the two different 'measurements' are in fact the same thing. Good instructions have uniform terms; the language shouldn't change there. Also, did I miss the instructions for what to do if you do not find your measurement on the pattern? For example, if your bust size is exactly 120 cm, do you go up to 121.9 cm, or down to 119.4cm? I went up, because I'd rather have that tiny bit more ease than less.
Hey, me too! My full bust measurement is 36.5 inches. I didn’t find or hear instructions on what to do if your measurements are not on one of the dots. So I figured I was supposed to either round up to 37 (which I did) or down to 36. Same for my waistline measurement of 30.5, for which I chose the 31 inch dot. But after some correspondence with Glenda regarding my waistline and the ease, she said I shouldn’t have used the 31” dot, I should’ve made a 30.5 dot. So, you’re supposed to make a dot in between the measurement dots provided. I swear I didn’t find or see where this was explained. Maybe it’s intuitive, but I felt I was supposed to pick a given dot
I love SFD I'm now able to design my own clothes, and guess what I'm 62 and never have sewed much in my life until now thank you very much SFD!

Yes, the bust measurement circumference dot is what you use all the way around up to the Bust Grading Series of dots.

Surefire designs Australia sells the master pattern kits.
There's a separate kit each for pants, dresses and shirts- they are not all in one kit.
