The 2010 Acqua di Gioia in the old bottle was the best performing Aqua/Citrus perfume by far. It was definitely sweeter. Almost melon like yet still a very fresh marine scent on the skin. The dry down progressed into a slightly warm gourmand sugared water. The projection and longevity was insane! Lasted days on my clothing. The current one is still nice. It just seems to be a bit more sharper and almost smells like air freshener to me at times 😅 Sun di Gioia was also amazing too! It was a sophisticated and grown up creamy sun tan lotion type of scent. Tropical and ‘beachy’ but no coconut at all. Such a shame they discontinued it.
Ocean di Gioia is my favorite. It smells a bit shampoo-y, and very clean and pretty, fresh without smelling like citrus. I’m so sad if they actually discontinued it already.

Ocean Di Gioia is my new summer perfume. It reminds me of early summer morning, the feeling I get when I go outside in the garden next to the river to enjoy the morning sun. I get a little bit of salt, so I had to wear it when I watched The Little Mermaid on cinema. I think it fits the name, and I have to use it whenever I am with the lake, river or at the beach. Im sure this perfume later in life will give me good memories to good fun old summerdays.
The one that I want to Know is also discontinued: Sun, with my beloved frangipani😥. Big hugs from Havana! For sure Ocean is better for this hot weather, but I don´t complain about the first one, it feels great on skin!
The original is by far one of the best perfumes I have ever tried! I had the one in the older packaging for years, and then bought the new one and I haven’t felt such a difference honestly
Ocean doesn't seem to be discontinued, it's easily available where I am. Air is impossible to get in Germany. Terra, Sky, Light and Aqua are also all still available. Edit: Sky (in the new packaging) is available on some websites and the image of the old bottle is being used on other sites. So I'm unsure if it's the old version or new version they're selling on these sites.

I just purchase the aqua de Gia perfume since it was half off at Ulta. I really wanted the Ocean version, but the green one is very close. I really like the lightness of the two scents. I’ve purchased the men’s cologne of these for my sons. Great scents from Armani

Terra and Acqua are two of my favorites in my collection. I was on the fence about Terra until I smelled it on a sweater I had worn the day before and thought, what is that amazing smell? I find it similar to Valentino Donna Acqua.

I have Ocean di Gioia. I live in a country where the summers are hot, since it's not that warm yet, I tried it the other day and it was a little too much for me, it even made me sneeze and have a slight headache. It smells nice, I'll give it a shot in the summer.

I really love a blend of white florals but from the color yellow and the name "Light" I never thought that one was white florals. I never even gave it a second glance, because I thought it would be beachy and/or lemony. Now I'll have to give it a try. Also, long ago I was gifted a sample of Gio, liked it a lot, and went out to buy it. But I couldn't find it because the new Gioia range was being heavily promoted and none of the ones I tried came close to being anything like Gio. I finally found Gio again (many, many years later), but by then I'd found others that I like just as well, (thanks to Soki, yay! 😁) and some of them last longer, as Gio is/was a toilette. Gio is definitely still on my wish list, but now at a much lower priority.

For the price I would like something that lasts longer and doesn’t smell indistinguishable from laundry soap. And do you find people gravitate towards white or yellow florals? I tried Philosophy field of fliers Peony blossom and it was a very cold sharp strong overwhelming almost nauseating, and I’m not sure why because supposedly men love white florals, but not my husband - maybe this profile doesn’t work and I need sweeter. You mentioned humid climates, good point - I’m in dry Colorado.
I would like to see reviews of perfumes that are more mature than the gourmand, sweet fragrances that perhaps is better for young girls/women. I really like ambery, woody florals, like Hermes eau de marveilles, twilly, j'adore, chanel 5.. Thank you.

The light di gioia has been one of my all time favorite scents! I’m already on my third bottle. I just wish their was a similar perfume. Most perfume end up smelling like soap on me after an hour of wear.

There used to be a Sun as well, I have never smelled it before, but a friend of mine kept saying that she had that one but got rid of it because it went bad, and now she misses the scent so much but can’t remember what it smelled like😢

I lean towards deep, rich scents, but now that I live in a somewhat tropical climate I "need" (LOL!) more refreshing scents in my collection. I think I may try Ocean next. Also, have you ever been to the famous pharmacy, Santa Maria Novella in Florence? It would be great for you to do a review of their range and history sometime in the future.

Anything with the word "fresh" in it gets my immediate attention.
Air did not work with my skin chemistry at all. I enjoy the ocean one :) pear is one of my favorite fragrance notes.
Terra means earth in italian, indeed the best translation in this case is "land", and in fact "Terra di Gioia" translates as "Land of Joy".
