I believe we all fight it! We remember when we were young and how much fun we had and never want it to go away. Though we have to show the world and our children how we are responsible grown ups but if they only knew what we are thinking. Those days are not gone they are locked inside of us and we hold the key 🤔 wondering what if.
Max has rocked my life since I first saw the video for Inner Self... that voice.... something about that growl gets me up and jumping around every time even 20 years later
when i was 11 i stumble upon a "dead embryonic cells" single cd and i knew i was in for life, im 29 years old now and ive been a huge fan of max cavaleras music since
He looks so honest and easy going. You can easily tell that he loves music and enjoys what he does. That is why when you go to a Soulfly show is all an experience!
+Robert aguilar I saw them recently in Manchester, UK, and it was probably one of the best concerts I've been to. I wish I could see him reunite and play with Sepultura though.
Awesome. Interesting interview. Great to hear Max talking about refusing to grow old. Same here. I'm going to be 40 next year and even though my body and my life have changed, I still feel the same as I did during the days of my youth. Long life, health and well wishes to Max.
Long years pased and Max still growling and screaming like a fucking beast. A lot of younger metal singers have their vocal cords fucked up or they are giving up.
Alcohol and drugs may be a reason why Max has aged the way he has. In recent months he's started to look in better condition but I've seen first hand through relatives how alcohol can affect you.
Finally a good interview...usually everybody ask same shit. A true honest thoughts revealing which I wanna know science I was a kid....why he left Sepultura etc....back then around 97' I heard was because his wife wasn't accepted as a manager or so. Whatever, very good useful interview
I put my ands in every single cd that I had seen that max is and its a lot counting sepultura, soulfly and other's..'its one of the reasons I tattoo a soulfly symbol in me...so many years listening that guy and bands influenced by max that it becomes part of me SOULFLY TRIBE
Grew up with Sepultura and am the same age as Max. Stopped drinking 15 years ago. So, i think, he stopped drinking to late. The brain gets damaged for sure. After seeing the interview it's sad to see what the alcohol made of him. Met them after every concert i attended back in those days. He made jokes about drinking and we laughed.
the Big 4 - should boot out Anthrax and put Sepultura in! they were the only band in my opinion to be more aggressive than SLAYER - all the death metal around- still doesn't have that aggression like Igor and Max
Leaving Sepultura was the best decision for everyone! The fans got two great bands now. New talented musicians got the light they would probably never get (Eloy C., Derrick G., Marc R., Joe N., Roy M.) Sepultura could reach other persepctives with Andreas at the wheel of the ship, now. Max also could try new territories with Soulfly wich got popular as well.
HAHA Don't Lie Max..You know you still smoke a shitload of weed...But thats ok since most people don't consider that a drug anyways ;) I am one of those who really wants to see Killer be Killed Live!!! \\m//
Nargathron666 I saw Soulfly last year in Stafford CT..Really small Venue... The smoking section was out back on these strange catwalks and the dressing room was right next to us...When the door opened a HUGE plume of weed smoke came out of the dressing room and out stepped Max Cavalera...When I walked past him I got to say whats up to him and trust me, He wreaked like weed..Granted I did not smoke with him but I did get to smoke with Zyon before the show (which I didn't know was him until he got behind the kit at the beginning of the show ) So I can't say for sure Max Is a burner but at the very least he has no problem being around it...I just assumed he burns also if his son does
Its sad that music dont sell anymore, the musicians get no money because verybody loads teh music free from the internet.....I think you can only make money from live gigs not that much but more then from cd selling.

Max is such a nice down to earth fella! Speaks from the heart.

ClassicGameVault It's pain and struggle coming through ravines in his throat carved by years of hate, people literally feel that shit
SinistrChevy aka StinkMeat rage would be a better word than hate

ViAaRo seen soulfly and cavalera conspiracy over a hand full of times and I swear each time I saw them the pure energy was greater than the last.
+Robert aguilar I saw them recently in Manchester, UK, and it was probably one of the best concerts I've been to. I wish I could see him reunite and play with Sepultura though.

That's the second youth, mostly of the 40s think like that
Hats off to Max here, what a great attitude he has towards doing an interview. Others should take note of how a true professional does it.
Very Bad Crisis Actors your user name and picture are gold
Thank You for Sharing your music with us! Good luck with your sobriety. One day at a time my friend.

Well done Max
You rocked offest 2001 Milton Keynes

I like Max, we were born at his same hometown, I didn't meet him, but I know he's a good person and he loves rock and roll!
Long years pased and Max still growling and screaming like a fucking beast. A lot of younger metal singers have their vocal cords fucked up or they are giving up.
I saw CC live a couple months ago, and when they came out they reeked of weed. He was also singing the songs in a super chill voice as well.
Great interview and you are a great interviewer. You let the dude talk unlike a lot of interviewers who interrupt every other sentence
Dude is so chill, that's cool!
Sou muito fã dos Cavaleras Brothers!!! Max and Igor...A história deles com a dona Vânia é fundamental para o Metal do Brasil...
Max is the best of the best \m/
Killer be killed was so good! Must have more!
Alcohol and drugs may be a reason why Max has aged the way he has. In recent months he's started to look in better condition but I've seen first hand through relatives how alcohol can affect you.
Oh yes trust me. Im 22 atm and look washed up af even though ive been sober for 3 months now.
Why would you dislike this video? I don't get it. Good for you Max.
Finally a good interview...usually everybody ask same shit. A true honest thoughts revealing which I wanna know science I was a kid....why he left Sepultura etc....back then around 97' I heard was because his wife wasn't accepted as a manager or so. Whatever, very good useful interview

Boot Metallica, too. Insert Testament.
Ive always thought sepultura should be in the 4
Sepultura without Max? No thanks.

+tes420 Yeah... a SHIT TON of weed... LOL!
+Nargathron666 he is in pics wearing seedless shirts and shorts and 420 gear so....and he was open about it back in the day.
I'd rather see Nailbomb but that's no slight against Killer Be Killed.
I hope he does get that X tattoo for straight edge, people don't need that poison in their lives.
max the real sepultura
Alright Benighted!!!
Nice shirt!
Kmart and Target would probably take him anyway.
What is the song at the start sounds very familiar?
I bet max was into psychedelics tho. I used them in the psdt and see the psychedelic influence in soulfly
Horns is Maloik porra! MALOIK PORRA! DIO!
Don't quit smokin' pot Max, and I won't k?
Máx muito fodaa mesmo
Is he still doing that whole roman catholic thing?
Its sad that music dont sell anymore, the musicians get no money because verybody loads teh music free from the internet.....I think you can only make money from live gigs not that much but more then from cd selling.
Killer be killed sounds great
Horns Up, please, it's Igor, not Iggor...
What drugs ?
Cocaine
Thinking about getting a straight edge tattoo whilst being a weed smoker?
Doesn't work, Max.
Who said he still hits the bong? Dude is clean son. Long live MAX
Looks like bam margera...and even the name sounds like margera=cavalera
