*You can support the channel with UA-cam Channel Memberships or through Buy Me a Coffee. Never expected, but always appreciated.❤Links in Description!* Another banger from Sade!! What should I check out next from her?!
I'm a huge Sade fan, and musically, you nailed it Steven, as usual (there's little I could add LOL). That being the case, and since you've asked, whilst this track may be one of my favourites, some of her others tracks that I love, which you might also want to check out include -- 'Your Love Is King', 'Paradise', 'No Ordinary Love', 'Kiss of Life', Never as Good as the First Time', 'Nothing Can Come Between Us', 'Cherish the Day', 'Hang on to Your Love' and 'Love is Stronger Than Pride'.
Sade is a Nigerian-born British singer, songwriter & actress. She is such an elegant lady with a very unique smoky voice. She had quite a few hits in the 80's such as "Smooth Operator", "Your Love Is King", "Paradise", "No Ordinary Love", "Is It A Crime?" etc.
Steven.. You MUST watch Sade LIVE!! She is an exotic Queen and her band is so cool!!!! **Nothing Can Come Between Us **No Ordinary Love **Love Is Stronger Than Pride **Kiss Of Life
I highly recommend your next Sade track be from the 2011 Bring Me Home live tour, which was video taped. It is epic, with Sade at that time in her early 50's and the same core band members. Start with "No Ordinary Love." Stunning performance!
Ned from Spain stopping in to watch the lovely and extra special Sade. When the 80's were filled with screechy excruciating pop idols dressed like clowns trying to out sexy each other Sade came along with her /their sophisticated cool sound and it was a sweet relief. She's a lot like Brazilian Bossa Nova singers Astrud Giberto Gal Costa and Maria Bethania and so naturally beautiful. I will always be a fan of hers, the music and her musicians.
I first saw Sade on Friday Night Videos with smooth Operator - and I was immediately bewitched. Her music only gets better and better. She's the main songwriter and produces - I think she's just incredible and doesn't get the recognition she should for how talented she is, probably because she's one of the most beautiful women in the world. Her live shows are AMAZING. Thanks for this! 🙂
I turned my new girl on to Sade in 1990, I had 4 or 5 of her CD's, and she loved it. We had it on down low many times when we were tangled up together.
She always sings slightly sharp (voice tracking software analysis), giving her a unique sound and a naturally beautiful voice. I don't know where she finds her musicians, but they are top-tier.
May I suggest you watch her Live Aid set....your mind will be blown.....one of the purest voices you'll ever hear.....she's up there as one of the purest voices ever.
Yes, the whole band is Sade. The original members were all part of a group called Pride and formed this new group, naming the band after Sade Adu (who's the lead singer and co-main songwriter).
Her band released an album called Sweetback in 1996 and they have featured guest artists like Maxwell on it. It is incredible. It is a must listen. The music is amazing.
Sade is the name of the band. Amazing group of creative musicians. The guy is this video is the same from the Smooth Operator. The third and final video in this series with the same guy is “Is It A Crime.”
Sade: vocals; Paul Denman-bass; Stuart Mathewman-Guitar/Sax; and Andrew Hale-keyboards...been together since their college days together in the...I believe, early 80s. Original video of 'Cherish the Day' is awesome.
Sade has done an incredible cover of the old Timmy Thomas classic Why Can't We Live Together, as well as an album track called Clean Heart which is of a similar vibe to Elvis' In The Ghetto, and both are not as well covered as the more famous ones - so why not give them some air time and delight us all.
Love Sade. And loved your reaction.. pls see next "Nothing Can Come Between Us", "Cherish The Day", "Hang On To Your Love" and the "Is It A Crime?" . This last one is a masterpiece.
All right my brother Stephen....This is one treasure chest that you do not want to close. Sade is a gem that outshines a diamond buy a long shot. Please continue to dive on into the rabbit hole love this band ‼️💯🔥🥁🎸🎹🎤😁👍🏼
Love the reaction! Keep going down the Sade rabbit hole, their discography is flawless. Arguably their best song is “Love is Stronger Than Pride”. Definitely react to that song.
I saw her in 1996 San Antonio Texas. She was amazing and beautiful.❤ she was also barefooted doesn’t wear shoes. I remember that but a beautiful voice.
Listen to Nothing Can Come Between Us, Never As Good as the First Time, Your Love is King, Hang On To Your Love and Kiss of Life just to name a few. ✨️😊💛
"Frankie's First Affair", "Is It A Crime", "Pearls" and soooo many others!! The Rabbit Hole for this band is pretty deep, my friend.. Love your opiniion from the musician and tech side.. I'm a musician and Pro Sound guy myself.. By the way, her Live Concert Videos are always pretty awesome. There's a lot of them on UA-cam for various songs and you get to see that band of hers go for it too!!
Another Artist that was pretty popular in the 80s that you may want to check out is Terence Trent D'Arby , the song - Sign Your Name - would be a good place to start
The best concert I have EVER seen was Sade. She just stood there barefoot and sang. (By the way Sade is the name of the band AND her name, short for Helen Folasade Adu. ✨️😲💛
Sade is a band that bears her name. every one of their albums are great from start to finish. Saw them in concert at the Hollywood Bowl during the Lover's Rock tour, they were spot on.
So glad you enjoyed it! (I suggested it when you reviewed Smooth Operator) If you want to check out their later stuff, you might like No Ordinary Love or By Your Side.
Helen Folasade Adu CBE, known professionally as Sade Adu or simply Sade, is a Nigerian-British singer and lead vocalist of her band Sade. Sade Adu was born in Ibadan, British Nigeria, and was brought up in England from the age of four. She studied at Saint Martin's School of Art in London and gained modest recognition as a fashion designer and part-time model before joining the band Pride in the early 1980s. She formed the band Sade, and secured a recording contract with Epic Records in 1983. Her success in the music industry was recognized with the honor Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2002, and she was made Commander in the 2017 Birthday Honours.
I have always loved this song. I don't know much about Sade, but when this one came out, I thought it was so beautiful. I am more of CCR kinda gal, but this one was great.
Not too many coming up with Sade in reacting. Very nice! Definitely recommend following it up with the video for "Is It a Crime" as it continues the story here.
Hey bud! Boy, that first album of hers made me a lifelong fan. She just never goes wrong. Don't miss "Jezebel". You'll never forget it. Love your channel!
Temor = FEAR (she's scared... probably that he might leave, but maybe, because she also found that gun in his glove box). Howdy Steven 🙋♂... such a great song. Glad you got to hear (and see) it !!! She's not a bad dancer either.
Sade was the soundtrack to my early days with the love of my life - and we’re still together and continue to listen to their music. You said it correctly that this was a breath of fresh air to the music scene when it came out. As mentioned, they have so many great tunes but a standout is ‘Is It A Crime’ with its unique arrangement. The band also recorded without Sade singing as the group Sweetback, worth checking out. Thanks for your wonderful reactions.
Yeah it’s a band, Sade and the whole band are unit. So many smash records, they’re great. But your first pause in the middle of when she says the THING they are most known for, their signature sound “Quiet Storm”, yeah that was a criminal pause man.
Steven, I'm still catching up on your channel. If you haven't already, would you please check out Jon Secada, Just Another Day..... it's a great song, and video. 😊

Steven, Sade is a Goddess. She has one of the great voices from the 80's to this day. Total class.

**Nothing Can Come Between Us

She is amazing, I’ve been a fan for 35 years ❤️ Timeless music
For vocals: you might also check out Toni Braxton or Anita Baker!!

👍👍
Born Helen Folasade Adu and known professionally as Sade. An amazing singer and still going today.
Sade has such a beautiful voice! No Ordinary Love, Your Love is King, Never as Good as the First Time, would be great follow-ups. So many!😊❤
Love your appreciation of songs/artists I have enjoyed for ‘years’ 💕
Thanks so much for hanging out! 😁

You should check out No Ordinary Love. It's a really cool song with a very unique sound.
I said it with the last song; everything about Sade is pure sultry seduction. The slow dance effortlessly sways to this song.
Try "Nothing can come between us" next. You'll love it!
I turned my new girl on to Sade in 1990, I had 4 or 5 of her CD's, and she loved it. We had it on down low many times when we were tangled up together.
Sade is pure class. I saw her in concert about 20 years ago.. Her band was EPIC!!!!
She always sings slightly sharp (voice tracking software analysis), giving her a unique sound and a naturally beautiful voice. I don't know where she finds her musicians, but they are top-tier.
Sade was always so classy. Add that to her talent and beauty...❤
SADE ! Yikes ..how unigue is this talent and soooooooooooo great !
May I suggest you watch her Live Aid set....your mind will be blown.....one of the purest voices you'll ever hear.....she's up there as one of the purest voices ever.

Make sure you check out the live version of Cherish the Day. Its absolute perfection.
Smooth song an elegant classy lady .
An absolute certified 80's classic .
Next: Sade - Is It A Crime. The video is a sequel to this one.
Why Cant We Live Together Your Love Is King
Her band released an album called Sweetback in 1996 and they have featured guest artists like Maxwell on it. It is incredible. It is a must listen. The music is amazing.
Sade is the name of the band. Amazing group of creative musicians. The guy is this video is the same from the Smooth Operator. The third and final video in this series with the same guy is “Is It A Crime.”
This video continues on to "Is It A Crime", which is, according to me, the best thing the band has ever recorded.

Her name is Sade Adu, but the band is also called Sade. She writes or co-writes all of the songs.
Is it a Crime? I just realised I've been a fan for 41 years!
ooooooooooooooooooo - LOVE SADE!! SO, SO SMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTH!!!! :) DIG IT! ENJOY, STEVEN!!!
Love the reaction! Keep going down the Sade rabbit hole, their discography is flawless. Arguably their best song is “Love is Stronger Than Pride”. Definitely react to that song.

Listen to Nothing Can Come Between Us, Never As Good as the First Time, Your Love is King, Hang On To Your Love and Kiss of Life just to name a few. ✨️😊💛
SADE is the name of her band as well as her name. Her voice is just absolutely amazing.
Kiss Of Life …is one of my favourites of theirs
You can hear she sang on multi tracks that were blended. She was just one of few singers with no vibreto in her singing
"Frankie's First Affair", "Is It A Crime", "Pearls" and soooo many others!! The Rabbit Hole for this band is pretty deep, my friend.. Love your opiniion from the musician and tech side.. Besides all the obvious suggests---so much good stuff!---I'd suggest "Cherry Pie". A 'hidden gem'.

Quality.
I had a couple of her albums back in the day, I just love her voice and her sound. Great music that's timeless.

If you look up the word "seductive" in the dictionary, you should see her picture.
Her band is brilliant........much like Simply Red (brilliant singer & great band)
I’ve covered a few of their tunes here on the channel! 🔥🔥
Yeah it’s a band, Sade and the whole band are unit. So many smash records, they’re great.
But your first pause in the middle of when she says the THING they are most known for, their signature sound “Quiet Storm”, yeah that was a criminal pause man.
Never heard the tune so didn’t know what was coming! 🤷🏻♂️
Such talent, that voice is one in a million!
Her backing mussitations are top notch!
