This channel has helped me realize that my projects don’t always have to look perfect and that imperfection is the stamp of handmade. The story of the object is more important. And I love it. Keep up the great work Evan!
Nice! These old car speakers surprised me with how good they sound- I guess they work a lot better in a quiet studio than in a stripped out car where they have to fight a ton of road noise haha
Came here because William Shouted you out. Watched the video of you making the Excavator handles, and then I just sat here for like 3 hours and watched all your videos from the beginning. So glad I did. I hope this channel serves you just the way you want it to.
Wow I was not expecting this. This style of fast projects and "low risk" jobs is so exciting to watch. So much of that has to do with your creative style you put on things. This was amazing Bev.
Man, if am being honest, I wasn't expecting a video from you soon, and just waking up to your UA-cam notification literally made my day. Much love from Kenya!!!
Speakers look great! Also love this video, great production and a simple idea. I think it will inspire people to go out to make their own things and not just what you are building.
You've got some serious content skills. I've been making stuff for years and just now getting started on UA-cam. Really inspiring. Greetings from Delaware OH🍜
Cool project. I've just found your channel and I've really been enjoying it. I was extremely supprised by the emotional range, and that's kept me watching each one of them. Thank you for making them. Unrelatedly, you have 3 speakers. Have you considered setting them up in a Hafler circuit? You set up the left and right speakers normally then put the third speaker behind you. The rear speaker is connected to both positive terminals of the amp. You get a kind of surround sound effect from it. I've never done it myself... nowhere to put the third speaker.
Just wanted to say, love the stuff you're doing. Especially the video about the sewing machine gave me "Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance" kind of vibes. Practically deduced philosophy, looking deeper behind things... Have you read it?
@@EvanMonsma it's a slow starter, I started to read it three times, but after a couple of chapters it had me sucked in. Then I became more fascinated the more it went on. oh and, if you buy the anniversary edition, don't read the introduction! they changed something in the book to improve understanding (for the better) but to explain it they had to spoil some parts of the story. ;-) And your videos are really inspiring to just do stuff, I love it that you just screwed the mouse on your desk, basically for a joke... maybe I'll leave some more comments over time. ;-)
i have some old speakers i bought from a junkyard a while ago, but they need a new wood case (dont know how they call it in English), and i would need an amp, so im scrapping the project for later. from the little knowledge i have on this topic, they would sound even better if you filled the inside with cotton or some fabric

Thank you! That's exactly the message I'm trying to spread. Much more fun to enjoy your hobbies with lower pressure
A short and sweet one for y’all this week 🤠
Experimenting with smaller projects between the bigger videos
Please keep on with the regular uploads.
The most inspiring channel I've seen in UA-cam.
I tried this once with some sad looking plastic cans. Didn't sound that great - however a client has offered me free speakers, so W.

"I'm in my element- shoddy woodworking."
That's the best 😂
Screwing junk together is just too much fun
"I don't know what they do, but they are sweet." You and most audio enthusiasts with regards to tubes, my dude.
Haha so true. Maybe they don't do anything...
They filter the signal to sound more "old school".

Thanks Pap :)
I love this cinematography and story telling, thanks for a great vid
Thank you!
Well done. Those speakers have a rad look to them. They will fit in great in your studio.
They fit right in with all the other scrap wood creations covered in paint haha
I always love the vibes of your videos. Very inspiring!
Thank you!

I don't know why but, your videos kinda have same vibe as Van Neistat.
Anyway, great content, lovin' it!
Thank you! That's high praise- big inspiration
Impressed by the narration Evan. Subscribed!
Great story telling as usual 💯💯 also, this type of smaller content is actually amazing so keep uploading them
Thanks! I'm definitely planning to do more small stuff in between the big projects
I dig it, keep the jank coming!

Looking forward to watching when I get back to the hotel. Comment for the algorithm and downloaded for later

I’m a vacuum sealed tube. I don’t really know what I do but I’m sweet ☺️

Thank you! I haven't read that one- I'll take a look, thanks for the recommendation!

Ah interesting- I'll look into that. I've got some scrap foam around that might do the trick
I'm still using the PC speakers my brother bought me for Christmas 1998
WAIT THEY'RE CUTE THOUGH
Yay :)
Keep being unique bro!
Thanks man
whats that amp? It looks so nice
douk st-01 pro. The same one exists under a few other brands too I think
Interesting how stereo sound works on this three.
Two are wired to the right channel- not ideal but it sounds better than just two
@@EvanMonsma sure it is.
@@EvanMonsmatry make one work in mono (combining 2 stereo channels) and put it in the center of two others.
The views on these videos are just ridicilous, must be 100x the amount!
I.S.R.U. baby!
Indeed
Wait I thought you had a steady hundred thousand view count
Reduce reuse recycle brother
I certainly believe in two of those
