Great series Bryan. Really enjoyed watching. I agree, a 10" sluice with punch plate covering the length of it should do better. Anyway, you still made a nice little haul. Congrats on that 5.2 Grammer!!!
Brilliant my friend it's always good to watch you get the gold. Which ever way you get it. You are a professional gold getter. Outstanding Brian keep the videos coming.i love watching you do your thing. All the best.
There is one thing I see you've been doing all along, and that is that when you see a particle you start picking it up with tweezers. You have to put in a good sluice and trust that it will catch all the gold. As for the cold, you could put in a vacuum tube solar collector with a 100-litre water heater and a thermostatic mixer to keep the temperature at a pleasant 30 degrees. Then modify the suit to have a hot water inlet and a cold water outlet that will return to the heater. Of course, that means you'll need to carry two reinforced hoses with an internal diameter of 3/8" and about 40 meters or more in length to be able to reach the work area. And I don't know to what extent it's feasible for a single person. Anyway, the best thing might be a dry suit and thermal clothing to keep warm. I'll leave that for whoever wants to choose the best option. Greetings from Catalonia.
Enjoyed watching, Nice nugget there that’s awesome! I liked the gravity dredging I almost wonder if a narrow channel about 8 ft long would do the trick! Maybe about as wide as a Keene A51-A52 sluice, Given the right circumstances, it’s definitely very cost efficient mining!!
You could make a "Hill Billy Water Heater". A simple coil of copper or metal tube sitting over a small camp fire and a battery operated water pump plumbed to your suit.
Great to see you again! One thing... do you have a metal detector to check your tailings pile, seeing as so much is going through the sluice? Looking forward to your Nome trip videos! Stay safe and take care!!
Did the quick math, 10.6 grams minus 8.8 grams is 1.8 grams of gold that passed through the dredgeline onto your sluice. Thats about 1/6 of the total gold recovered. Thatll be improved with a better sluice but how important is the dredge to finding pickers and nuggets? Could you just go lite, no dredge, and snipe this river effectively?
Yes just snipping would work great in this particular creek, but i think with a smaller sluice I could recover some of the fines. Its not all that important to me to recover every speck. I just like getting out there and have a good time. It's not that important to me If I miss a gram or 2. I don't do river dredging to make money, just for fun!
@@AmericanGoldProspectorsCool that you save your nuggies too. I think you've got a great start on a gravity dredge though. Really cool, simple design. For the right spot, with sufficient gold and drop, not needing a motor or fuel is brilliant. Being able to see the bubbles, having transparent tubing is a big improvement over other efforts Ive seen on the interzones. Awesome work B!
When useing your hose bryan what is best position for safety? Missionary or just bent over on your knees? Knee pads im sure important. This i mean when your penetrating the the mound or crevice of the hole.
You always make me nervous when you put your nuggets and flakes up on rocks and go back to find more. I just know I’d lose them to a breeze or something, lol
@@AmericanGoldProspectors yeah, I’ll keep you to that statement. I hope to meet up next spring and I’m going to watch. Of course I intend to beat you at the game!
@@MartyAlexander-c1g give it up dude. Enjoy the free videos and stop picking things apart. You have any idea how tough it would be to keep a Mic from getting drown while climbing in and out of a creek? He’s working with what he has and we’re lucky he uploads for us to enjoy.
Its hard to do good audio going from underwater to above water with a one man crew for dredging and filming with gopro. I'm just a real gold dredger who brings minimal filming equipment with me. Unlike other guys who are 100% about making videos and not real gold prospectors.
