There are more bacteria living in and on us than we have cells!!! The mitochondria inside our cells, the powerhouses of our cells, are actually foreign organisms and without the gut flora we would not be able to absorb nutrients and we would die!!!
Antibiotics destroy all the good besides the "bad" bacteria and hence destroy the immune system! They nearly killed me 9 years ago and l am still not healthy!

Speaking as an optometrist, I definitely wouldn't recommend using baby shampoo for blepharitis or your eye lids.
It strips your eyelids from their necessary oily expulsion. And throws off the tear film composition due to thr mild detergent.
There's products that are created for treating demodex or blepharitis.

And they are about $1 for a wipe. I use a 50/50 mixture of a carrier oil plus the same amount of tea tree oil. I saw a UA-cam video that suggested that this is less expensive than the wipes and the tea tree oil works better for me.

HYPOCHLOROUS ACID WORKED WONDERS for my daughters Demodex infestation. I’m not using that word lightly either. They were causing constant styes & chalzions on her eyes. Her lashes were falling out and then they caused her to have an awful red rash around her mouth. It would get itchy. I felt so bad for her. She was about 4/5 years old. Her eye dr reccomended the hypochlorous acid it helped so much. We’ve pulled back a lot on her eye hygiene routine and she hardly ever gets styes and no more chalazions. I would spray the hypochlorous acid on a few different cotton balls. One cotton ball per eye. And then one for around her nose and mouth where the rash was. She no longer has the rash and hasn’t gotten any bumps at all since we started using it.

Mites and conjunctivitis are two reasons I would give my students for not sharing mascara. Even though I was teaching Human Anatomy and Physiology, they would tell me they "bathe real good and don't have no mites" [sic]. When I tried to tell them we all have mites and bacteria as part of our microbiomes, they just wanted to argue and continued to share the mascara and other make up. 💖🌷💄👛

I was diagnosed in my mid-fifties with acne rosacea. I was actually relieved that my diagnosis wasn’t lupus. My family doctor thought I might scar. It was so severe, he wanted me to splash only water on my face until I could see a dermatologist. Sadly, I had to be on a wait list.
Fast forward to my appointment, my dermatologist walks in the room as says, “Acne Rosacea.” She told me most of her rosacea patients are fair and caucasian. She did a scraping and found demodex in excess of what is normal. She asked for me to be patient because it would take a long time to resolve.
I took oral minocycline for a long time. I was asked to only use my prescriptions on my face. I washed with Avar (now it is Plexion Cleanser), and I applied Soolantra. I was put on oral steroids, at first, for inflammation. I looked like a monster, and I didn’t leave home (except to see my doctors) for at least three months.
I’m almost sixty now, and my skin looks very smooth and clear. I use a gentle, fragrance-free cleanser and moisturizer with Shea butter and Niacinamide. Two or three times a week, I still incorporate the topical prescriptions - just to keep things in check. I haven’t needed oral antibiotics for a few years.
I kept a photo diary of this rosacea journey, and it’s difficult to look at. When I was younger and in ballet class, we would face the mirror for center work, and I had wondered why I was always red as a beet ...when nobody else was. I thought I just worked harder. I probably have had rosacea all of my life.
By learning how to improve my skin barrier (following Dr. Dray’s advice), my skin is in much better condition than before my diagnosis.
Sorry for this long story, but it has been quite a journey. If one works diligently, there is hope beyond this beast called rosacea.
Oh ~ And never forget your sunscreen! ☀️🌿

      @mockingbirdnightingale7169 3 роки тому +5

@@tashbrewster689 tea tree oil doesn't really help the skin barrier as far as I know. But demodex mites do not like tea tree oil. Repairing the skin barrier helps keep the skin healthy over the long term. I only used the tea tree oil for a very short time under my dermatologist's direction. She also had me on antibiotics and antifungals to prevent infection because my skin barrier was so weakened at that time. Gradually I healed and now I look like anyone else. However when it was severe I was unable to leave the house because it was so disfiguring. There are various things that can cause rosacea; but if your rosacea is caused by demodex, there are many who have successfully treated it with the antiparasitic approach!

I ended up solving the problem by watching my face every night and applying a mixture of tee tree oil and colloidal silver. during the night demodex have a party in the surface of the skin and when they die inside the skin it causes a reaction (redness). it took a couple of weeks to see improvement it got worse before it improved. that worked for me and i'm not saying it will work for everyone.

@@urperfect2mee depending on your skin but 3-4 weeks. It’s basically 2 life spans of these mites. It comes and goes though so it’s best to do the oil cleanse and second deep cleanse at night and put it directly on Clean skin. I use 1-2 peas size blobs and make sure it’s on all areas cos I noticed if I did it mainly the inflammation only it moved the inflammation over. The mites come out of the pores when it’s dark so put it on half an hour before sleeping. Then when you wake up wash your face straight away and use a oil free moisturise before sunscreen. If I’m sweating like after being outside or after gardening I wash my face straightaway. I use soap free wash and it’s not drying. Once or twice a week I use a chemical peel. Just to help with the mites and starve them of dead skin cells and sebum ha ha

In other words, I would like a searchable video that tells me what I should and should not be doing. I also have noticed that one inflammatory reaction can trigger another (allergic reaction can cause a migraine...ect). I also have to be on several antihistamines and those perpetuate my dry eyes. I also get "hair follicular pain" when my hair hasn't been washed for a couple days (I have curly and color treated hair, the recommendation is to wash less often). I saw a video of yours saying something about yeast building up, I tried the dandruff shampoo. It's too harsh of a soap for my color treated hair (strips the color). I wonder if it's truly the yeast or the mites like my eyes and face?

Thanks also for letting me know about the dangers of alcohol on aging skin! Sadly, I had finally found a great body moisturizer that I used on my face by Goldbond 10 hour Max it had hylaraulnic (sp) acid and melatonin and it did have chammomile for fragrance. skin SOAKED it up at night and in the morning it was still there. ANYWAY got to looking at the bottom of the ingredients list is ceta-alcohol !!!! So sad. I'm tempted to use it because it otherwise seemed to be so hydrating. It was almost the LAST ingredient. Doesn't this mean a very small amount used? Maybe just a little needed for drying purposeses? Anyway anyone or young ones who don't mind alcohol this is a great moisturizer IMO.

It’s Simple , demodex mites is the problem ALONE .
Every single day make sure you purchase tea tree oil wipes with Hyaluronic acid and chamomile extract and make sure aloe Vera is in it too . After a shower before bed EVERY single day use these wipes Monday to Friday and have the weekends off , Ofcourse if you are using makeup on Saturdays then it’s a must .
Also your gut determines your skin so fungal and yeast too much sugar Candida albicans you’ll need to apply this for the rest of your life .
One good thing for your gut is
    Wild Oregano oil
Fruits (1 serve a day) and vegetables plenty .
Cumin , turmeric , garlic , ginger are all great and also in particular rocket and fennel . Take it easy on any processed foods also ect salami , pizza , sausages , McDonald’s frappe or ice cream with syrups that are genetically modified with corn syrup , gluten is a big no ect .
    I hope this helps .

Ironically my fear of mentioning demodex mites is due to the fact the last time i went to the doctor and mentioned it...he immediately reached for the 'anti-psychotic' prescriptions...even though i've never been diagnosed with a psychotic illness nor do I display any such symptoms appart from daring to think I may have parasites.
But that is what the Uk NHS is like. I guess you get what you pay for in this case...the NHS is free and subsequently a lot of the doctors are trigger happy with prescription drugs as that's how the NHS makes its money!
I haven't been to see a doctor (GP) since...that was 4 years ago!
Subsequently I went to Moorefields Eye Hospital who immediately confirmed Demodex and offered Blepher Demodex as a treatment but it's for sale only and not available on prescription.

The NHS is the pits. I’ve got some stories. Honestly, people here wouldn’t know a decent medical system if it slapped them in the face. Ultimately, everything government touches turns to the pits. I’m terrified I might get something more seriously wrong other than a skin rash. No wonder people pay extra for private to avoid it and it’s mandatory for a reason. So good, it requires government force to exist. Anyway, sorry for the rant.
