An amazing wreck. I was 6 when this happened and remember the new reporting of it. The fact that the stern section traveled 5 miles further under power after the ship broke in half is amazing!
That’s an amazing and tragic story. The visibility looks amazing. Shipwreck dives always make me appreciate the past and how unforgiving life on the water can be. Such a great reminder to touch nothing while diving. Dive safe!
My cousin, John Groh, who is listed as missing, was on the Morrell when it sank. For years, after the wreck, his mother would receive phone calls asking for her by a nickname only the family knew. They traced the number to a phone booth in California. Family of his then went to where the phone booth was and showed pictures of John around the neighborhood and people said, Yes they had seen that man around there. One day the phone rang again and the man was told that the woman had died. The calls stopped then. We truly believe that he survived the wreck and that was who was making the calls. Nobody, besides close family members knew the nickname. He is now listed as dead.
@@BeckyKaganSchott Ambient sound of the dive equipment minus music if possible really pull the people watching into the actual diving experience in further...at least it works that way for me...Becky please do some with all the sounds in the water...pretty please?
@@wirelessone2986 I'm glad you enjoyed the sounds in the beginning. There are no sounds in the water in the Great Lakes. Maybe a freighter going by. I'm on a rebreather and there are no fish, no currents nothing. It's nothingness. The only sound you'll hear is my camera arms clinking or a tank banging against a clip. You may hear my breathing but thats all. No water sounds. I like ambient sound too but i think most viewers will not watch that. It would m ake my life easier and i wouldn't have to search for music ha
No se porque muchos piensan en como sacar el titanic que se hundió hace más de 100 años y está muy débil, pero no piensan en sacar del agua estos barcos que están en mejor calidad y mejor conservados 😐
The overhead nuts and bolts jars are definitely from an older generation,my grandfather had them above his head in his work shop.
Insane too that some of them don't even appear to have water in them.

Becky makes the best diving videos out there!
Thank you!
Truly incredible footage. I was in awe of the engine room. So incredibly sad so many men lost their lives during this wreck. Rip.
Stunning footage and preservation. The jars of screws almost look like some still have air in them, though it's hard to tell.
Another amazing video - as always !!
Thank you so much!
Your videos are spectacular Becky
Great quality footage and impressive camera handling skills
Thanks, it's taken a lot of years of experience to get to this point.
That is a beautiful video . Rest in peace to the crew
Respect! This is some serious diving!
That was excellent. That engine room was in amazing shape.
Wow, wonderful to see this. Thanks for sharing your adventures.
I have a lot of newly edited video to share soon!
Outstanding video photography!!
14 men rode that stern section for 5 nautical miles after bow broke off and sank infront of them... what horror they must have endured before the end.
Great video Becky! It was Megtastic :)

How is the wreck laid out? I know it broke in half but how did it land?
amazing
How many people died on this ship?
I have it in the description but 28 men died. Only one survived. Sad story
Yeah that’s really sad

These ships are like swords if they brake youre doomed but they had a lot of battles to make them remarkable
