My wife wore this fragrance on our wedding day, so it will always hold a special place in my heart. So many memories from this fragrance. She doesn’t wear it as much nowadays since her collection has grown quite a bit since, but it will always have a place in her collection.

I recently went on the hunt for a new signature scent since I will be entering my 30s. I really searched around for several months, ordering samples and reading reviews. I spent so much time at Ulta smelling every different perfume. And then... I bought another bottle of this. I think it was just destined to be my signature scent. I'm so glad you had nice things to say about it! 💕
I started wearing this perfume when I was in 9th grade, I’d carry her on roll on version with me at school and re-applied after every other period and every single person that got close to me that day would complement how I smell! I moved onto D&G Light Blue and Chanel Chance Au Fraiche but I’m now missing her a bit, might repurchase soon! I absolutely recommend it if you like something fresh and summery!

Actually Giorgio Armani Aqua di Gio for woman came out a year before the one for men. I know because I used to wear it in college, one of the first ones with the note of vodka. Look it up!

It's beautiful but it's fleeting, I spray heavily to make it last. Much better than regular Light Blue.

I do own a bottle of this and enjoy it very much. For me, it's subtle enough yet noticeable in a good way. It's sweet and gentle, if I may say so. It's youthful yet a mature woman can wear it with ease😊

You are mistaken, the original Aqua di Gio for women was released in 1995, the men’s version came in 1996. So the women’s was the first release. I know because I wore this perfume in my college days. The bottle you’re reviewing here is the new version, just like they redid the men’s version. The old one is still available and still great, the perfumer for the original was Edouard Fléchier. I actually think the old version is more unique. The new one is much sweeter.
I love both, but the old one (Acqua di Gio for women) is my fave as well.

I'm pretty sure there used to be an Acqua Di Gio for women too; greeny coloured bottle with a gold flat lid but I could be wrong. Acqua Di Gioia is perfect and effortless to wear, fresh but not super sterile and run of the mill, your review is excellent as always 😊
Tom, you are correct. I got that in the late 90s when it just came out and purchased the new version as well. It is such a fresh and classic fragrance that doesn't get old. 😊

Aqua di Gio for women is the sister of ADG for men. Very old, released in the 90s. Was my first perfume as a young lady.

Aqua di Gio for men was released in 1996, one year later than aqua di gio for women that was released in 1995. This one is discontinued for some time now, they released aqua di gioia in 2010.

Hi 👋 actually they didn’t wait so long to release the female version. They made one called exactly like the male version Acqua di Giò , but for women. And you should go smell that one as well being you a fragrance addicted 🤗

And it’s gross 🤮
This is my fav and I own two bottles. I’m a perfumaholic. I haven’t smelled the newer package versions.

So question, did this perfume go through a repackaging? It looks different than the ones out now. And I want to get the original one.
I ordered the 3.4oz from Belk.com a week ago for my gf and it's same box as in the video. Top is blueish green and fades to white towards the bottom. Eau de parfum is written in a teal colored foil font. The bottle is the same one shown at 3:12 .

I had aqua di gioia and nobody said that I smell like a woman when I wore it... but there are scents like the ones from Banana Republic - Icon Collection that are in that same category as this one and are better and less expensive IMO

Was this reformulated? Does Jasmine Samba smell like BO? I have Marc Jacobs Perfect Intense and never smelled it before until it sat for a while. I took the cap off to try and tone it down, probably evaporating what makes it unique.

I contacted Armani to state my opinion on them discontuing ADG Essenza. They suggested this alternative. I haven't smelled this but was pretty sure that it was nothing like Essenza. As for your reviewing women's fragrances, I have no interest in them. That should be another channel in my opinion.
